The 296 sounds better than the SF90, and I'll say is the best sounding V6 I've ever heard next to the MC20! No doubt I'd take the 296 for less money.

SF90 for me
As it turns out the 296 GTB actually beat the 765 LT off the line in carwow's drag race and stayed ahead by a car length in all the races. That means it's faster than the P1 or LaFerrari.
Definitely doesn’t have quicker acceleration than either of those.
296gtb does 0-200 in 7.1 while p1 is 6.8
296 0-200 7.1, lafferaris is 6.9, 296 isn’t faster than any of them
@@tbu22 high HP cars will have a faster 100-200, the 298GTB might be quicker 0-100 because its lighter, but once they have momentum weight isn't an issue until braking. im just surprised how well the 298 does from a dig. Which is also what most owners of these supercars may prefer from driving their cars is the city speeds or 0-100. cant do 100-200 many places.
I prefer the 296 but I like the Red of the SF90 in the comparison...
What annoys me is that they removed the red “start/stop” button on the steering wheel for the 296.
Personally, I think it’s all a matter of preference. I have not driven either one. I did hear the 296 go bye the sound of the V6 is very impressive. I think anyone that can afford the 296 i’m sure can afford a FS 90 when you’re playing with that kind of money for the people who have it it’s probably a toss up. They are both beautiful, sexy cars. you probably won’t really notice a big difference until you take it to the track.
How many people realistically track these cars? I think they need to be fun on the road, and for that reason I prefer the 296 GTB. The noise from that V6 is very impressive.
I have been to water a few track days at Willow Springs. You’d be surprised how many people show up that’s the only place you can drive your car at full throttle, and not end up in prison

Its amazing how eveyone has forgotten how Acura/Honda has and amazing V6 twin turbo hybrid In the NSX and it's just as fast . For half the price .
Drove the SF90 and all I as a drivers car I tend to agree with the lackluster reviews on it. It’s blazing fast but doesn’t sound amazing and felt a bit heavy and numb, to top it off the styling just doesn’t work……it reminds me of mid engined Corvette prototypes that GM was showing in the 80’s and 90’s. I also drove a 296GTB at a Ferrari event and was much more impressed with how much more communicative and fun it was, it sounded better actually with its V6 than the V8 SF90 and in person it’s looks were stunningly beautiful. Performance was also amazing but unfortunately I found out when I got back from the test drive that I didn’t even have it in qualify mode and it was still that amazing
I drove the SF90 and 296 and the SF90 feels like your being pulled (4WD) rather than pushed like the 296 (RWD) - i also felt torque steer in the SF90 when flooring it... 296 was amazing, the MUCH better car

@@novrahadi8568 LOL! I am way beyond the point in my life when “fast” was enough. I had a 1000hp GTR about 6 years ago and after that car the definition of fast was changed forever. I personally chose 812GTS over the SF90 and am very happy with my choice. I have deposits on both the. Rivuelto and the Valhalla and I do sincerely believe that both of these cars are far superior to the half baked Ferrari ugly duckling. Just my two cents, of course.

Yes, the 296 GTB is more fun to drive. Just a shame that the steering is a bit numb, which is not common for Ferrari to have.

Why? The SF90 would win any race.
The sf90 is better in looks, speed, acceleration, driving/handling, & better hybrid. The four wheel drive would give the sf90 a crazy launch, but the acceleration is way better than an 296, winning a drive race by a long shot 🏎️

Wasn't the 206 (Dino) the first 6-cylinder engine, before they bored out the engine to 2.4L in the 246? I'd have the 296GTB for now, but the SF90 for a longer term ownership.
Videos do not do the 296 justice. Saw one last weekend, stunning from 100 meters away.

Only thing that’s puts me off of the 296 is the exterior design, 296 is faster and RWD fun while also being cheaper but man the SF90 just blows it away when it comes to looks.

Just received my 2022 296 and I’m loving it!
The SF90 Stradale is faster in the 1/4 mile and roll racing. On track they are close but experience wise the 296GTB is better from everything I have seen and the 296GTB sounds far better and would be my pick of the 2.

@888mf4 on the Autocar Dry Handling course the only none Ferrari run test they had the exact same time. So they are very equal. So it comes to experience.
Even the 296 is too much for public roads, really. And most people I know who have SF90s say they're boring. That said, I'd be happy with either
I would love to have either. Both incredible cars. However, I generally prefer cars with RWD. I think the 296 is a little more fun on this test.

I'd definitely go for the 296 which I ordered as the GTS version.
I have driven many cars in my life and must admit that I was a little sceptic concerning the V6 engine at first but the 296 is truly stunning and a bargain in my eyes if compared to the SF 90 which also is a great car for sure.

The SF90 is coarse and angular. Ferraris should look sexy. The 296 looks like a Ferrari. The SF90 looks... not.
I think the back of the 296 lets it back, the front is more ferrari like, the sf90 shows ferrari future direction with design

I have to agree. The 296 is more fun and a 296 GTS would be perfect for the summer. I haven't tried the McLaren Artura yet.

They're both nice but I can't get over the SF90's rear window design and engine cover, maybe they should have kept it cleaner. Something is off.
Absolutely gorgeous. And the cars weren't bad either! Out of the cars I like the looks of the 296, but I can't do without 4WD at those power levels!
The 4WD in the SF90 makes it very predicable. Also better for UK weather!!

Although obviously you are comparing two hybrid Ferrari’s and the cost difference BUT the New hybrid McLaren is even cheaper by far than the cheapest Ferrari on show, ALL THREE would have been a great comparison? I think you must the boat on this occasion?? Great content though, so nice to see from a man’s point of view the eye candy is much improved ???
I reached out to McLaren to provide and Artura. I got a reply after we filmed saying that there are very few available. I am not sure any customers have them yet in the UK either!! That video has also been done so I wanted to do something different and I think comparing both hybrid Ferrari's made sense.
The McLaren is built like a toy. They’re crap cars for anything but straight line and racing round a track.

I had a SF90 drove it 2000 miles , had lots of problems all software ….. my Ferrari dealer told me it needed a complete software rewrite , so I sold it , that’s when the problems really started Ferrari dealers don’t want them , values are dropping through the floor …. I would never buy a hybrid Ferrari they are to complicated.

I think the 296 will age better than the SF90. The new Toyota Prius now has the same front end as the SF90 and you can't unsee it. Seems to be a fad with those headlights.

Ferrari currently has one of the ugliest body designs since decades - if not ever. Probably because they decided not to engage REAL designers any more but let some in-house ‚technicians‘ do the job! Really BAD decision as everybody can easily see!

Porsche have two advantages. They still make cars with a manual gearbox and they also offer N/A engines. Two components that car enthusiasts love. If you want a N/A Ferrari then you always have the 812 Superfast!

I would take the sf90 ANYDAY over the 296. It simply looks beautiful. The 296 on the other hand is probably one of the worse looking Ferraris ever made. And will all that power, why wouldn’t you want 4wd?
