Nice job.
Saw these “operator wanna be” guys with tricked out glocks fail miserably. You killed it with your stock glock.
You move quickly but shoot deliberately. Reminds me of a Clint Smith saying, “don’t shoot fast, shoot good”.
Thanks for the free lesson.

Very nice drill to practice. Never know, it may come in handy someday. Training is always good. Thanks Reid. Shoulder to shoulder.
The tier 1 concealment guys really struggled with this one. Cool to see that Reid doesnt!
Are they new shooters? These are very lenient quals . Par times are very generous, especially for air marshals
@@JoshBenware nope, theyre very advanced. Check out the video
@@CiviTac just watched. They used a 4x6 target. I think Reid's target was an 8 or 10 inch circle. They had to stress more on accuracy which takes more time. Not sure who's test was correct, or one did a more updated quality than the other. I'd say that the one they dix would be harder
They also used modded guns with red dots.
That 'bottle' fits perfectly on vulnerable body parts.
Good to see you out there shooting Reid. Hope the mowing is going well. :)
I used to have a friend who was an air marshal. He said they train , train , train , train , train, train , train , train , train , and train. He said they train so much that he was sick of shooting.
Why the hell did I get a notice in the patreon notification that this was dangerous.. .algorithm is out of control
Yes it is
Thanks Reid!
Well done again buddy, really nice job love what you do and stand for, ☺☺
For CCW, I like this qualification course better than the FBIs. But, I also respect the FBIs longer range shooting for their qualifications.
Apples......oranges, I guess, but each course seems pretty ok for their respective agents.
For comparison, if I took 100 students, I could get 99 of them to pass the FBI qual in less than 2 days.
If I took 100 students, I could get half of them--maybe less-- to pass the Air Marshal qual in less than 2 days.
@@ReidHenrichs Those percentages don't surprise me at all. My only point on the cakewalk FBI course is the 25 yard part can be beneficial for trigger control, sight picture, etc. Of course the time limits are super generous.
Outstanding tutorial !!!
Semper Fidelis
That would be very tough for today's crop of applicants, anytime you go from standing to kneeling or prone that puts alot of strain on bottom surgeries
I do agree. Mobility is key. Keeping accuracy standards high as well as mobility in the mix takes practice. My knee surgery slows me down. But not by much. I am at 98% recovered from a total knee joint replacement surgery
@@_HoneyBadger Thanks for clearing that up. I pictured obese Americans with butt surgery instead, which didn't seem to fit what one might be referring to.
@@freesoulsoldierdavid9883 I'm looking for good joint supplements. Do you take any now that you can vogue for?
@@_HoneyBadger yes sir you are most correct 😁
But also glad your knee is doing better
Reid, the correct target for the original Federal Air Marshal Test is the FBI-QIT-97 and has the inner bottle at 3 inches wide in the head area and 4 inches wide in the chest cavity. The outer bottle is smaller than the -1 down area on an IDPA target. I have those targets and it is an extremely difficult drill to pass when using it. Hits in the inner bottle count as 5 points and hits in the outer bottle count as 2 points. A maximum score is 150 points and a passing score is 135 points. I pull these targets out periodically and run the test. Nothing like a big dose of humble pie.
100% right!
Greetings Reid,
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.
Thank you for the priceless lessons giving us the techniques to survive and thrive I just basically finish battling successfully so far hoping to get my two sons and myself out to Valor Ridge next year.
God bless Y'all and much peace and love from northeast Texas 🤠🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thank you 😊
Great Job Reid
Nice drill
Thanks Reid
Great job
I really like this one. I'm an new instructor and was looking for a good test for concealed carry.
The quality of the video is not how it was filmed. It’s the information in the video that is quality. Stay safe out there friends.
Very helpful, thanks
Good stuff
Thanks again Reid. Great info here.
Great shooting , great instruction. Tks
Shooting drills are not only training, they can be fun competition with a friend. A bit expensive with today's ammo prices.
Good
Job👍🏻
GREAT 👍 KEEP ON GUNNING! THANKS!
Well done Reid. Happy Thanksgiving.
Happy Thanksgiving, Reid! 🦃
Get the right target and try it again. You will QUICKLY find out why the old FAM qual was the hardest in L.E. Shoot it cold. Make times or instant fail. Fail 3 times in a row on 3 different days and your out of a job! No stress!
Great video. I would arm wrestle the few who thumbed down the video just to change their mind. Hahaha
Another great one from a great AMERICAN!
Is the aspect ratio screwed up for anyone else? I've got hives black bars on the side no matter how I hold my phone.
FYI - Landscape format is much nicer to view.
Great shooting Reid.
Gotta love that ole Tennessee red dirt.
Great shooting!
Cool video thanks.
Good stuff Reed. Will make it over to a class soon.
Great vid Reid. I like the Stihl hat too, even though I run mostly Huskys.
Great Info 👍🏻 Happy 🦃 Reid to You and Yours 🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸
That was awesome I like that technique
Nice practice different
Nice
you failed the most important test: filming in landscape mode ;)
Makes me nuts…
Excellent drills. I’ll definitely start working on them. Air Marshals have to work in confined spaces like a lot of civilians in their every day life.
Nice drill..what timer do you use? Happy Thanksgiving day! 🎚🙏🇲🇾🇲🇾🇲🇾🇲🇾
I don't get the par times. It says x.xx par for the drill do it twice can't exceed 2(x.xx). Do you aggregate the drills or measure them separately?
Because the only way to go over the combined time would be to go over on one of the drills. But isn't that a fail anyway?
Affirmative.
Good stuff. Fairly certain this was developed by a couple former CAG guys after joining the air Marshalls.
🇺🇸 FREEDOM 🇺🇸
Reid, have you ever thought about ways to make groups/classes larger to accommodate more people? I bet you have and decided against it due to not wanting to reduce a class's effectiveness. I see you're booked well in advance. Good stuff. I like your videos.
If I could offer some video suggestions, not that your content is lacking, but I think some useful subjects would be what else to spend money on besides firearm after firearm after another firearm. Especially when bans or rules become threats; firearms just fly off the shelves. I bet most of those go to men & women who already own many firearms, so maybe the money could go to other things you know are important that many of us don't know about, or haven't even considered like IFAKs, body armor, night fighting tools, comms, etc. Or, become a life member somewhere like the GOA, or SAF instead of that new gun. Just spitballing here.
What's that holster ?
You get the whole bottle, but that doesn't mean you should use the whole bottle.
That sentiment could go a long way in life.
The bottle giveth and the bottle taketh away.
Sooo, what is the new course of fire?
I'm guessing they lowered the standards just to get more warm bodies while praying they never have to actually be in a shooting situation
Exactly. Something I had heard, later confirmed by an A.M. I know. When the program expanded they could not get enough people who could pass the shooting standards so they lowered the standards and said it was to have a qualification course more similar to other places for legal reasons. The qual uses a target more difficult than the one shown in this video, see my post.
Great drill I have to ask what’s your opinion on RMR red dot pistols?
I am a fan of yours. Been with you since you left Yager but.......should have aimed for better quality video
Right drill, wrong target. The original target was a shortened Q but it has a small center section which is 15 inches tall and only 4 inches wide at the bottom and the top third of it being 3 inches wide. Most of the hits had to be in that section. Five points for hits in the small center, two points for hits elsewhere. Almost everyone who demonstrates this drill uses the wrong target.
And they ALL use the incorrect weapon. The weapon used was the Sig 229 chambered in .357 Sig.
I'm sorry, I thought this was going to be a Spongebob episode. I'm sure not everybody will get it.
Here's my go

Reid man, the vertical potato vision, it's not your normal style? Pretty painful to watch, even if the info is invaluable.
They look like milk bottles
When you're a cool cat, everything else is just milk?
Just using my mod1 mk 0 eyeball and guestimating the qit 97 inner zone you look to be about 11 down for a score of 117. About 18 points short of passing! Bwahahahahahaha! "Cleans it".....NOT!
Definitely not the original qualification.
What is wrong with video? It’s so small
Please don't do videos in this format !! Do them in the wide-screen format Please!!!
I hate these vertical videos.
