Most people are posting what kind of accent he has and where he's from and how cute he was, but did anybody listen to what he said it was perfect. Absolute perfection.
partyrock88 oh I’m listening and trying to wrap my mind around how he thinks sitting around getting high is the same as going to war. I mean in the end we all grow up but that’s a different way of looking at it. How old was he here-thirties?
I'm 62 and grew up in Southern California. I remember (with bittersweet fondness) the 60's and 70's well: the Vietnam War (which at 10, I didn't understand), the Watts Riots (I was across the tracks from the epicenter) the Animals, the Beatles, the British Invasion, Haight-Ashbury, Woodstock and the miriad other manifestations of the era... ...Now, in 2020, listening to this short interview and hearing Eric speak I realize - once again - that time really is a big circle. "There's nothing new under the sun," and although the particulars may differ, we just seem to go round and round...Eric - you are so beautiful to me (still).
You don`t see too many pictures where Eric is smiling. I think he was a very serious and intellectual person. I think he is just as talented as Mick Jagger, maybe more.
Awesome60sand70smusic Awesome60sand70smusic Debby is it ?? Can't recall... AS MICK JAGGOFF WOULD SAY "Lets spend the night together now I need you more than ever"....
Thomas Garbe - Now in "sagier years," like a lot of us. He's in great form, timeless music future gens can appreciate. Saw his west coast (small), venue couple years ago, excellent night. Flower Power Jamaica (cruise), huh? Possible, possible...
Heard him on the radio .1962 ten years old....in Sweden ...."don,t let me be misunderstod" fell in love with his voice, didnt understand a word....but the voice and the sound!
That’s Geordie for you! I’m one myself and most people who try to impersonate us end up either sounding Jamaican, Welsh or Indian. The American is because of how big he was over there. But yeah we are from a city called Newcastle Upon Tyne, in the north east of England, about 45-60 mins from the Scottish border so heavily influenced. It’s the oldest accent in England.
He's so young and articulate about the social & personal transformation of his artform--a bright, bright brilliant light. Smokin' hot on stage and off.
I was, I was 19 in 1965, he was five years older than me and in the 90s I got to meet him, twice. Talked for 20 minutes the first time, on the stage, at the Linda McCartney memorial. The second time, he remembered me, very sweet soft-spoken, He’s a very high minded gentle person , imo from his Taurus sun...
I used to play with his dog,a Sheltie,..out in his back yard,in Nichol's Canyon in the Hollywood Hills.He'd come outside and sit in a chair by the pool and watch me and the dog run around the yard.He's a really great guy. :}
I can't believe how wise and honest he was back then. He was very clear and that is how it was, when we were young. Look how much time has gone by and how much has been lost. We had the truth in hand and we tried to make a difference but it was stopped.
WOW - SO perfectly put and timeless!! Eric so young saw it and called back then- brilliant !! Lies, Hollywood, communication all misused - and is still going on! Man/kid beyond his time AND ridiculously talented AND that voice!!!
Everyone says about how good looking and sexy Eric is but how about how articulate, intelligent, interesting and pleasant he is, having said that, i do agree with everyones comments 😅👍❤️❤️❤️❤️
Now I understand why the young women in 1960’s would scream when I watched the Animals’ black and white music videos. He was a good looking man and I’m sure his band mates were very handsome too.
@@Fisky-ww6ee I dont mean to ask if the band members are still alive, I mean do the people still know the animals in newcastle, is there still some proudness about it that their from newcastle.

You don`t see too many pictures where Eric is smiling. I think he was a very serious and intellectual person. I think he is just as talented as Mick Jagger, maybe more.
I think he is much more intelligent than Mick Jagger not to compere...
Eric had plenty to say, he certainly wasn't self-absorbed and completely infatuated with himself like others were.
From what I’ve read Eric is a voracious reader, and a very intelligent person.
Definitely and that voice ..I think animals amazing underrated aband
He was also very funny in some of his interviews
