K Gyasi and his band mentored many great musicians like OPK , Akwaboah, Kwafo, K Frimpong, Kofi Sammy , Peter Yaw Barima long before the Noble Kings that featured Eric Agyeman, Thomas Frempong, Tommy King, Ralph Karikari , Tawia of the seventies.

The original Mansa by same K Gyasi Band was done by Akwaboah and OPK whose mothers were both called Mansa(OPK/Asaman and Akwaboah/ Mmaaban) RIP.

i met OPK at Agona Asamang in 1989. Depression made him a drunkard. Atwima Mansa was OPK's mother.
