Thank you for posting this, I'll be making use of it in January. Didn't realise it was there!

It is little known! I’ve been to the arrivals lounge whilst waiting to get picked up about 4 times….now I’ll have to ask my lift to come later so I can experience this room. 🤣.

Great insight. Always wondered what the arrivals lounge was like as I’ve never used it. It doesn’t look overused tho. Not sure why - unless your going straight home or to the hotel it’s a great opportunity to freshen up particularly after a long flight. Very enjoyable video.

Thanks for sharing, I've a connection to Manchester to I presume I'll have to head for the main concorde room instead

Yes but there are showers airside too next to the Concorde room but they can get very busy in the morning with flight connections. Best to stick at the bar in the Concorde room instead 😉 Enjoy!

I once went into this arrivals lounge on a 3 hour layover just to check it out, and then went back through security and over to the Concorde room. As long as you don't mind going back through security, there's nothing stopping you using this facility and then heading to your connecting flight.

Hi Conor, Thanks for this video. I’ve used the showers lots of times in Arrivals but didn't know about the cabanas. Can you request them too if traveling in Club or only First do you know?

HI , When there is a que for showers then only 1st class and Gold Guest list passenger can use the cabanas, if there is no queue for showers then club passengers can use the Cabanas. Just ask the shower receptionist.

The Arrivals lounge has been refurbished now please come again, shower rooms are the next thing to get refurbished but concorde room is still the same and the cabanas are still the same. cabana rules have changed, Business passenger can use cabanas aswell only when there is no queue for showers. When there is a que for showers, then only First class passengers and GGL passengers can use Cabanas.

We are arriving in First Class from San Francisco with a two-hour layover before flying First Class to Dubai. Would we use this arrivals lounge or go to the Concorde Room in the main Terminal 5? We both want to take showers before our leg to Dubai. Thanks for any insight.

Sorry for the delay! You will likely use the Concorde Room facilities, as the arrivals lounge is land side, requiring you to enter into the UK! Have a great trip!

But why is this better than the departure lounges?

Because you might not be connecting, and you will probably get access to the cabana quicker here.
