    If I already have a SD card installed on my WiFi camera how does that work? Do recordings get saved to both or only one? If so which one ?

    • @ReolinkCameras
      @ReolinkCameras  Před 2 měsíci +1

      When the SD card is inserted in your Wi-Fi cameras, the recordings will be stored in the camera. However, if the SD card is not present, all recordings will be stored in the home hub

    What happened to the Home Hub Pro that we can put a hard drive in? microSD cards are too small and will degrade with continuous recording.

      More awesome stuff is on the way, so stay tuned!

    Does the home hub transfer data speed for video footage faster from the camera to the app? Or slower camera > hub > app? Or no difference?

    • @ReolinkCameras
      @ReolinkCameras  Před 2 měsíci

      They're all pretty much the same speed, no real difference.

    Does it offer face and plate detection?

    Any news on the Home Hub pro? If it's going to be released at the end of the year then I rather buy that otherwise I'm waiting around only for 1-2 years to be release I may as well buy it now.
    I want a dedicated system with ALOT of storage as 4K and alot of cameras eat all that storage up and 1tb isn't enough. The NVR wireless is optional but I like it to be app accessible rather than direct plug in.

    Can you connect the home hub & cameras to different wifi networks?

    • @ReolinkCameras
      @ReolinkCameras  Před 24 dny

      The Home Hub and the cameras must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

    @reolink How come the Lumus wifi isnt listed as supportrd. 1080 or 2k veriant?

    • @ReolinkCameras
      @ReolinkCameras  Před 24 dny +1

      All Wi-Fi plug-in cameras with a UID, including Lumus, are compatible with the Home Hub🙂

    What specific models are compatible? I have several WiFi models that are not Argus and I don't know if I have to return my new Reolink Hub.

    Does it act as an extender. My cameras are sort of distant from my router, and I want to know if the hub will bridge the distance?
    Also, if there's an SD card in both camera and hub, will they record to both?
    Thanks.

    • @ReolinkCameras
      @ReolinkCameras  Před 2 měsíci

      The Home Hub can not bridge the network distance. But if your cameras are WiFi cams, you could try to connect the camera to the Hub's WiFi.

    Will this work standalone - e.g. if never connected to Internet?

    • @ReolinkCameras
      @ReolinkCameras  Před 2 měsíci

      The home hub has to be hooked up to the internet.

    I used to have your cameras and gave up because there was no this homechab and that's why I would like to ask a few questions now.
    Will there be an update of the application that if I want to view camera recordings, I will do it only through this homechab
    Will I be able to buy homehub alone without cameras?

    • @ReolinkCameras
      @ReolinkCameras  Před 2 měsíci +1

      You can check out all your recordings and features on the Reolink app. You also have the option to get the home hub on its own or grab it with other cameras.

      @@ReolinkCameras I have found that any camera that has been initialised to the home hub, recordings will not play back if you have a Mac client, only on the iOS devices. On the Mac client get an error when attempting to playback "playback is not supported on this camera". EDIT Reolink support has since requested for me to download a fix version and that has worked fine.
