- Investigate the theories surrounding cosmic dust bunnies and discover how the tiny particles could hold the key to the formation of life on Earth.
--
Consider the spot where you’re sitting. Travel backwards in time and it might’ve been submerged at the bottom of a shallow sea, buried under miles of rock or floating through a molten landscape. But go back about 4.6 billion years, and you’d be in the middle of an enormous cloud of dust and gas orbiting a newborn star. What exactly is this cosmic dust? Lorin Matthews investigates.
Lesson by Lorin Swint Matthews, directed by Frederic Siegel (Team Tumult).

Ted-Ed definitely deserves more subscribers, especially for how well they teach us with these well-animated videos...
@@motorhugh289 true, even top notch channels like Scishow, a channel that collaborates with government backed channels like PBS and who create videos pretty much daily only have about 5.9 million subscribers. Your average Joe doesn't want to have to think so they usually stick to lets plays and mindless skit shows like Markiplier, Pewdiepie, or Smosh.
Damn, I thought I was gonna get a heart
*When you realize*
The spot you are sitting on might have been submerged on the bottom of a shallow sea buried under miles of rock, floating through a molten infernal landscape or in the middle of an enormous cloud of dust and gas

Exactly! I thought they meant dust bunnies, as if how dust collects on earth.

So when your mom tells you to clean your room remember that the Earth is made of dust
Science certainly has a way of naming things.
Yet scientists are really bad at naming
Science come from latin word is scientia(maybe i write wrong but forget it)scientia mean knowlege this is why it name science it doesnt deep much but it basicly knowlege 2(i doesnt write comment for a long time)
:-D

We are that ooey-gooey yet crunchy satisfying bite that forms in the corner of the lasagna pan.
I would have some allergic reactions if I adopted this little bunny 😀😀😀

Videos in your channel is just awesome 🤩
This video is a fine example of the brilliance of this channel compared to other similar educational ones currently on CZcams: Well timed, so very abstract, such great graphics and graceful voice over!
TedEd has consistently been one of the best channels on CZcams... Well done!
Ted-ed's animation never fails to amaze. this one in particular is great. Thanks ted-ed!
Finally, more detail. Thank you.
Kids of the past: there's bunnies on the moon
Other kids: no there's bunnies all over space
Adults: Nope.
Dust bunnies: that's where you are wrong kiddo

Wow, just imagine that the birth of our Earth took millions of years, what a Labour!
Amazing how altering a small step in the random sequence of series could alter the formation of life itself. *makes mind blown sign*
4:08 "girl im gonna jump in"
Does that mean if I don't clean my room, for a long time, somehow at some point a new galaxy will be made?
Animations top notch!

Just one word. Wow!
Okay, so those dust particles are all fluffy and dusty, but I was waiting for an actual explanation for why they named it 'bunny'.
i don't think they actually are referred to as dust bunnies, i'm pretty sure it was just a fun way they were phrasing it for the video. generally it's called interstellar dust
Eh "What's up doc? "
-Dust bunnies up in the universe.
Thanks ted ed for explaining nuclear fission in star. It has helped me in physics concepts.
Ted Ed has taught me so much more than I've ever learned in school.

The guy jumping off the asteroid at 4:07 😂
Give your animators a raise.
Take a minute to appreciate the animator's hard work 👍

Who names these things?? 😂🤔
Imagine how human history would have been changed if just one dust particle was out of place.
Dang, time is amazing when you think so long about it, ain’t it?
What created the whole galaxy and beyond, where did it all started ???
I 💞 TED ED
Ok, hear me out, what if it was a civilization of alien rabbits building Earth piece by piece from their poop pellets?
We're listening...
Niceeee
Before watching the video, I thought this was going about the secret significance of dust bunnies in our homes.
What do you use to create these animations?
Is this using 'Cosmic Vertigos dust bunnies? Thats the main reason i clicked on the video
