Are you guys finished with the dyno day that kx500 and 98 KX250 with turbo crank?

I don't know if we will ever be completely done with either bike :-) However, the KX250 showed a 7hp gain in the upper midrange and 5hp gain on top. When I saw that I couldn't wait to do the KX500. Unfortunately it lost as much HP as the 250 gained. So we are working on both bikes to see why the 250works so well and not the 500. There will be more posted on both bikes as more info becomes available.

KX Sandblaster have you guys heard of pulse injected carb a from Ron McCord but he doesn't selling no more cuz he had a stroke like a year ago. I'm putting my 1996 KTM 360 with PRC crank, pulse injected carb and the cylinder was supported by swedetech cart racing, the whole motor has been cryo heat treated and the transmission has been micro polished.
Now I'm kind of scared since you told me it doesn't work on big bores.

Well... I never said it didn't work on big bores... At this point our testing is very limited and directed only for the KX500. A KX500 does not respond well to crankcase volume changes like a lot of other engines do. So it may be just the design of the KX500... We have a lot of testing to do. Yes, I have heard a lot about the pulse carb setup. Adam Millar has done a bunch of pulse testing on his CR500 and really likes it. I really want to test a KTM 300 with the Turbo crank. But I have so many other projects to do I just don't have the time right now.

KX Sandblaster can you please post a picture of the KX 250 dyno, on the OEM cycle thread? I can't wait to see, I used to have a 98 KX 250 it was also black so I was wondering if you guys bought it from California?

www.kxguru.com Go to bike builds and rebuilds. The KX250 was purchased locally in Oregon about 12 years ago. When Jason bought the bike is was all green...
