If you are gonna eat pies in NZ you gotta eat it like a Kiwi. It's the perfect take away meal. You just pick it up and eat it with your hands as you walk.

My boss was born in Indonesia, her family moved to Perth when she was 11,but she talks like she only just moved to Perth last week.

That car is a used Japanese import, that's why it's in Japanese. One of the great things about NZ is it's always green all year round. Only 11 of the 260 native trees of New Zealand lose all of their leaves in the autumn and can be called completely deciduous. The other deciduous trees are imports. So we're just as green in winter as we are in summer.
Wow! I've heard a lot of about the Hobbiton set and destination, but never actually seen anyone physically go to the location and VLOG about it, much less drive there and even show the ticket office! And thanks for showing the prices too!

Pies are just a casual,on the go stomach filler,not a flash gourmet meal.I was at an industrial estate lunch shop it Hamilton recently and they served prime steak ,chips and salad and many other proper plates as well as food in a pie warmer.Remember when quoting prices in NZ dollars,this currency is worth half the same figure in the US greenback notes.Also a lot you buy in insular NZ had to be imported from far away.

I'm from New Zealand but, I went to Seoul last year for a trip and there is a great New Zealand Style Meat Pie place called Eun Pie. I think its run by two Korean sisters who lived in New Zealand.

Latte from Maccas was definitely better than Mickey D's in the US! But we agree - cafe coffee is way better in both countries 😂

I agree with you that some people might walk away feeling they did not get much out of the tour and that's a real shame. As a local, I feel that for the price that is charged at Hobbiton the tour company could have done just that little bit extra so tourists almost have that authentic experience. For example the servers at the green dragon bar plus the tour guides themselves could have looked the part wearing the shire clothing that was worn in the movie. The tour would have been more memorable for children if the set included a couple of midgets/dwarfs (small adults) wearing pointy ears. One could be in a small boat on the lake pretending to fish and the other one coming out of one of the hobbit houses handing out little goodie bags of plums or something as tourist pass. Excuse my little moan lol I just think any tour should be exceptionally memorable especially when tourism is such a competitive industry.

There's a small space inside some doors, so you can take about 1 step inside (so the actors could step in and close the door naturally while filming)
