I’ve been playing this since 1995 😂 it’s still one of the all time greats
My brother and I spent so many hours playing this in the 80s. The music, the sound effects are super nostalgic ❤
This is very interesting too me and I'll tell you why. I started gaming back in 1986 with the Nes and Sega Master System. My divorced parents got along for me as a kid but man did they love competing with each other. My Nes was of the normal variety as it came with two controllers, gray zapper, and Mario/Duck Hunt multicart but my Master System was different from anyone I knew (my cousin and a few friends). You see, my father couldn't find the one that came with the Sega Phazer so he got me the Power Base which came with two controllers and a Hang-On/Astro Warriors multicart. I had no idea Sega sold this game separately and that's pretty neat. In retrospect Astro Warriors is 10 times the game Safari Hunt is even if it's incredibly short.
Addendum- Do you know about the Master System's secret game? Turn on your console without a game plugged in. Now, press buttons 1 and 2 while holding up on the D-pad. This will give you access to Snail Maze which is more fun than it deserves to be. ;)
It's crazy.. One of my oldest video game memories was finding that game
I love the Sega Master System. When it first came out, it was the first system I compared to having an actual arcade system. Graphics and game play were no different than most stand up arcade machines at that time.
It's like sidewinder on the Nes - Basic yet fun
Omg....forgot all about this game and YES I too sucked at it....but this brought back some great memories watching this.
This is a game that I continue to like more and more.
The best pack-in combo ever!
I love alot of sms games !!! This one is good too!!!!!
Seems good as far as basic shooters go
One of my top Master System games. I love this game to no end. Lol The 2 👎 on this video need to get their heads examined. 😆
Keep the Mighty Master System game reviews coming, the best 8bit cartridge system imo.
Have a look at Robocod & lemmings, both fun titles.
Hang on, Astro Warrior! };-)>
Seems like a precursor to Super Star Soldier (for the TurboGrafx 16/PCE), and a later game that was inspired by it, Super Star Shooter (which is currently a homebrew game playable on the Wii).
You should play Spelunker (1984 Broderbund) if you haven't already. It might make you break your #1 rule.
Fun game!
I had the combo cart with Hang-On as a kid. My brothers and I had more fun with Hang-On than Astro Warrior, but this game was still fun to play and I like the music. I don't think I ever got past the second stage back in the day.
