- Min-Wai Chin vs Ralf Souquet from the finals of the 2000 US Open 14.1 Championship.
Chin, hailing from Chinese Taipei, was undefeated in the event, and had wins over Oliver Ortmann, Efren Reyes, Tony Robles, Thomas Engert and Souquet. He reports a lifetime high run of over 500 balls.
Amongst the many titles that Germany’s Ralf Souquet has to his credit are multiple European and German straight pool championships. He has two (8-ball and 9-ball) World Championships on his resume and was inducted into the BCA Hall of Fame in 2011. He has a high run of nearly 300 balls.
This was one 150 point match for the title.
Bill Incardona and Nick Varner called all of the action.

I saw this match live..Ralph was great, he played perfect pool to quote Nick Varner....Min played great at the event, his patterns were a lesson to watch.

Wow Ralf made a foul on the 8 ball when he was on 38 needing 5 for the win. When he was jacked up over it. Dont believe straightpool was cue-ball foul only... ever. Also no way he didn't feel that ;) But where was the ref?
ralf is as honest as it gets, i think i may not have felt it. pressure combo, his eyes on the combo etc. but the ref should watch the cueball
@@pechinma Dunno, but that 8 moved quite a bit. Ref nowhere near to check the foul. The commentators were talking about him potentially making the foul and didnt even see it LOL
This is one of the most poorly played straight pool game I have ever seen
