Want we worden alleen echt geraakt wanneer we het oncontroleerbare ontmoeten: zoals bij sneeuw op eerste kerstdag, of een onverwacht mooi gesprek. Een gecontroleerde wereld, stelt de Duitse socioloog Hartmut Rosa, is een dode wereld. En angst, depressie en vervreemding zijn de symptomen van deze ontwikkeling.
