As army cadets, many moons ago, we were taken to a SAS assault course and firing range for a weekend. I can still remember it like yesterday. Especially the mock battle in a wood, where our SAS instructor had us open fire, while we were in cover waiting for the other squad, with our blank firing SLR's on a couple walking their dogs. Bloody hilarious and the SAS corporal didn't give a flying fig when the couple lost their temper. Great memory.

On British show Ramsey doesn't yell at people... he will rip the piss though. The shouting and drama is a US show production trope so at the end they can have that Scrubs/ Park n rec moment where the all hug at the end .....and they are out of business in a year - he helps restaurant's in Britain doesn't pick fights lmao
Gordon Ramsay has a few CZcams channels, not just one. He's very clever. He takes his old TV shows from over 10 to 15yrs ago and chops them up into little bits and uploads them to youtube. So he got paid for them shows all them years ago, now he gets paid via CZcams too. And because he has a million shows over 20+yrs he'll never be short of content to upload. The man's absolutely raking it in.

There was an exercise a few months back, between the Royal Marines and the Marine Corps. The exercise was meant to be 4 days long. The Royal Marines beat them in 40 minutes…

Gordon Ramsay is actually quite a funny easy going guy when he's not in his cooking show persona. His interview where he stuffs Alan Carr full of spices is fucking hilarious.
They also have a short video together where they're cooking, called I'm a Chef And You're a Cook. Since you like silly insults, you'll love it when Gordon calls Alan "You doughnut".
I think the reason why soilders are given tastless basic grub is so there is no opportunity of them getting the squits at an important time.
The idea of the water tubes being the first is for multiple reasons. 1) you have to be able to keep calm in tight and difficult situations. Even if you cant see. Breathe control is important. You cant be gasping for air whilst hiding from the enemy.
2) everything is worse when wet and cold
3) it makes that 32lbs gear weight closer to 45-50lbs if not more.
The effectiveness of wet and miserableness in training is why britain creates some of the best quality soldiers. We all have to go to wales or dartmoor and its horrid 😂 i know special forces operators who would rather be in a jungle or desert than in the wilds of british countryside 😂
Also i find this hilarious. I love the thought of watching british squaddies pulling out a prtable kitchen and making fresh food whilst being out on operation. 😂

Gordon is amazing. I don't believe he is trying to help the cooks he encounters in his shows, but does get the management moving. I imagine Gordon spent years obtaining his cookery skills. But this time with the troops was impressive.
I actually loved the food when I was in the Army. Always lots of choices and pretty tasty. Even the combat rations were ok for me. So I didn’t need Gordon 😂
That's near me in South Devon lympstone is near one of my favorite places exmouth...I miss doing the assault course after a 10 mile tab with full kit....not 😂😂

He's in decent shape, anyone who can run a marathon is but he's pretty mediocre timewise to be fair, I'm a mountain runner and you come across lots of people in the military in mountain running circles, I have two friends who are serving Royal Marines and we always hook up for a run when they're on leave, proper hard as nails blokes, I remember when one was training for the fitness test they have to pass and we'd do track intervals on the local track, and why the rest of us were resting between reps, lying on the ground gasping for air... he was doing pull ups! Different gravy the Marines! 🤣

Gordon’s swearing is like The Rock saying “IT DOESN’T MATTER!!!” to a wrestler the fans hate!
This is quite an old clip - his mention of Prince Harry wasn't really a dig (Harry was not in disfavour back then) -just a comment on the difference between food at royal tables and the ration packs.
As for the swearing, that's pretty typical conversational style for a lot of Brits - "fucking" used as an emphasiser even in non-heated conversations. Not in polite company of course but I believe it's more common than in normal US discourse.

Ramsey's Scottish, and swearing is so much part of out vocabulary we don't even realise when we are swearing...for Scots trying to speak without swearing is like trying to learn a foreign language.

12:40 - When you mentioned about him swearing the first time round I had to go listen to the sentence again cause I didn't hear it. Listened a second time: didn't hear it. That's just how normal English folk talk. I'm not even that working class and it seems normal to me. To be honest it's jarring to me when people's speech is overly sanitised.

Whoever edited this has ADHD (or more likely their boss who thinks they have their finger on the pulse of the nation). The calmness of the original Kitchen Nightmares is a welcome relief. Did they get a US editor? I find US pretend reality TV unwatchable because of exactly that, along with the stupid sound effects and music that is constantly telling you what to think. Turning everything to 11 is not a sound strategy.
The thing is though, they can’t take fresh meat with them.
So what Ramsey is doing is pointless.
It isn't pointless. They wouldn't take all these ingredients with them. He's just showing food that is better for the soldiers. All you'd do is ration this type of food, freeze dry, package it etc. along with other better food for the marines, in replacement for the crap they'd be given. You need to think about these things.
