I just brought this one too.Those buttons work to. There is a noticeable difference between smoothie and ice crush which I use for frozen drinks. It's great but it's loud. It must sound like I am using a power drill in my apartment. I also use those large silicone ice trays where the ice is 2x2 and it has no problems at all.

Can you use the other bottom blades in the big container or only the stacked blades work for that?
hello I dont think you can use the smaller blade on the bigger container. Its built into the big container looks like you cant remove it. The idea is to be able to clean it easier and having the taller blades will allow the mixing from top to bottom. thank you

How do you turn the blender on to the motor
Hello left button on top left turns on the unit. Then you can choose your option.
Mine sounds too loud when I use the personal cup.
I have done smoothies with a few other blenders and they are about the same with the smaller cups. Also noticed that when I take the blender to a smaller kitchen it makes more noise. At my parents house its an older home and kitchen is closed in and wow it make noise but at my house with open kitchen its normal. Thanks
How well does it grind the berry seeds? Blackberry seeds are so thick
