- A huge Avatar Studios update just leaked, and Bryke is back in a big way! Here are my thoughts about the two new animated Avatar movies currently in development.
This bit of Avatar news includes info about the new Avatar Studios movies. One is an Avatar prequel film, and the other is an animated Zuko movie! The prequel might be a movie about Kyoshi or a different past Avatar, while the Zuko story could be a movie featuring Azula's redemption arc.

UPDATE! The movie will now be about Avatar Aang, and it's *confirmed* that it will take place when they are all young adults! More about it here -> czcams.com/video/QyU9gQWN6_8/video.html
Okay, but real talk: a story about the 2nd Avatar would be pretty cool. No one, not even Wan it seemed, expected the Avatar to reincarnate. The 2nd Avatar would have been just as instrumental at setting up the precedent that the Avatar is always a force for good.
The 2nd Avatar would be an air nomad boy/girl who would have to deal with new nations discovering and fighting each other.
@@controlman7490 yep they would definitely reinforce that precedent of the Avatars purpose.
100% agreed. That would be sick as hell and I want it
@@controlman7490 they would probably make them a girl, since we already have Aang.
I always wanted a story that tells about the 4 first avatars of the cycle that would establish everything that came to be about the Avatars purpose and the 4 nations, so absolutely sign me up for this
Unpopular opinion but I would personally love to see Iroh's journey from a arrogant general to a humble and wise tea lover. How he found the last dragons, joined the white Lotus and battled other members before becoming good. Maybe that could explain why he saw himself in Zuko. Struggling through the loss of his son. Travelling all four nations learning new things and forming his own technique of redirecting lighting. Maybe show that how he needed that to defeat a very powerful someone and how he became known as the dragon of the west.
Plus: His old teammates the rhinos (I don't remember the name exactly).
Edit:- I was saying that unpopular to the opinion of making an series or movie on Iroh as I haven't seen any similar comment and I was not talking about the character
Rather see a Iroh movie and not Zuko.
@@eon001 Yes like there's so much they hinted about Iroh but no flashback scenes.
I want to see Iroh in his prime doing some amazing battle.
@@mooneater7962 that dragon era sounds so cool too. 🐲🐉🔥🔥
Sounds amazing, especially if voice acted by Mako *runs away to sob in a corner*
Ooomg, yes. Would love that character development. It would get terribly sad, but still amazing.
I just want 2 things: 1. For the hype not to die down by the time it's released and 2. For nobody to have unrealistic expectations for this. It's probably not going to be as good as the original but that's okay
I feel like there is absolutely no chance the hype will die down. It's been nearly 15 years the since the og series ended and its still so well loved! The second point is gonna be tough I'll give you that lol
I hope it's different than the original. Making stories about young adults, (20s-30s), or even more mature adults in their 40s, with young kids, would be the way to go for me. If they do another show about a kid or teen avatar, well of course everybody will try to compare it to ATLA, but if they decide to cater to their original audience which has aged 15 years, and produce more mature content, it will have a change of style that will make it harder to compare and easier for it to stand on its own.
I personally would love to see content about the Gaang in their 20s/30s. It's not exactly the most original idea, but it just seems like a lot of fun. Maybe getting the characters to branch out a bit, like Toph and her metal bending academy and how the whole police force started, etc. Adventures as individuals and as a group would be a nice mix I think.
I kinda wish we didn't have Korra. Imagine getting content about the Gaang in their young adulthood WITHOUT knowing who will end up with who, what kids they will have, how long they'll live. Korra strips away too much dramatic tension from adult Gaang content now :'( I do love Korra as a character, but the series was not the best idea IMO.
Exactly, I want to see how they mature and build the world and their families.
@@inspiteofshame TOTALLY agree with you. I also thing they should’ve left the avatar show on a friendship note just in general cuz ending it with a kiss was kind of odd imo but idk others can disagree.
I also wanna find out who tophs boyfriend or husband was
@@theway6763 I don't know how it was odd. Aang x Katara relationship was in the entire show. Not just the end. It his hinted at more than a few times in all three books. Yes this was a 'child's' show, but most people were in 5th grade or older which is when relationships start picking up. Their relationship was one of the main side plots through the entire series. It was literally the reason he gave up the Avatar State to save Katara and couldn't let her go. They even kissed in the cave. It was never just 'friendship' between the two.
The Zuko movie is what I'm looking for the most, as they became adults, you may never know what's going on. It could be how Republic City was under construction, Zuko's life as a husband and then a father to Princess Izumi, lots can be explored. Azula wise? Maybe...
tru but I wonder if its gonna be animated or live action dear god I hope its aninated
@Avatar Fan Girl ayoooo
@@user-do5jz4uf5e If it's anything UNLIKE the last airbender movie, I'd be okay with another live-action tbh. I wanna see a live-action Avatar that isn't bull shit lmao
@@user-do5jz4uf5e I'm tired, of "live-action", adaptations. (😊🔫)
Yesssss we STANNN Zuko
It’s safe to say that the Zuko movie is most likely going to be of him during his adult years . But I think a mini series based on his time before aang woke up would be really interesting, like a mini series based on him traveling the world just after his banishment
I would freaking love that!
OMG YES
Nah early zukko wouldn't have enough character development vs last air bender zukko
@@bigsmilie07 yeh thats very true , it would be fun but because there wouldn’t be much character development or much of an end goal I can’t imagine it being made
i personally wouldn't want that BUT i bet it would still be really good if they did it!
I hope that the movie about Zuko has a scene of Zuko reuniting Lee with his older brother Sensu after Zuko freed all the imprisoned prisoners from the war!
AWW I WOULD LOVE THAT
@@cabbageman2184 same
Lee's the kid from "Zuko Alone" right? The one that [ahem] "no, I hate you"?
Yeah, he and his family will be happy to get their family member back but idk if they're gonna be grateful to the Fire Nation guy?
@@reptiliannoizezz.413 Well zuko helped fight against the firelord
@@reptiliannoizezz.413 Indeed exactly from that episode, and I imagine they would! :D
Stories I want to see is are:
- Fire Nation firebender defector during the hundred year war who helps the air nomads seeking refuge.
- An older Sokka travelling the world on secret quests. He still finds time to practice his painting and haiku.
- Guru Pathik gathers a group of masters at the Eastern Temple to train the next Avatar. They waited years but the Avatar never came. Suddenly they were under siege by a Fire Nation army strengthen by a blazing comet overhead.
Dude I was thinking the same thing about the Fire Nation defector, but slight different. From another comment of mine: "I know in the comics there's a story about fire nation colonists who have a new kind of life with earth kingdom citizens. I kind of want a story that follows a fire nation soldier who defected after seeing his battalion used as fodder and settled down with a nice Earth kingdom girl without telling anyone he's Fire nation. The story could start when his child suddenly develops Fire bending and he's exposed, drawing attention from the army as a defector and being ran out by Earth kingdom loyalists."
@@SwordTune very dramatic and interesting. I like it.
@@SwordTune beautiful!!!
Bruh they have to make a movie about the air nomad genocide and make it R-rated. Genocide ain't censored irl there's blood, murder, rape, and torture that goes along with genocide. If they make that movie they have to show blood, people getting burned to death, people with bloody injuries, and yes even children getting killed. I'm not sure if Avatar would be up for something like that, but I personally think it's a good idea. ATLA and TLOK focused so much on that horrible event in the Avatar universe, so Brkye should take the opportunity and tell a somewhat realistic tale on what that day actually looked like. Also, the whole movie doesn't have to be just the genocide. They could show the murders in like any part of the story, but they could also introduce new characters like a few air nomads that escaped or they could show what everyone has been asking for, which is to see how Monk Gyatso killed those fire nation soldiers in that room.
@Asmodeus Guy I don't agree with that, but you're entitled to your opinion.
All I want is more stories from the Gaang as adults
And the story of Yangchen! I really want to know more about the Air Nomads, their culture is so unexplored and fascinating!
There are a few novels based on yangchen coming on
Me too. I want the original Gaang back, but in adulthood. But no more Korra. She was a lousy avatar.
@Hidden History I agree. Not to mention that she broke the Avatar cycle too.
I think seeing Iroh invading ba sing se would be HEART WRENCHING. Showing us the darkest side of the man we’ve all come to love and admire over the years
I really wanted a Red Lotus Origin story with Zaheers squad. Seeing him fight benders as a non bender wouldve been 🔥.
That would be so dope I didn’t even think of that
What's even more interesting is that he doesn't fight like a chi blocker. As a tactician and strategist he probably set up traps, and then just went raw fisticuffs when needed. Imagine being able to create fire or move rivers, but you get fisted to death by a normal dude.
Omg I’d love that
Yesssss I was just talking about this with someone last night!
@@weirdiweirdo5508 I know you're not replying to me, but I'd like to point out that the comments now read "you get fisted to death by a normal dude" followed by your comment of "omg I'd love that."
I would like a Kyoshi movie. She's a interesting avatar and deserves to have a movie about her life
And we ALWAYS need more Jennifer Hale 😍
It'll be full of murder
No more gay Avatar... Had enough
Kyoshi seems fine enough, but she's just kinda uninteresting to me. I'd rather have a series adapting the comics or like some others said, the gaang in their adult years/20's to 30's.
I like the idea of exploring both Kyoshi and Kuruk, to an extend especially Kuruk which can for sure come out as a very complex, interesting character touching on something that is not all that commonly seen as a concepts in media.
Personally i never liked Aang, i am also not a big fan of Korra although i do prefer her over him and so I am really excited for the potential exploration of another avatar. If they add more of people like Azula or Zaheer - even better.
Honestly, as much as I would love a Kyoshi prequel movie; I’d also love a prequel that’s set in the years before Aang is released from the ice. Maybe focusing on a character for characters that didn’t get much screen time in the show. My top pick for this would be Sokka and Katara’s father. I think a story like that exploring a nonbender widower on an ultimately futile quest for revenge would make for an amazing story.
Hardly interesting honestly. There are no benders in Hakoda's crew, and we already know that they didn't have any significant impact on the resolution of the war.
I think this would be interesting but I think I’d rather see an entirely new character, then Sokka and Katara’s dad. I’d like to see the beginnings of the war, the escalation, the loss of hope as people realize the avatar isn’t coming, and the characters persevering despite that. Maybe have the main character be someone from the Earth kingdom, so we can see the other side of the siege of Ba Sing Se. It might be a little like rouge one (in the sense the main characters will probably die), but would make sense for a prequel movie.
I know in the comics there's a story about fire nation colonists who have a new kind of life with earth kingdom citizens. I kind of want a story that follows a fire nation soldier who defected after seeing his battalion used as fodder and settled down with a nice Earth kingdom girl without telling anyone he's Fire nation. The story could start when his child suddenly develops Fire bending and he's exposed, drawing attention from the army as a defector and being ran out by Earth kingdom loyalists.
Would love to see Iroh's story
If we are going to go with a prequel set while Aang is in the ice, I think it would be cool to watch one that followed young Bumi from the beginning of the war and his shocked reactions to the genocide of his best friend's people (and for all he knew, Aang's death too) and having him worked hard early on for the defense of Omashu, to the point it shows his rise to power as king while he was younger and less focused on neutral gin mentality. Maybe while growing popular in the Omashu army, the city's dynasty fell in a big battle with the Fire Nation and Bumi was chosen to step up to fill in the power vacuum after coming up with a plan that turned back the tide. After all, he WAS a mad genius.
prequel-wise: I've always wanted to see Firelord Sozin using the comet for the first time and how the he ended the Air Nomads. I've always thought if there was a Book 4: Air that it would be a prequel season and the season finale would be Firelord Sozin and his army waging war on the Air Nomads at each of their temple locations and them doing everything they could to defend themselves. Would be epic seeing all those airbending masters joining/fighting together as it would showcase to us fans what Airbenders are truly capable of. We could also see how the 100yr old war got started and see how Sozin began setting things in motion once he knew he didn't have an Avatar to worry about.
Same
I think it would be too brutal for a kid's show
So excited for the future of Avatar so long as greedy corporate hands stay off it. That said, these are what I want the most!
1. The Epic of Iroh ( the story of Iroh's life and how he became the old man we love)
2. Adaptation of The Search and The Promise.
3. Kyoshi movie or series.
4. An evil avatar. (Not like in Korra, I mean like an avatar manipulated to think they're doing good but is actually evil. Think Superman Red Son)
5. A spirit world story (I think Avatar Korruk would be a great opportunity to explore the spirit world in depth and have a story almost entirely in it.)
6. Avatar set in modern day/future (A world where technology is so advanced bending is obsolete. What is the role of the Avatar in a world where bending is no longer strong enough to keep the world balanced?)
7. Twin Avatars (Maybe one has bending and the other has access to the spirit world and avatar state)
8. Expanded universe ( focus on stories not centered on the avatar)
9. Slice of life/romance Avatar story
10. Lost bending form (I dont know what it would be, but the idea of a fifth bending form would be interesting. Maybe energy bending like we saw in the finale of TLA, only concern is that turning into DBZ style power beams)
I like these ideas, especially the Spirit World story with Avatar Kuruk!
I think it would be a great way to revisit the ethereal, mystical-type Spirit World we saw in ATLA that was full of monsters and defied physics. The Spirit World in Korra and Wan's stories were fine, but having Kuruk deal with a Spirit World completely that'd been left completely unchecked after Yangchen's Era would be very cool!
@@BabyLionTurtle I agree completely. In Rise of Kyoshi they state that Kuruk dies young, in a time that was mostly peaceful at that. It'd be cool if his extended time in the spirit world shortened his life span since time works differently there.
If there's an evil avatar, it should be from Vaatu the dark spirit. I don't think it's possible for Raava, light spirit who fusing herself with an avatar, just let them go rogue with her power
My idea covers some of your suggestions what do you think about it?...
When searching for his mother zuko learns from ancient scrolls and some spirits about a hidden cave somewhere between the human realm and the spirit realm full with thousands of unhatched dragon eggs that were hidden by dragon worshipping fire sages descendants of the last sun warriors in that region those individuals would collect hide and protect dragon eggs over a long period of time however when the fire lord sozin learnt about those "heretics" he hunted them and the dragons down to show his power starting the trend of dragon hunting .
A couple of them escaped to the spirit realm and became spirits themselves sadly the ones that remained in the human realm died taking the secrets of the eggs and the cave with them.
since the fire nation hunted them down and zuko wants to restore the honor of the fire nation
he goes on a mission to find that cave together with his uncle and toph( finally getting her adventure with zuko) to find the eggs and bring them to the sun warriors so they can repopulate the world with dragons once again...
The sun warrior territory becomes a dragon sanctuary.
I love to see an anthology show where each mini seasons/episode tell story about different avatars
Sad that we had to wait so many years for just announcements 😭
Same like FR😭😭
@@jayjaybulldog9180 It is tough, but remember that unlike ever before, now we have mulitple projects on the horizon.
@@BabyLionTurtle I'm just glad that they're back on track 😊😊
@@BabyLionTurtle I could care less I’m just happy it’s coming it might get cancelled
As a huge fan of the franchise, I would absolutely love to see the continuation of my beloved characters story’s on the big screen and Spin-off sequel . Just like how they brought Arnold back to find his lost parents, the same thing should happen to zuko by finding out the truth about his.
If they do a Zuko movie featuring the gang at their prime, I can bet that it would be one of the, if not the most successful shows of the decade.
I don't think there's any movie/show I've seen or will see in the next couple of years that will get me as excited as that. It's what I've wanted from TV since I watched ATLA when I was little!
You should check out Arcane. Probably the best animated show since ATLA.
That is what we all have been waiting for 😆
I would love if they expanded the universe. Kind of like Star Wars as in a quick season or even an episode for every character. A few episodes of sokka and kataras dad going out after his wife was killed and letting out the rage. An episode on azulas tragedy after her loss to zuko. Stuff like that or if they animated the novels would be awesome too
🔥
Seeing Kyoshi, Rangi, and The Flying Opera Company on the big screen would be a dream come true
Zuko is literally one of my fav character ever I am so excited AS FUCK for this

🦋🔥To sum up, original ATLA creators are creating their own animation studio - Avatar Studios - and producing:
- Prequel movie to ATLA, sometime before Aang was in ice, highly likely to be based on Avatar Kyoshi
- Sequel movie set after ATLA events, confirmed to be about Zuko
- An new animated series based Avatar/ATLA, not a lot of info about it
You‘re welcome 😊
it would be cool if they have a new Avatar team for the series
I would be satisfied movie/mini series focused on the very first avatar
In *one sentence* describe your dream idea for the Zuko movie. GO!!
I would love it if they Explored on zuko and azula because we didnt get to see what happened to azula. So i think that the main characters should be zuko and azula and we will follow them through their tragedy their rise and downfall.
"Where is my mother?"
That's it, that's my sentence.
Being irritated at having mom and Zuzu constantly nagging me to babysit Kiyi. It'd be a mirror of what I'm going through at the moment with my brother's kids.
Zuko as fire lord adventures
Zuko and azula searching for their mother! I know it happens in the comics buuuuuut i also want to watch it on the big screen
As much as i would LOVE a Kyoshi themed movie, i think i would really want a new Avatar that we've never seen before. New lore in the Avatar universe that ties things together is my dream.
Second after Wan
A cycle focused on a Earth Avatar. Earth is so neglected.
@@asew4897 agreed!
@@asew4897 how about sand?
@@silverstrike5904 So longs as it’s Earth. Though I think traditional Earth bending is too often dismissed.
I’d love to see stuff about past Avatars. Not just ones we’ve seen in the previously but ones we don’t know about yet. Like the early avatars after Wan, or even finding out who the hell avatar Salai is (an avatar that Kuruk talks as if they were one of the most renowned avatars like Yangchen at the time)
I’ve got to admit I will probably cry and be very emotional when I finally see a new avatar project. Avatar as a whole has helped me so much in my life, I’ve loved it so wholeheartedly since I was a little girl. I’m 23 in a month and I will still be watching when I’m old. An Azula redemption arc would be sooooo satisfying. As a kid watching the show her end seemed so justified. But then rewatching in my 20s, especially after the beach episode (which I hated as a kid), made me feel so bad for her in the end. She was crazy but how much of that was her fault? I would love to see her return from madness as someone adjusted
Tbh Azula is my favorite, everytime she's on screen im just giddy, but her end for me was just not right. So yeah, i would LOVE to see more from Azula. And btw, that beach episode is my favorite!!
@@marvertjaysonneyra457 exactly, and I love the beach episode now to!
I would really love to see it because Azula is just one of my most favorite Villian.. I mean she's a cool psychopath
Azula is my favorite character, but I don’t want a redemption arc. I think the fact she isn’t redeemed is a core part of her story. I would just like to see her healing in a low key way. Not every survivor needs a heroic turn around
@@madisonsiciliano4439 There is a fanfic called years after hundred year war on Avatar wiki. Check it out. Azula is handled the way you described. At the end Azula takes off to for adventure. Never seen again😉
My first thought about a Zuko movie was that they would explore him finding his mom, but briefly, to sum up the story in animation, then focus on the rest past that? I mean, Ig all the old fans are already very familiar with the story, but I'd like to see it animated even if it's a 10-15 minute arc at the beginning. Either way idgaf I need this
But he found his mom in the comics
@@schmeterling "to sum up the story in animation". I know, I would just like to see it animated :)
Potential movie titles or mini series
Banished - about zuko pre-aang
Southern Raiders - activity of fire nation fleet
The Order or Lotus about the red lotus and white lotus ideologies and origin of zaheers crew
Yang Chen- about yang chen
Kuruk - adventurous, about the avatar
I'd love to see an unique story about 2 avatars in the same time , maybe both are good but having different ways dealing with things .. that would be so exciting to watch
They shouldn make a series about the first avatar, a more detailed version of sokka and katara, and zuko's past, what happened to azula after the last air bender era, there's just so many, I'm so excited
I need the "the legend of Kyoshi" series/movie. Remake TLA and live action is unnecessary.

The ending music was always my favorite in the Avatar series! When Aang and his friends went to the Fire Nation disguised and threw a party there.
Forget redeeming Azula. I'd rather Auntie show up to tempt Zuko's kids down the path of psychopathic violence
aHahaha
Well by Korras time, it clear she failed. Lol
A story about the original avatar team as adults would be really cool. Kinda like what Alien Force was to the original Ben 10
Finally, the objectively best character in the entire series gets the center stage. As he rightly deserves. Let's go Zuko!
Right idk why ppl complaining lol the writers listened and responded
Tbh, given that we know a lot about Roku and Kyoshi, I’d really like to hear a story about Kuruk.
After all, he supposedly did the most dangerous jobs of any Avatar, as he mainly dealt with dark spirits all while trying to be the Avatar. And he defeated many spirits within the Spirit World without any bending at all.
It’d be really nice to see him, especially since he was so unappreciated by the world and even by the fandom.
I hope they include Aaron Ehasz in the production. Some of the best episodes are Aaron's works.
It would make very happy if they were to put it in Netflix as well.
I want that azula redemption arch movie
There are several things I hope to see in this Zuko show, him becoming more fatherly to Azula and wanting to patch things up after smoke and shadow, he temporarily resigns as fire lord in search for Azula. Zuko could ask for Aang's help to track her down and does so the same way he did when trying to find Appa in the swamp, this, however, leaves a side effect, Aang and Azula now share a spiritual bond which allows them to understand each other best and grow closest to each other out of all others due to Azula being a descendant of Aang's past life Roku, and then later Azula and Aang have an intense chakra cleansing session together which adds strength to their already strong bond. I don't buy that Azula was able to orchestrate everything that goes on in smoke and shadow all by herself given her mental chaos in the search, someone else has to be pulling the strings from deeper in the shadows. given that Ozai is the only one to have an affect on her, is the only one she's fanatically loyal to, is the one who nearly tricked Zuko into restarting the war, her and Ozai speaking privately under Azula's request, and her whole plan is clearly Ozai themed despite him not being physically involved. It would make sense to me if Ozai's behind it all. As for the prequel, I hope to see a plot twist added in that Ozai was once Xai Bau and he founded the red lotus but before that, they explore Ozai's relationship with Iroh and actually get to know Lu Ten.
Wow!
I'm sorry but this isn't good. Azula and Aang having a spiritual connection?
@@micah459 ikr that sounds like a very cringe fanfiction
They really struck gold with this franchise I hope it remains as good as it always has been. I honestly really enjoyed Korra. While some things I wish they maybe did a little different overall it still is an amazing show and the music is top notch as usual. I still hope we get a show about when aang and his friends grown up
the best movies and the best shows are the ones that are focused on the character interactions and relationships with each other, and character development and the human psyche. That is what is so powerful about ATLA. I trust they will keep it that way, keep the charm and keep the power of it all!! im so fricken excited. All i want to see is the main gang, i love all the other characters of course but the main gang is home. and thats all i want :) i wanna feel at home again. Especially with the fact that as we get older into adulthood we are made to feel obsolete and have to work to show our validity in fckd up "capitalism". Oh how comforting and amazing it would be to see the kids i grew up with be adults like me now AAAAHHHHHHHH :D
Exactly, i want the same thing. Just seeing them as adults in their prime. Going through adult obstacles. Just the main gang.
Same
Well said (:
Dude the creators of the legend of genji should work in Avatar studios, it just makes too much sense
I would guess that Bryke is avoiding any interaction with Genji. They don't want to accidentally be influenced and "steal" ideas. I know that's the stance of a lot of writers at least.
Like Genji's great, but it's success has probably ensured that we won't see a sandbending Avatar in canon.
@@BabyLionTurtle why not merge them with Avatar studios though? They have proven their potential to be capable of constructing a sequel to an extent and maintaining it. So it makes sense for them to work together.
I thought the same.
They're not even part of the studio?! Then why would it matter anyone can make an avatar story
Hope we get the Promise and the Search as movies, the search especially is a very emotional "Good Ol' Avatar: Cry a lot" kinda story
the firelord zuko one is going to be so interesting. i mean zuko had to and somehow did turn the fire nation from ww1 and 2 version Germany into modern day Germany, while helping in the founding, construction, and development of a city similar in nature to new York, yet with the political standing of a city like dubie (it is the country prity much) all before he dies. also before he can even do that dude has to do the whole the serch event. hes a busy man, a man so busy infact that this would need multiple films or just alot of seasons to do. zuko had a vary active life
while the avatar prequel would most likly be avatar kioshi, or wan. where rather getting an adaption of the books with kioshi, or were getting the true prequel/origins that will help fill in alot of the blanks we still have for wan and his time period
All I want is an ATLA season 4! Mostly following Zuko searching for his mom and what happens to Azula.
I think the Zuko's movie will be around Zuko and Azula's relationship. In the comic, her fate is still isn't resolved.
I’ve said years before I want to see an Azula redemption story. Then next thing I would like to see that’s more adult theme that would be apart of a story and show the complexity of the characters is an affair that Zuko and Katara had with each other. During the original show we all saw the potential of them getting together. In a lot of ways it made more sense for them to get together. Being on opposite sides in battle and in the elements they controlled. Them dealing with the aftermath of that along with whatever is going on would be really interesting.
Literally crying right now I'm so exciteddddd 😭😭
Seeing the gang as adults would be awesome.
OMG a red lotus origin story where the climax is then kidnapping korra
no this is finally the OG time to shine bruh...
what about the white lotus?
dude I have been on google looking like every other week!!!! I'm so pumped!!!
I'd love to see a Zuko centred story about the first time they took down the Red Lotus, but for the prequel movie, I'd be happy with anything we get that expands upon avatars before Aang
Why would there be 2 movies about Ba Sing Se? We all know (in my Joo Dee voice) "there is no war in Ba Sing Se". 😁 Hopefully the new arch will be about Team Avatar as older teens/young adults, right after the end of the original series. If not, then most of us older fans will be kind of pissed, because that's pretty much what most of us have been waiting for. As far the previous avatars, I think most of us want to see a full Kyoshi story. And now that Korra "came out", I think there'd be less push-back about Kyoshi's bisexuality being displayed. Kuruk would be my 2nd choice, but mainly only to see his story w/ Koh: The Face Stealer.
I just want a show of aang and the gang in their 20's because they would be in their prime how cool would it be to see everyone at peak strength especially aang he would be so powerful
I'm very much looking forward to all of this
i would LOVE to watch a mini episode about air nomads life before ag and also about life of fire nation after the end of the war (or in the korra timeline)
IM SO EXITED ABOUT EVERYTHING!!! tbh i will love every piece of work avatar studios will give us.
I’ve always wanted a Sokka feature movie especially, as an adult. He has the most untapped potential in terms of how he matured and rose to the level he did by the time of flashbacks in LoK
And we need closure concerning Suki
I always wanted to know if he and Suki got married and had kids or not.
I'm more interested in the near future: the timelines roughly correspond to technological developments IRL, with Korra being in her 20s in the equivalent of the 1920s. Which puts the moon landings firmly within her lifespan. Probably. On the one hand, no cold war fueling the space race, but on the other, religion might actively push for it once they realize it's possible. Or fight against it, possibly. Depends on if Korra's lifespan is in line with Kyoshi's, or Aang's; on the one hand, not Earth nation, on another is an avatar, on the 3rd hand did the whole harmonic convergence thing burn off the longevity energy like Aang's Big Nap did, or redouble it?
Best news I've heard in a long time. Can't wait to see the new content
Im shook, about to cry and genuinely happy😭😭💖💖
As much as I'd love to see more to this amazing franchise, I believe that the original show was a lightning in a bottle, and any attempt to recreate it will fail. I'd rather have them try doing something new, like Dragon Prince, which while not as good as the last airbender definitely was a lot better than Korra.
True, the original show also had an amazing writing team to rein in a lot of whacky world-building and narrative ideas the creators had. Looking at LoK, there were a lot of interesting ideas in LoK that were just executed in such a strange way. Dark and Light avatars are cool, but a giant Kaiju battle is dumb in the context of the show. Industrialization and spiritual wmds are interesting, but a giant platinum mech is a really strange way to go about it.
Yeah, this smells like a cash grab for me.
They just need to make new series with new avatars 🙏
Just found your channel and instantly subscribed, keep up the great work!
Thanks so much :D
damn.. you've got me all hyped now.
I would love to see a Zuko move foucusing on his search for his uncle in the spirit world -who he -*-clearly-*- thought was dead when avatar Kora mentions meeting him- and switching in between the present and past showing what happened to his uncle, why he didn't know he was 'alive', and general backstory of Zuko who I imagine would be in his prime when his uncle went to the spirit world.
PLEASE GIVE AZULA A REDEMPTION ARC 😭
I think she will get one. Recently released Avatar cookbook written in universe and set sometime after imbalance has an entry from Azula. Azula seems to be on good terms with Mai, and on good enough terms with team Avatar. So looks like she did hlget better and reconciled with her family and team avatar.

@@AndalusianPhilosopher wait, where can i read this?
How about azula suicide?
Very anxious about this, as a bad continuation of Zuko's story could be extremely damaging to the original show.
What do you mean?
Not really. The comics had plenty of missteps but they haven’t damaged the show’s integrity, fans just choose to either embrace them or reject them (or just embrace or reject certain parts)
@@violetlavi2207 "or reject them"
Looking at you *_Aang agreeing to kill Zuko if he becomes a bad leader_* 😤
@@violetlavi2207 Yes, really. The comics aren't widely known, and it's different with the comics as they mainly tell pretty meaningless stories in the grand scheme of things. But just look at Game of Thrones and how people feel about its ending.
A new show can definitely hurt the legacy of the original, that's out of the question.
@@user-zs5tp9zi6n I mean that a show that isn't true to Zuko's character in the original show that also isn't very good on its own could alienate the fanbase, just look at what happened with Game of Thrones.
i never expected to get hyped about avatar at age 36, tho i loved the series and have most of the books this is the news the fanbase wanted for years.
All I want is a TV special for LOK
Just for Korrasami
Would love to see a redemption for Azula. Her father's influence caused her to take a path that led to her mentally break down. I don't know if she would be able to change, but with team avatar & uncle Iroh guiding her it could be done I think
I think she can be redeemed once she is away from her father’s influence. Zuko’s redemption began when he stopped seeing his father as a god and began to realize all the ways in which he had been mistreated and manipulated were not his fault.
I kinda want more set in the 100 years war era maybe in the vein of Star Wars TV shows where its from the perspectives of other interesting people in that universe.
One that shows the first coming of Sozins comet and the beginning of the war would be interesting... hopefully could also expand on the Earth Kingdom, since if its based on Interwar/WW2 China then it could also be about how the nations that make up the Earth Kingdom react to the war, deal with Ba Sing Se and also with Fire Nation collaborators.
The Clone Wars does hit different, ngl
Yes! I need the comics of them finding Zuko’s mom animated.
Azula redemption arc
Like what the heck 20years??😭😭😭😭 I'm 33 years old next 20 years=)
I'll be 54 in 20 years. I'm currently 34
@@godstenrules ow 😭
@@godstenrules Would you believe that there's 150% more 34 year olds on my channel than 13 yos?

I’ll be 44
Omg finally! Anyone else excited!?
I NEED me an Azula Redemption Arc, I NEED it so bad I can TASTE IT...!
I hope I live long enough to see another animated series
Honnestly... i'd just want to know how Aang died.
We assume that it was just old age, I guess those hundred years in the iceberg caught up with him
Aang died of natural causes at the age of sixty-six.
We already had a book about Zuko searching for his mother. Now we need to tie up the actual biggest loose thread of the show: we need a movie where Sokka searches for his space sword.
im glad they're making a zuko movie, I generally wanted to see more of him. I also really wanna see more Kyoshi stuff as she's probably one of tye best avatars.
I hope the producers see this so many good ideas
I so much want a movie (or even better, a series) of the Gaang in their prime years. I also really want a Azula redemption arc, because Azula was such a great character.
Korra was SUCH a disappointment imo. I would love to go back in the past and tell the life stories of the old Avatars
Omg yaasss!!! So ready!!! 😆🤩👏
About time. Loved this show. Hope they turn up.
imo having a story with a fully realized avatar would be somewhat boring and lacking in tension, due to the fact that they could just overpower their opponent very easily
Which could be why Zuko is the main character, not Aang.
It'd be pretty easy to have Aang doing prime Avatar stuff in a really cool opening sequence. Then they can write the overpowered character out of the plot, like with superman or captain marvel. Maybe after the opening, Aang's busy with a Spirit World crisis and isn't around in the physical world (where Zuko's plot is unfolding).
But not every conflict can be solved with the Avatar state.
But generally I agree, a story about a fully realized Avatar couldn't be just your run if the mill villain story. We know that not even bloodbending can do anything about the Avatar state, so there's really nothing equal in terms of raw power.
ty lee’s story/ancestral history would be great. i love the theory of her parent(s)?/grandparent(s)? being air nomads who happened to not be at a temple during the invasion(s) and hiding in the fire nation like the blood bending lady or being taken in by kind fire nation folk and then starting a family there that would later produce ty lee.
also there NEEDS to be a scene where at least one earth kingdom citizen is looking at zuko like, “wait, lee? from tHE TEA SHOP??!!?!”
Avatar Studios sounds like an amazing franchise investment
Hell yeah
Holy shit, you just gave me something to look forward to in my life. At least pushing back my depression for 5 years. Bless your soul.
love it can't wait to see it
FINALLY! Took us long enough to get here, but finally!!
When we needed them most, they returned.
a project focusing on kyoshi would be SO COOL ugh!! reading the books rn and they're so good. they would translate so well into animation aggghhhhh
