- The Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore collapsed following a collision with a ship, occurring at around 1:30 AM (GMT). The impact ignited a fire and led to the sinking of the vessel. Seven vehicles plunged into the water as a result of the collision. Authorities fear that approximately 20 individuals may be in the water following the bridge collapse, prompting them to term the incident as a 'developing mass casualty event'.
