Id turn down the wire speed a bit, way less spatter and you'd have a beautifully contoured weld
chucky, what wire are you running in this? can I use normal E71t-11 with this process or is there a specifically designed wire I should be selecting?
Dude! I thought you disappeared from the internet!
Facts
What do you mean by ‘wagon tracks’?
Great video thanks for the information taking my horizontal test this week
Early on you said to pull the weld, not push as pushing can put you into the slag cap. At 26:00 you push doing a vertical weld. Why do you go from the bottom up on a vertical weld?
With fluxcore or stick you have to go vertical up for strength and to mitigate or eliminate slag inclusion
The contact tip appears to be just below flush and inside the nozzle. Is this correct? Is there a time when you would have the contact tip sticking out of the nozzle at all?
Thank you
The tip should be sticking out of the nozzle just a hair, but it doesn’t hurt if it isn’t.
@@jahsano1506 How would you adjust that? On a miller gun, I dont see how anything can be adjusted in or out with either the tip or the nozzle unless you didnt screw the tip in all the way or perhaps not push nozzle in. But would that be the right way to adjust?
@@jahsano1506absolutely not my man, ¹/⁸ under the mouth of your nozzle, very least flush. You'll melt tips like that and clog em up faster. It also forces you to hold your nozzle further back increasing chances of poor gas coverage
What are your settings for vertical up on .035?
I think he said 123
I have a problem with my dual shield where the wire suddenly punches through the weld, digging in and leaving a pit Ive had several times where everything is going fine a few beds in and then suddenly I come back at it again nad this time, it just smashes through and doesnt make a good bead, ruins shit, or makes me grind it out, any idea whats happening? I mean im sure its getting hooter and so its easier to melt it too fast, but i dont see alot of other welders having this problem and its not mentioned too much, any suggestions?
Just let it cool down a little longer maybe 10 min after you do a few passes every time
slight upward gun angle with a small weave. your puddle is getting too hot by either slow travel or excessive heat
Distance and speed. Build you puddle and drive it home 🏡
HOT DAMN !!!
3g position correct how much current and voltage pls tell me bro pls bro
For the D1.1 3G test run the volts at 19.5 and wire speed 145-150 so you can easily control it
How do you remove the backing plate?
You don’t
Why dont you fill the full plate up
First!
What the fuck is that at 18:23 🤣🤣 you’re an instructor?? Sheesh i should get a job there then if that looks good
Right. I didn't want to chime in until now. I drop dimes. This shit is funny to me. Wish I could post my pics from my 8 columns I burned in the other day
Good luck passing with those welds in Canada!
The toe is not laying good and most will fail the jelly roll. Bro
To much bla bla bla
Cowboys from hell. Not psi
Try dualshield vertical with straight co2 not that mixed garbage guys get good with co2 because most likely thats whats gonna be used for cost reduction along with way better penetration and better properties mixed gas makes welds harder
