    I enjoyed watching you wire the engine. I have done a lot of pre-wired distributers. I used to do a lot of using just the wires and cutting them to length. But I enjoyed watching you do it. I like seeing how other people do things. You never stop learning, so like getting new pointers. Thanks, again, I enjoyed watching you.

    Thanks for another great how-to. I usually do the big hole in the center of the kit distributor too. But I only cut 5 wires 1 for the coil and 4 for the plugs twice as long as I need then I fold those in half so that they do not have loose, or cut, ends to try and shove in the hole. I can usually feed the coil wire into the middle of the bundle so that it doesn't hang up either. One thing I found distracting was the talking to folks that I couldn't see or hear lol. I assume you usually edit that out but I do not know. Still another wonderful video.

      I actually added the comments as a joke and the names are viewers like you that comment all the time. There was a discussion on Facebook that the How to: videos are boring and monotone. So I added those to see what happens.

    I'm fixing to get back into modeling again been quite a while my last one was a nearly a 2 ft long 1927 model t call The Golden t it's an older kit from many many years ago and I whent all out on that to make it as real as you can get from fuel lines electrical lines brake lines everything and then my final one was a 68 Camaro that was a 1/8 scale also large I did the same thing used actual aluminum tubing to make exhaust pipes old Pepsi cans cleaned up and made mufflers and all the hoses from heater hoses to AC everything been about 20 years now it's time to get back into it lot better technology for aftermarket goodies to bring our hobby to life

      @@TheMuscleCarModeler the thing with those large-scale ones is you really got to pay attention to detail cuz there's more to see even though it's been over 25 years and they're still in pristine condition with today's technology and equipment the sky's the limit now as far as the types of pay and aftermarket stuff for these models back then we had to improvise and make things

    I use the wires all the time in my builds.
    What I do is drill holes for the wire, in the kit supplied dist., and insert the wire. Then I just slip the boot, cut to length, over the wire.
    Here's another tip: Cut the boot at an angle, insert that onto the wire. Then turn the other half of the boot so it's at 90 degrees of the first half of the boot to make an 90 degree angled boot cover.

    Usually for those Pro Tech ones I just drill a hole big enough for the wire then glue the wire in and slide the boot down. But I agree the scale seems too big on those ones.

    • @TheMuscleCarModeler
      @TheMuscleCarModeler  Před rokem +1

      Yes but carefully. Paint doesn’t stick to well to the wires so it is best to have them in place before you paint. Once painted and dry. The paint doesn’t stick to well to the wire coating. So any flexing of the wire. The paint can crack and fall off.
