- Mom and dad got us a new toilet. They say it is self cleaning. Well, me and Panthiras do not really care because we are not the ones who clean the litter box anyway. But this thing looks amazing. Panthiras is in shock. He is still trying to figure out where the poop are going.

Cats: Where did my shit go?
I’ve got the 1st generation model; bought 12 years ago. Other than having to replace the motor once ($30), I’ve never had problems with it. They’re well built and made here in the USA. It’s truly worth every penny of the $500 I’ve spent, and so easy to empty out.

I'm trying not to laugh too loudly; we have 4 kitties who come to watch every time the motor starts. Unfortunately, they also like to watch the other cats use the potty box which upsets them. I can't wait to buy another one. I love this thing.

That's so cool. An automatic self cleaning litter box would be much better and easier than having to scoop it yourself. It's much better and easier if you only have one litter box to deal with. I know that with a dog, you just teach them to go outside.
because it rotates the litter so much, wouldn’t it kick up a lot of dust in the room?

Tried the original Litter Robot back 10 years ago (or so). The cats here said "NOPE!" ... as the opening used to be WAY too small. Gonna try the new model, see if they have a change of heart.

They are so cute! I have one cat with a bobtail and another with an extra long tail like yours 🤣 We are on second day of our Litter Robot ...taking us a little longer, One successful use , and one entry 🤞have not removed back up yet.

What if one cat cat is in there comes out 2nd cat goes in an its sifting. Inwouls be frightened it may harm her a shredded cat
It detects weight changes; if another cat jumps in it just stops. It also waits several minutes before starting the cycle. You have to press the "Reset" button to cycle it again if it gets halted during the operation. I've been looking at these for some time now, and I've never heard of any cat being injured by the machine - it's not that powerful of a motor, even if somehow it failed to detect an "intrusion" during cycling.

I want to get a jitney or schoolbus to make a home from, and i do not want it to smell like a litterbox so I was thinking I migt invest in a self cleaning litterbox. The $500 dollars is a lot though.My reason for having a house on wheels is so I can avoid paying rent.Where I ultimately want to settle down in is Los Angeles California, and it is not affordable. I thought homelessness was my only option but that must be hard to do with 2 cats.Especially 2 cats who do not get along.Mine do not get along. My Cassie the 5 pounder bullies my TabbyBoy who is at least 25 pounds! He is 12 years old.I do not know how old she is,maybe she is 6 or 7. I don;t know if a Litter Robot can be plugged into a vehicle. I also do not want litter getting tracked all over,.My room carpet is still germy from when I had a little litterbox in the middle of my room for Caassie.I did not let her run around my entire apartment until I had her at least a month,since TabbyBoy freaked out when I brought Cassie home from the shelter. The idea of self cleaning really is appealing. Otherwise i was considering building a trap door and tunnel to a litterbox so the smell could be vented to the outside.But I do not want people to know the vehicle is actually a home! Also I worry about how to keep the bus cool without needing a battery or running engine to operate fans and or air conditioning.The safety of my cats must come first.

What do you mean you do not trust it? It is absolutely safe. When it is spinning and you touch it then it stops right away.

I have 2 trust me they work!
I have 2 they work perfectly fine for my three cats and there's a weight scale so they don't like flip over well it's spinning and cleaning itself so they work perfectly you can even set the time for when you want it to clean😁
