📖 Your voice is really nice to listen to while I craft, it feels like I have a crafting buddy with me. :)
I don’t mind you working on a lot of DAC. It’s pretty much all I work on these days. My wip is Rain, which is an older DAC kit. I’m loving it. We were snowed in all last week. We got 9 inches of snow on Monday (MLK Day), which is a lot for middle Tennessee and frigid temperatures, so it didn’t go anywhere all week. It’s finally above freezing this week and the snow is almost gone. Enjoyed hearing about your trip to Ohio and happy Connor was able to make his snow angels!📚📖
When you said “I like bigger trays”, the song that goes “I like big trays and I cannot lie, you other diamond painters can’t lie, that when a big tray walks in and shakes” immediately played

If you are interested I just did a video on how to make the pen tip hole a bit wider to fit the DAC tips. It’s quite simple and doesn’t harm the pen. Yay for seeing some Canadian small shops in your video! I think it’s still nice to see post reviews if the painting is not available. They do have an XL size tray. Pretty mug! Thanks for the chat!

Hi Katie X Thank You for the WIP and Chat 📚. I feel at the moment I am going mad and I need to rewatch as my brain wandered 🤦♀️. I have seen this kit and I feel somebody has said it has been archived? (Could be wrong as brain fog at the moment is bad). I will go and re watch in a few hours so if I coment again please ignore lol.
Oh yes I felt like I was losing my mum all over again when my dad decided to sell our family home. We didn't move into it till I was just 16 but it seemed to hold the most memories. It was our family home till I was 42. X

Quick tip. Go thru and put a Dragon Emoji at the end of the title for each dragon kit in your stash. Then you can search for that emoji and see how many you have. I do this emoji filtering for all kinds of categories in my stash. For example 💎blue diamond is for a large full drill. (Meaning over 40 cm on a side.). I have small full drills (40 cm or smaller on a side) labeled with the red exclmation ❗️holiday kits get emojis too. Super handy for easy filtering.

📚 I also have mild eczema and my go to treatment is literally, just Vaseline. It has helped deal with the dry, itchy skin, by putting it on the spots that’s affected.
As for what can trigger eczema, it can vary. So, dry seasons aren’t the only trigger for it. Based on what I’ve read, it can even be the things that you put onto your skin, like soap.
I think my triggers, at the moment, is stress and dry air.

📕📗📘📙 im currently reading twisted games and it is so good. I am doing alright I have been sick the past few days trying to just keep chugging along. Was working on artist room while listening to this video. And I personally dont mind if you do DAC canvases one after the other as long as you are enjoying what you are working on thats all that matters 🫶🫶 I also woke up this morning and realized it was wip and chat day and I was very excited to watch/listen but just now got to the video. Thank you for posting these videos they really give me comfort while crafting ☺️☺️

📚Anne McCaffrey’s dragon books were my passion in middle school. I devoured them! During this chat I kitted up the new mystery kit from Paint Gem. The pallet is really pretty and the sixteen images look like..er..a common house hold object. No spoilers here. I’m glad I bought it. 😁

For the small shop hauls, just an idea, you could take a page out of planner youtube where for their hauls they will film in parts when they get things in and then once they have enough clips they just edit them together with an intro and outro. That could help you not get backed up potentially. Just an idea 😊

I bought a tray from Yellowdog’s shop. It is in Canada, so it took a bit longer to receive. But, it was well worth it. I love this tray. It’s heavier than any other tray I have, so it’s not easy to tip over. I highly recommend this company.

I actually use a seam ripper to clean out my was from my tools 😅 nothing wrong with using them as long as it gets the job done
It's cold here in Massachusetts, but perfect for staying in and diamond painting! Sarah Maas's books are on my list to listen to, but I just restarted Pillars of the Earth because a sequel just came out. I always like to restart a whole series before continuing on. Anyone else? 📚

If you're still needing Sarah J Maas plot summary I love the ones from "Cari can read." I thiiink she's done both Crescent City books. She has a really fun energy about her summaries, and any poking fun at the books are from a place of love since she's a fan. 💜📚

I would like to see a comparison video of La Lune mostly because I’m curious about the rendering styles. It’s always fun to see how different shops render paintings. But zero pressure! And I’m so sorry about that six hour layover. Those unexpected wait times are soooo tough, especially with little ones. And yay for Karen puzzles! 📚 Personally, I'd be really interested to see your review of La Lune. For me, it's about the experience of diamond painting over whether or not it's still available, especially as you've said the piece is special to you. Plus, it might be useful to see issues that may present themselves with other paintings that aren't exclusive to that particular company, but diamond art overall and the troubleshooting methods you used. However, it's your time and your content, so go with how YOU feel about it ✨️😊
📚I’m working on my first Diamond Art Club canvas, Randal Spangler, Beartime Stories. Loving the quality of this kit, bright,sparkling colors and the excellent printing on the canvas. I start my day with a hot cup of coffee and DP…last year it was Jigsaw puzzles. I was surprised to see some of the jigsaw puzzle pictures are also the same ones in the DP world. Have a great day. 😊

Congratulations on finding the dragon mug. My son works at a local Starbucks and always gets the “new” mugs, cups and tumblers. He actually brought this one home a few weeks ago and I thought it was a unicorn until I saw your previous video looking for them. I did a google search just to see what it looked like and realized I had it sitting in my cabinet. 😂 It really is pretty. ❤🦄🐉

Yellow Dog does sell larger trays, Katie. I have two sizes and love them. I have a couple with a raised ledge which are my favourites. 📚❤
Lisa...I haven't placed an order with Yellow Dog yet. I'm a beginner DP'er. Would you recommend the raised ledge over the regular one?? How about large size over regular size? Do you recommend the lid option? I've only ever used the DAC trays. Thx for your feedback ❤
I personally like the raised ledge as it keeps the extra drills out of the way of the lined up ones, but I also love my regular tray from them too. I prefer the smaller size, but I did buy a large one too for when I have large areas of color blocking and need a lot more drills in my tray. I don't usually use a cover but when I have a lot of drills to pour out, I like the cover. From Yellow Dog you can get both a full cover and also a partial cover - I like both. I am so scatterbrained that leaving a diamond painting in the rain is definitely something I’d do lol. We can just call it a totally on purpose experiment testing the sealant’s water proofing. I’d love to see a review of it even just for that. I adore Karenpuzzles, she makes me want to puzzle but space issues get in the way, I have a couple I bought a long while ago but my fiancé and I just have to get on it. 📚

It would have so been me, I would have forgotten the canvas as well. I do enjoy the different canvases you do but I’d not judge over too many of one or the other. I just enjoy the time. I am working on a DAC my daughter gave me for Christmas and I jus5 try to do what brings me joy. I have major anxiety over things that I replay constantly and then depression. I do like that you make this something anyone can go through and we just need to care for ourselves. Thank you for being you and just sharing your time. I have been talking to a new Therapist for about two months. I really like her. I need her to help me stop my impulsively shopping. This is part of my ADHD. I don't understand why Americans are so against psychological therapy. Considering the fact most of them need therapy.

PS I agree Karen Puzzles makes great videos! I also enjoy watching @puzzlephile, though he doesn't post as much.
I have also been having issues with my DAC multi and single placers. I've ordered several and half of them are too large to fit in any pen. It's a major bummer because they are so expensive and wonderful when they work, but half are completely unusable. I did email customer service with pictures of one of them but they said that's how they are supposed to be and wouldn't replace it.

Bummer! I did find a fix in this case, after the video! I thought to try swapping out the single and multiplacer, and they both fit in the opposite spots just fine. I’m sorry about the trouble with yours!

We're staying warm here in OK. The ice storm went through last night. Power is on but afraid to leave the house cause the deck out front is so slick you'll take one step and go weeee! I just went through my stash and saw I had a lot of canvases from DAC as well. I'm making it a mission to pick up more kits from small shops this year. If I play my cards right this year I'll have my own appartement. I plan to take two weeks off to go back to my parents house and go through what I wanna take vs donate. I'm an only child and have a lot of things so that will require a small pod for sure
No doubt about going weee because I definitely did that exact thing when it went through here 😂 I stepped on the first step and went flying down the rest of them 😅 not the way i wanting to get down the steps lol

So nice to see you are enjoying your experience with the Canadian company accessories! I hope you get to try a pen by Creations Morin one day too! They are really awesome :) I do have a questions, do you find it a bit challenging to multiplace beyond 8-9 round drills with the new thin multiplacers? I found my 12-placer didn't quite "stretch" or match the canvas if I used the full length and I was constantly adjusting drills on the tail end of my placement... Love the channel!! Also it's funny that I discovered diamond painting through Karen Puzzles and that's what lead me to you! :D
I didn’t realize they had pens until after I ordered the putty! I’d definitely like to try one. I’m definitely running into a little difficulty with large multiplacers matching the grid well once you stretch to the end, but honestly I can’t pinpoint if it’s the placers or the grid on the kits. I typically place the first half down, and then stretch over a bit to make the rest line up a little better. And usually end up going back to fiddle a little bit with the singleplacer.
I haven’t tried the perforated canvas covers yet, but I’m apprehensive for all of the reasons you gave. I love using my washi tape in whatever bite size I want. I’ve been concerned about how the perforated breaks would impact cutting where I want to. I also abhor the idea of putting lines over the perforations. I want to see the canvas. It was like you crawled inside my brain and found all my thoughts on the matter. 📓
I’m working on Love Bard that has the perforated plastic. I’m not sure about it yet, but I’m giving it some time (I don’t like change 😅 or being told what to do either). It’s hard for me to find where I need to put my washi tape so I feel like that takes up more time than I want to take so I’m on the fence. But I definitely wouldn’t want a more distinct line in case I don’t want to do that measurement. We’ll see what they do I guess lol
We definitely need a post review of your last finish because I’m interested to see it after it’s been in the rain 😂
