@@EastWood2004 I disagree with the dealer. My wife owns one and she gets compliments everywhere she goes, literally. I have driven her Kyalami green and I get compliments every time and I see people taking pictures and videos on the traffic lights. On the car meets it is a total magnet, people taking pictures from every angle. I had a 8v RS3 glacier white and never got much attention.

Family reviews of performance cars are awesome for guys like me who dream of shoehorning their entire family into an M2. It really is great insight.
So refreshing to see the family review a not-so-friendly powerhouse. I was gripping at the edge of my seat wondering if you're really gonna push it - The smile on your face shows how important it is that you do indeed review the M2. You're killin' it!
WOW!!! I thought there was something wrong with your recording. That hum would drive me absolutely bonkers! And to think it's in an expensive new "high end" car to boot. But it is in a fun retro-70's color!
That hum isn't on every new RS3 thank goodness as I have one with the ceramic brakes, as he said it must have been driven hard by someone previously or is a problem specific to that car.

The armrest is a ratchet style to be placed in any height. Pulling up all the way resets it. It’s nice to have the option to set the height.
Family Reviews are where its at. I will just have to make a carseat in the back work. LOL. Dream car

That 5-cylinder sound is special and unfortunately, not long for this world; It's too bad we don't get the hatch version in North America (and new RS3 at all in Canada actually). Some of my best motoring experiences was cruising in my N55 M2 alongside/with my friend's RS3. I love how the OG M2 sounds, but that 2.5T 5-cylinder was pure music.
I agree with you, the small sedan form factor is quite limited for a family, and almost necessitates a roof-box if it's your only vehicle.
Great review Micah and family! I hope you can review the car I cross-shopped this with, the BMW M240i. I ultimately chose that car despite it having fewer doors and me having older kids (they fit fine....lol).

Seems like the perfect car. Small enough for the city, decent boot size, physical HVAC buttons, integrated non-tablet screen, will keep its value because of being a 5cyl. Should just buy one ugh
The deterring factor for me is the price. It’s way to much money for the size of the car and features. I’m also worried about reliability since in this car there is that humming sound and the center armrest is broken. And this is a brand new car!

As an owner of a 2022 BMW G80 M3 Competition XDrive(Skyscraper Grey w Carbon exterior+interior packages), I feel its the greatest high performance daily driver ever manufactured in the history of automobiles. Highly recommend you guys to review on your channel... You may buy one quickly afterwards.. haha
Such a cool car! Just wish the front and rear were a little more subtle like the last gen car. The RS torque splitter sounds amazing.

I love the RS cars, but would never consider them as "family" cars, unless you are a family of one or two. Although, I have the A5 coupe, and it's similarly as family friendly. Love the review, can never see too many Audi reviews!. Special mention to Evie and the Awesome portrait photo in the Flying Eyes promo. She might have a modeling career in the future! You guys da best!!

It's a very nice car, but that $60k-$75k range is loaded with cars. Unless you are a die hard Audi fan, there is some serious competition.

The RS3 is amazingly plain looking like most Audi's, and that is just fine. The 5-cylinder engine is the highlight. I wouldn't mind having fun with one for a few years, but it doesn't strike me as a keeper.
Why isnt it available in Canada? Will it be for 2024???

What a monster of a car, that engine! Why not bring the RS3 hatch to the US? We do not all want Q3s :/. Tbh, prefer the Golf R since it gets the same trick rear diff, plenty of performance, and the latest rumor is that they are getting rid of the haptic wheels on the steering wheel. Ooooo but that 5 cylinder engine, so nice...especially without the brake drone.
The only thing I don't like about the car is just to small is what have me debating from this to the RS5 Sportback or the RS7

I have the RS3 and I wouldn't. The carbon spoiler is a little bigger, but it is a lot of money. You can buy aftermarket if needed. It's mainly a difference in looks. Honestly, the car is great with no options. The tech pack is good if you want the HUD and sound system. Then just add the visual options you want. I would advise against the carbon ceramic brakes.

I really like that car and that color, and would have loved it in my 20's or 30's! However at almost 54 years old, it's just not my style anymore. I'm much more into something that looks normal and luxurious and surprises with it's performance, like maybe something with "Blackwing" in it's name. 😎

@@weirdshibainu A nice dream, but at twice the starting price of an RS3, not for me. I'm actually very interested in the S5 Sportback, but have to decide if I can justify ~$60k for a car that I would drive about 20 miles a day.

I really appreciate the concern! There's a broad spectrum of approaches to risk management among different people. Based on a healthy background of professional driver training and high-performance driving experience, I'm more comfortable than some driving in a spirited fashion...assuming the conditions and environment allow. That said, I have zero interest pushing the bounds of safety or the law. My kiddo loves driving quickly and I'm happy to share those experiences, but the safety of my family and other motorists comes first. Cheers!

It's not loud in comfort with the valves closed and it's super comfortable with adaptive dampers, perfect family car, You've not driven one I take it.
