Can't wait to hear you say " a rheumatologist physician " in the near future
Me too!! I can't believe how soon that will be!!
Can someone explain how soon? đ„ł
YES!!!!
I have a rheumatologist!
They are so very important for people like me!!
Monika S If Iâm not mistaken, internal medicine is 3 years and then rheumatology is 2-3 years (depending on the program), 5-6 total. So I assume sheâs got 1 or 2 years left if sheâs a 4th year right now.
@@Mark-fo6ij She'll be an attending on July 1st 2022
I love how siobhans eyes are so expressive even through her mask I can see all her emotions
Me after watching enough of Siobhanâs videos âthe on call room doesnât have a computer what TRASHâ
haha there's no doubt that is a serious inconvenience. At this hospital we still write notes and orders by hand, so the call rooms don't have computers... although if/when there's a new EMR i'm sure we will get computers in the call rooms. I also wish they were there already! haha
@@ViolinMD Oh, I see! Itâs so cool to hear/see how different other hospitals can be! Props to you, I canât imagine having to chart, round, or write orders by hand! Haha!
@@sierraacarter many hospitals in Canada still donât have emr or online charting system. During nights the nurses often write verbal orders after calling doctors
@@sierraacarter I love you

I cannot believe you wake up so fresh faced and bright eyed!! Especially since have to I drag myself out of bed late and grumpy every day. You are such a compassionate and friendly doctor, your patients are lucky to have you!!
I love how positive you are despite being on such a draining job. I always look forward to your videos. Keep up the good work!
Thanks Siddharth!

My grandma dealt with liver failure for the past 4 years and eventually passed in October of 2020. She had multiple procedures and a TIPS as well. It was nice to see the other side of it and reminded me of everything she went through
Hi Sandi, I'm sorry to hear about your grandmother. It sounds like she went through a lot and I'm glad that you were able to have some extra time with you because of the procedures. Sending my best to you and your family!
@@ViolinMD thank you! â€ïž
Just wanted to say thanks for your vids, been watching for years and now I'm finally a first-year med student! In fact, the case in your last video about untreated thyroid disease helped me on a recent exam!
WOW CONGRATULATIONS on getting in to med school!! woohoo!! and glad you will never forget about myxedema coma now!
Gravesâ disease I had that for years untreated!!!! Itâs horrible
Congrats too!
Right now I am a EMT. Yesterday I worked with a paramedic for the first time and I put on a 12 lead ecg on a patient and I helped him spike an IV it was so exciting it makes me want to become a doctor. Thanks for posting these really inspiring!
That's fantastic to hear Jay! Keep it up, this is very exciting!!
Where are you from? I'm a RN in PA, USA & my boyfriend is an EMT & it's standard practice for him to do EKGs & prime tubing for the medics, he can even do finger sticks!
Hey great job man. We all start somewhere.
Hello whenever I watch you it inspires me even more to be a doctor and I'm only 13
Hi Katie - that's so wonderful to hear! Great to have you in the community! âșïž
Same Iâm 13 too, and this is really inspiring, idk why but Iâm thinking about my future already. Even though being a doctor seems really hard, I know itâs really important.

RIP Uncle. đ
Thank you for taking us along, Siobahn! Hope you are doing well!
Hey Randy, always great to see you here! Glad you enjoyed the video!
My mom said it took a team of 10 to move me from icu to cat scan... She was amazed at how talented they were.
You are seriously such a good doctor. I've been blown away by your diagnosing skills. Some of the best doctoring I've ever seen.
I donât know if you will see this but seeing you as a Doctor pushes me to be one. I have no hope in my life except my education đ„ș. The medical field is my passion and I know one day I will be able to walk into your shoes too đ„șâ€ïž. Thanks for being so amazing

@@monykalynf3604 awe thank you so much maâam Iâm 15 1/3 actually and am taking a Medical Pathway offered at my high school and ever since I was a little girl at age 8 Iâve always shown interest in the medical field đ
@@monykalynf3604 yess!
Hii! Iâm 11 and I really want to become a doctor just like u! U inspire me!
the whole road to residency really overwhelms me sometimes and makes me second guess the path I've chosen to strive on, but your videos make the destination seem so great. I really wanna do this!! Amidst all the match week frenzy, I felt so down and scared of failure but this was a pick me up
When I worked at the hospital in my town as a transporter, moving patients to and from the ICU was always so nerve wracking
So to know that you personally helped take the patient back is amazing! â€ïž
I wish there was a dr like you when my mom was in the icu with septic shock. The one we had was good medically wise, but had zero bedside manner, and one of the first nurses was so rude. My cousin was an icu nurse in a different state at the time and he called me that night to check in. I was in tears because of that nurse and Dr. The treatment towards us, and the refusal to answer our questions was insane. We had put him on the list to get info on my mom so he ended up speaking to the head nurse, and an administrator about the nurse. My mom's general surgeon who worked with a completely different hospital would call in nightly, and then call me. She actually also reported the nurse. She spoke to the Dr we didn't like due to her coldness and agreed that Dr needed some bedside manners since she was in the icu. Between my mom's general surgeon and my cousin we didn't have to ask questions, they knew what to ask, what needed to be done and ect and then would call me at night and relay everything.
I love how she enjoys her life and her job...
Iâm in school to be a cardiac sonographer and my test Monday is on heart murmurs. What a coincidence. Love when heart things pop up and I fully understand whatâs going on ! Love your videos!
As someone who is post transplant liver failure is something that scares me every day!!! But at the same time I am so grateful for my Donors and their families as I have unfortunately have had to have 2 transplants now, the last being in January. (I was born with a rare liver and kidney disease called hyperoxalouria causing me to need my first transplant in 2015) unfortunately over the 6 years i had many complications mainly a blood clot in the main hepatic artery to my liver causing causing me to need my second transplant. This transplant is going really well along with my recovery đ
Doctors are the most honorable people other being in the Army!
Thank god there is a CZcams Creator who films my favorite genres.
One thing I totally love about the channel is that how nicely they teach us the problems they treat â€âš
I have so much respect for you and all the hard work you and every icu staff members around the world do. I myself have been home for a few days after two excruciating weeks in hospital and i have major respect for healthcare workers more than ever. Your videos are amazing
Me too!!!â€â€â€đđđ
That feeling when youâre on call and having a quiet night with no admissions or any trouble in the ward is UNRATED! đ„șđȘ I got a solid 6hours of sleep during my last call and I couldnât believe itđ€Łđ
Infective endocarditis- I had that. One replacement valve and a year and a half later I can go "Wooo"! at home just like it was a stand up set and the comic was asking if anyone was from Edmonton.
Lots of love and respect to you from India! I'll be sitting for my medical entrance examination this year and I need your blessings ad prayers... I truly want to be someone like you one day.
Did you ever get around to finish eating that delicious food?
haha yes!! good point, didn't show that!
I had my first dose Tuesday, went to work Wednesday morning and in almost no time I was sooo tired that I almost fell asleep.
I admired your hard work and dedication! God bless you

Always love your videos. It gives me such appreciation for the doctors with whom I work as a nurse.
I always enjoy your positivity and energy! Keep posting and keep making our days!
Hi. Long time fan. I just wanted to let you know how thankful I am for the videos you post. I started following your channel around the same time I first started my own path towards medicine. I didn't have a ton of people that supported my decision but your videos have inspired and still inspire me. Thank you so much for being so positive and relatable. I know tons of people have already told you this, but I really do mean it. Thank you
Please donât stop making these videos! Youâre wonderfully informative and intriguing! Thank you for your hard work Dr. Siobhan đ
I love these kind of videos, i'm learning a lot. Thank you so much for this day in the life and somewhat case discussion videos, like why is the procedure done and what are the usual management or medications given to a certain disease. More power to this channel.
