ULTIMATE Mobile Workshop - PART 2 - V-Nose Workbench / Power Tool Cabinet

- How to build a simple wall mounted workbench and cabinets for power tools. The V-nose of the Ultimate Mobile Workshop is going to serve as my main workbench. I used 2x4s and plywood to make a simple counter top and covered the wall in 1/2" plywood to organize my hand tool holders.
The power tool cabinet above each of the two-way drawers uses grooves in plywood to allow you to fit any size tool you want. Simply move the dividers around to change the slot size from 4 inches up to 24 inches.

It is beginning to look like a proper shop.
What a great Series! So happy to have discovered this while you are still doing it. Thanks for sharing your project.
Same bandsaw that I paid full price for. That's a great deal on it. Also you'll be happy with it. Its been a great one.
It's look fabulous - well designed - good luck with your trip
The mobile workshop is developing well!!!
Having a table saw sure makes modifying the depth of that overhead cabinet a breeze!
I love part 2 more then part 1 cause it's almost finished ❤️❤️❤️
You actually make very enjoyable videos Mike. I appreciate the "warts and all" construction process. I'm not a professional wood worker. Far from it. But sharing your decision making and mistakes brings a sort of "friendly" feel to your channel. Thanks for sharing. 😀👍
Thank you!
excellent progress! cant wait until you get on the road.
WOW! can't wait to the final product! :)
The workshop is coming along nicely, Mike. Great work!
Thanks!
You should make the front piece for the upper cabinets on a piano hinge so it holds the tools while traveling and folds open while working.
Looking good!
Trailer looking great. I need to build me one of those cabinets for my shop.
Nice work!
I could use that overhead cabinet on the vertical for scrapbook paper storage! LOL So cool to see how things are made. You make it look easy!
That would be a great use for it!
Looking good! 🤓👍🏼
Very efficient. I built a sliding platform that extended out of my van with equipment that would swing out on attached pivoted panels. I would slide in a leg support to the swing out for any equipment needed for the job. Everything would be visible and within reach at the same time.
trailer looks good kid!
keep up the good work!!
lookin good!
looking goooood!
Mike, I've got myself the same Grizzly bandsaw. Get yourself a good blade and it works like a gem! 👍🏻
looking good I wish I had any woodworking skills. I might be building a similar trailer in the next couple months I'm planning on using a 48ft gooseneck trailer with the front 28ft living quarters and the rear 20 ft for my car and a workshop when my cars not in it.
Looks great! You need your Mike and Lauren.com logo on there!
A removable panel saw on the exterior or use in a garage on a job site. Great for 4' x 8' material plywood insulation
I can't wait to see you guys on the road. Great job.
the trailer looks great kid keep up the good work
Show de Bola Blz!!!,brother,
Great work. I'm going to be embarking on a mobile wood shop myself shortly. What software are you using to engineer the design?
What do you do that you need a drill press and a band saw? Very nice trailer … whew ,. .
Are you gonna do some forging as well ?
Is that 1/4" plywood lip on the shelf going to be the only thing holding those tools in while traveling? Or will there be a door? I've traveled around the country in a motorhome and know from experience that potholes, ripples in the road, etc. can through items around something but good! As it is in this video, those tools will jump right out of there with some good sized road imperfections. -- just a heads up : )
Great video - thumbs up!
Good point. Perhaps a couple removable, horizontal straps during transit?
Love the progress M&L! :)
Any thoughts on dust extraction?
Looking good......and hot!
Thanks! And yes, I'm definitely looking forward to some cool weather on the road trip.
I'm making one (7x16) but im having an AC put in. Hopefully it works
You doe thuis made 16 gauge Brads ?
it looks proportional because uppers are 12" deep. Your kitchen is your friend.
I like how you say, learn sketch up so you can work through problems in the virtual world but then still have problems ,locks on bandsaw cabinet, upper tool cubby shelf depth,...however I must say when it's done it looks nice and I greatly appreciate your anal retentive attension to detail. looks awesome, where are you located with such expensive plywood and where is the Festool?
THIS IS A QUESTION ABOUT YOUR RV. HOW TROUBLE FREE HAS THE 1999 DYNASTY BEEN. I'VE DECIDED TO DO THE SAME HIGHER END LUXURY COACH LIKE A NEWMAR MOUNTAIN AIRE OR AN OLDER BAYSTAR OR SCOTTSDALE. IVE SEEN QUITE A FEW SOUTHWINDS OUT THERE THAT ARE IN INCREDIBLE SHAPE FOR UNDER $35K. PLEASE LET ME KNOW HOW WELL YOUR COACH HAS FAIRED SINCE YOUR PURCHASE. ITS STILL A SCARY PURCHASE WHEN IT'S GOING TO BE MY HOME FOR THE NEXT 5 YEARS MINIMUM. THANK YOU. I LIKE YOUR CHANNEL.
Why so stringent on using the birch? Surely a sheet of oak or dare I suggest pine are a lot cheaper and provide the same functionality for those cabinets no? Also... it's October 24th so I'm assuming the RV is departing Florida and is on it's way to whoever got chosen. Looks like I was not selected so maybe I'll get in on next round.
In our area, birch is a good compromise on cost and quality. We only have construction grade pine and oak would cost well over $100 per sheet.
And yes, the RV has left Florida! We loved the outdoor shower idea, but sadly our route ended up not quite taking us that far north. We will hopefully be going farther up the east coast sometime next year, so maybe we'll see you then!
A full wall should have opened, make a floor for the new opened space to double the actual floor
Yes First like :)
Jesus man.... that way toom much for import. Go with Sanded Ply... 30$ 3/4inch sheet at Depot :) As long as you joint the ends correctly.. no issues. All that i use because there is no place local here that sell the good stuff... and Im not gonna order wood. I see damage on the merch.
BUT!!! That looks amazing none the less man... amazing job
Dammit that's bigger than my shop and mine does not roll... humm
OCD alart
I know that woodprix has the best woodworking plans ever.
The import birch is crap, but how can anyone justify the price point of the domestic
Plywood is too expensive
I guess I shouldn't complain about the price of local 3/4 birch ply going from $40 up to $50 bucks a sheet! $120! yikes....
Yea, it's brutal.
What ever happened to these two?
Whatever happened to you guys?!
