    I fixed one of these for a friend. It was owned since 2006, still worked and was in pretty good shape for 17 years of use. Very impressive!

      That’s brilliant!! I’m starting to like the DC18 more now! I think the changeover valve breaks when there’s a blockage inside the U bend and when reclined, it gets stuck and snaps the plastic, but I can see them lasting a long time for sure, they’re nice machines to use!

      That part still worked. They must have taken good care of it.

    Oh, that looks really nice next to the BP03. Those are really reliable. Surprised it's only an 80w brush bar motor. Dyson needs a slim vacuum like that in the US. We only have the UP30 which people complain about the weight. Having a slim Dyson and that's not made out of cheap plastic that breaks like the UP19 would probably be a hit.

      Thanks! I agree, there needs to be a lightweight upright too, they have a lot of potential for being vacuums that are powerful and easy to carry around
      The DC03 was a great design as well, just a shame it lacked a powerful motor
