The ground's covered with snow, you're walking through the woods, and this song is playing quietly as you walk and watch the snow fall from the trees and sky.

I imagine this song playing when you're alone in your bedroom with your blinds closed in the middle of the day. You put it in a small lamp fixture, pointing it upwards to the ceiling, and turn it on at this very night. You play this song on loop. You curl up in a warm blanket, on your couch, with your crappy laptop on your lap. It feels like you're underwater. Finally... everything feels right for once.
For me it always makes me imagine sitting in the dark, with a dim light above, and dim little lights falling like fire flies.... just going out right before touching the ground

It knows your every move, because this place is a manifestation of the worst parts of yourself, your worst fears and guilts, all fully realized. But this place isn't just foreign, it's also familiar. It brings a strange sense of wonder, longing, and pure nostalgia. Why? Well because these things you have seen in this town, symbolize who you are in some way, be it good or bad. A complete reflection of yourself, for you to ponder and think about. Whatever has troubled you, whatever you have done, this town can bring either solace and peace to your mind, or it can bring your demise. It's all up to you, whether you will face your demons head on and accept what you have done, or run away from it all and suppress every bad part of yourself. Sorry for how long this was

you know, during the Lockdown here in Italy, where we all were in quarantine, I have been through a lot. During that period, there was a girl, I knew that girl for years, we went in the same school. Once I fell in love with her, and she friendzoned me, but she didn't want to end our friendship, instead, from that moment, we became very close friends, and then, when I was finally accepting the fact that she didn't love me back, she told me about her feelings about me, and she fell in love. From that moment, I didn't really know what to do, I actually still cared for her, and I was still in love, but that wasn't the same thing. Then, when the quarantine started, she told me that her feelings were not real, and she didn't want to delude myself again. From that moment we began to talk about that situation, I wanted her to stay with me, and she was confused about what to think. This went on and on for months, and in June, we met, we talked, and nothing. Yeah, nothing happened, we just talked, and she said she didn't care about my feelings, or if I would've been sad. That was the last time I talked to her. And since then, I miss her more and more as time goes on. (obviously I'm not letting that feeling to distract me and influence me negatively, I know how to deal with it, and I'm calm now). So, all of this just to say that, during that period, I used to listen to Silent Hill's music a lot, and I still do, and it remembers me about that time, when I lost the one who I loved the most. I liked the music and I'd never heard something quite like it before, so I asked him to send it to me... And now silent hill has become one of the most important and impactful game series in my life, silly as that might sound. So this song, and even this specific video, are extra special to me now. There's been dense fog for the past couple days in the small city I live in. Walking through the back streets in the middle of the night with the fog and listening to this music is one of the most soothing experiences I've ever had.
Makes me think of the Docks in Yume Nikki with its pitch black expanse of water broken only by the pond lanterns and their long shimmering reflections.
Those days will never return. It will never be 2001 again. I will never be 21 again. I will never know what freedom is again. I will never know what it feels like to play Silent Hill 2 for the first time again. But I can listen to the soundtrack whenever I want, lucky me I got the CD when it was relatively new and for a decent cost.

Those days will never return. It will never be 2001 again. I will never be 21 again. I will never know what freedom is again. I will never know what it feels like to play Silent Hill 2 for the first time again. But I can listen to the soundtrack whenever I want, lucky me I got the CD when it was relatively new and for a decent cost.

I can't explain it, I've never even played Silent Hill 2, but I listened to this during first months of lockdown, this song made me feel a solitude I've never felt before and now that those moments have passed, I feel a strong emotional torpor...

The game is psychological and it has elements that would be so fresh and you wouldn't beleive it's a game from 20 years before

I finally found this song in years and I thought it was some Halloween ambience sounds of creepy instruments, but I was wrong it's even better which this belongs to one of many of my favorite horror games or series, this song is like your out there in the very dark trying to get home till the end

The single notes throughout sounds or even feels like someone breathing, it gives the piece a life that is odd yet familiar. I see a dense foggy morning in a lonely house or on a quiet street and even though your locked up and safe you have an underlying feeling that theres something out side, not too far yet not to close.
