    This channel has the best coverage of the fires. I'm from Texas but I can't stop watching these fires. I feel bad for everyone, this is mindblowing. Prayers to everyone to be safe.. people need to have things packed and ready to go if needed.

    The environmental restrictions do NOT allow the trimming/removal thats necessary. Its been a nightmare for the power company or for anyone wanting to do any common sense defensive work to help guard against possible future issues. California is abnormal in every arena thus the ongoing highly warranted recall of Newsom. The state is a disaster; morally and otherwise.

    • @RAsphalt
      @RAsphalt Před 4 lety

      Uh... LA County REQUIRES that people trim and remove excess brush around their homes and not doing so results in massive fines. Get a life. You may not realize Republican talking points
      don’t stop flying embers and Santa Ana winds. Life just sucks sometimes.

    • @DanKoning777
      @DanKoning777 Před 4 lety +2

      Duhhh, unfortunately, Im not referring to the trimming around homes which you're intent on talking about. I'm talking about the needed removal of trees/brush in/around power lines that start these fires to begin with.

    • @RAsphalt
      @RAsphalt Před 4 lety +1

      CA also requires at least 4’ clearance from power lines of any foliage/vegetation. Not always easy to enforce in such a populated mountainous state. Perhaps it should be more Than 4’ but we have to find a better solution here than cutting as far away from power lines as tree limbs fly during these hot and dry-as-hell cat 1 hurricanes we get here in the fall, or we’d have no trees at all. CA/PGE are working on it, and Gavin Newsom is pressuring them hard. The winds have gotten drier and stronger and more frequent over the last decade. If it’s climate change, I don’t know, all I know is it wasn’t this bad before. Unless you are talking about “raking the forest“, then just go away or move away and let us deal. Really the CA bashing is sooo tired.

    It's strange that this fire is in so many different areas of the town . The other one is how the hell did this fire get started as well as the other one in Sonoma county ? Wasn't there supposed to be a power shut down to prevent these fires ? Some one in California please let me know what happened .

      Winds look like 20-40mph at least; can blow embers for miles ahead of the ground fire. Random spots that catch the embers and begin new firesl.

    • @scottnow1796
      @scottnow1796 Před 3 lety +1

      Not as many as there should be, because insurance companies have been dropping the homeowners BEFORE the fires, saying the risk is too great. How is that legal? So now your house burns, everything is lost through no fault of your own, and you are left with no house, no memories, and no money to start over with. This is definitely unfair, but the Commiefornia legislature permits the practice. Not cool - Move out, and vote Republican!

      Hi, i am not English navtive speaker either, but i watch the fires because i have relatives there..... "Tick" is the area name.... They give name to the fire, from the area the fire started.... :)
      It helps to open google maps, and search for the areas they say, so you can understand where the fires are :)
