I love that she's fast, no special effects or weird angles. To the point!
Exactly!! I was just thinking about myself how I want everything to be perfect, then by that I’ll be having a cold falafel sandwich instead of a hot one 🤣
Esp with the cutting of the onions... I thought I had it on 1.5x speed 👀
Haha true
You are so natural.... and your food is amazing
My falafel always falls apart in oil. Basically dissolves and turns to mush. What am I doing wrong?
Reminds me of my mother. Love her working hands, her outfit, her cooking style, and her advice.
So this is how it is REALLY supposed to be done?
@@vancepleasant9525 Yes this is Authentic. I lived in the country of Egypt for 7 years in Beni Suef and made this a lot.
I like that you talk when you have something to say, as opposed to many who feel the need to talk all the time!
This was one of the nicest cooking videos to watch! No unnecessary blah blah blah. And the end result looks delicious!!! Thank-you ❤️
barb ryll Agreed!
I agree.
Yes too much simplicity and in a natural way...
I agreed
Totally agree 👍🏿
You cannot beat seeing a “Mummy/Momma” in the kitchen, sharing their family favourites that have been enjoyed for decades. I LOVE how she just dives in at the end. Bless her heart. What a wonderful Lady. 💖💖💖
Was that cabbage or lettuce?
🌼Yes, she's beautiful. Love her earthy rustic family style. Carmela makes me wanna take risks in kitchen w/o fear of failure hanging over head. She may give a scold, but she equally seems as likely to console you if you messed up too. 🌼
🍴FALAFEL is my all time favorite dish across the board. Can't wait to try this method. Bless you❣
🍅CW: Looked like cabbage to me. Holds up better than iceberg anyway. Use what want.
@@carlawilliams5769 cabbage in the salad
Decades who? It’s Palestinian & syrian traditional dish !!
Carla Williams cabbage red and white.
Hello and thank you! I love your style of teaching us how to make Falafel. I am from Latin America and I love Falafel. I appreciate how well you prepared it and I am so glad you shared it with so many who also enjoy it. You invited us into your kitchen and went straight to the point. You demonstrated the process in such a simple and clear way.
This woman is wonderful. Quick and on point!💕
Liked the simplicity ... no show off with fancy gadgets or lights or utensils !! Very nice !!!
Thank you, there are no stores or restaurants around that sell these. Now I can make my own.
Best falafel video yet straight to the point and easy to understand.Thank you
I loved this video. She used regular spoons and wasn't so exact that it was intimidating. You can tell she's made this a million times and it always comes out awesome. I also loved that when she was ready to eat she was like video over. Lol.
I love watching how this wonderful woman is cooking! Thank you for sharing the recipe and congratulations!
you re so quick!! thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much! I love that your instructions are easy, direct and to the point! I also love that you included the information on how you can freeze the mixture before or after you cook the falafel. I was looking all over the internet to try and find that information. This recipe will make too much for just me and my husband so I appreciate knowing I can freeze the mixture. I'm going to make your recipe today! Can't wait to try them! OH! and thanks for including how to assemble the falafel sandwich. We're going to make homemade pita to go with your falafel! I'm going to make your recipe today. Can't wait to try them!
Best part is that last bit when she eats it and savours the taste! Makes me cry with joy!
Thank you Carmela!
So sweet and simple..no fuss..I like her simplicity and her straightforward way of explaining how to cook falafel!!
💖💐
Luks yummy will try it out Thanks for sharing 😊👍👍👌👌
Looks amazing! Definitely like how you blended the ingredients individually to protect the integrity/consistency of each. The fresh veggie blend and tahini were legit as well. Probably making this tomorrow 😁😋, thanks for sharing.
Looking for a falafel recipe and this was the best. I’m not at all a falafel expert but the technique of grinding the beans first, then the herbs, THEN combining by hand makes so much sense! Everyone else does it all in the food processor. I’m trying this. Thank you!
You know it's the real thing when you see Ziyad Brand! This takes me back my dad was from the West bank and we ate good when he was in the kitchen!
I did and it is simply wonderful this recipe! Nobody stops eating! Delicious!! ♥️
Lovely, clear & straightforward instructions in a real home kitchen ❤️ I’m going to try using an ice cream scoop to form & drop them into the oil. “Oh, yummy, Bon appetite!”
Lovely idea, the scoop will be just too good for this purpose.
I love your videos! They are so real as opposed to the fancy ones that skip steps to look more attractive. The beauty of a recipe video is the actual work and not the finished product! Thank you!
Can't wait to try these!!! Thanks for the quick salad and assembly instructions,
👍 great video! Thank you for teaching us. I will try at the weekend.
Looks amazing and I love that you packed out that pitta with the food. Thank you.
What great instructions! I just tasted falafels for the first time about a month ago and want to make for myself. Thanks so much for this wonderful video!
Thank you for sharing. Truly cooking from the heart. I have made this recipe and it is the best! Stuffed into a pita pocket with a chopped Greek salad and tahini sauce is out of this world. You guys need to try this. I used whole cumin and coriander seeds that I toasted in a skillet then ground in a coffee grinder. I fried them all up and froze... then just reheated in a oven at 250F for about 20 minutes.
i loved this video. quick, to the point, not too much talking. you are also skilled with your knife. totally down home. thank you!
Thank you for the recipes 😀
This reminds me of my Mama, no frills, love it!!
Looks beautiful, does not use hand too much, like the way she mixes with ladles and will definitely try. Love the simple salad
Really enjoyed this! Thank-you for sharing this amazing recipe💕
Thank you for sharing this recipe! It looks wonderful.
Thank you for the recipe, we all love falafel in our family and that sandwich is truly a hunger buster. Thumbs up..!!
Thanks Carmela! Looks absolutely delicious, yum.
No messing, just getting on with it. Love your style! Really cool.
I made them and had them for dinner tonight, it's Sunday 6/16/19. They were very good and I'm so glad I have 2 zip lock bags in the freezer. A nice dinner with a salad. 🌷💜🙋
I tried this recipe - yum yum. I'm going to make it tonight again.
I’m retired, came from meddle East falafel was famous in Arabic coffee shop. Love it. Now I’m back home 🏠 no one knows falafel. Thank you so much for your recipe very clear instructions. Thank you from the bottom of my heart 💓👍🏻 I made it it was perfect 👌😘😘😘😘
She is messy in a good way! That is how my mom used to be in the kitchen when she cooked and I wouldn’t want it any other way.
It is normal to be a bit messy while working in the kitchen, I bet all the people who cook will understand and agree.
How is she messy? Her kitchen is clean.
She's not messy at all!!
I add peeled fava beans into the mix ,it makes a lot of difference in the taste also I use both parsley and coriander, and I roll the falafel into sesame seeds before frying 😋
Hope A. By peeled do you mean you soak them overnight and take the skin off?
Coriander?.you mean Cilantro....add jalapeno to spice it..
Got to try that. All is good.
kotugirl Weerasekare I’d pop frozen in microwave 30 seconds and peal , they taste better without it being waxy
@@refatrabadi6656 coriander=cilantro (means same thing - in u.s. many consider coriander as the seed and cilantro as the green plant - other countries use the two terms inter-changeably)
Omg all looks so delicious,I love all the fabulous ingredients thank you for sharing
Thank you for sharing it was delicious Yummy yummy .
Omggggg she's so cute. I love your videos! Thank you, this recipe looks amazing.
Thank you for your easy to follow steps, I am going to try to create these dishes at home. Whenever I try any of this food in a restaurant, they are so gorgeous and tasty.
That's my mama! I can personally attest that these are delicious!
Your mama 👩 is beautiful
Hi I tried the recipe my flafel's tasted raw from inside ...what am I doing wrong can you ask you're mama plzz ....waiting for you're answer
I'm sorry , didn't get my text cleaned up before i sent it. Keep urging your mom to do this. Is there a substitute for cilandro, i can smell it & it gives me a terrible headache, i have cluster headaches & many things affect me but not other people.
What about daughter ? is she as good as her mother in cooking?
.you can omit the coriander/cilantro powder and it will still taste good....just the way I do it...
That looks sloop delicious !!
Thank you for showing this .
Looks so delicious! Can’t wait to make these, and thank you for sharing!
I love the way you teach look so yummy
thank you very much and God bless you and your beautiful family
Oh my looks so good! Looks just the way they used to make them in New York where I am from originally. Need to make some. I make them pretty much the same way you do. I have been told in the past to use chickpeas and fava beans together. Will try chickpeas by themselves next time probably cheaper thank you
thats how i made it too mix it with fava bean turn really tasty.for salad add romaine leaf, cucumber, tomatoes, onion and lemon juice.sauce for sandwich mix mayonnaise, yogurt, fresh crush garlic.
Those look fantastic. I’m drooling! Beautifully made, Carmela.
That was great 👍🏾 🥰! Love watching you!
Thank u
I love falafel and this is an easy way to make it . keep more coming
It makes me hungry 😊 it looks so delicious.
Congratulations! It takes a lot of time and preparation - and courage- to make a video. You can tell she has been doing this all her life. She does it by heart! No measurements. Keep it up.
This is so delicious! I made it according to this recipe yesterday, and I was satisfied. Thank you!
You make my mouth water, I can't wait to make it. thank you so much

Lovely falafel 🥙 easy to follow.thanks ❤
I have to try these, the look so good, thank you for posting this video
Love falafel!! Thanks for sharing!! Looks SO delicious!
Cooking is about watching as much as it is following a recipe. I'm South American, and I learned to cook by eye, only because there is no recipe. Everyone will have a different take on the same recipe. Its called watch your mom. 😄 .
I have seen many people make videos on Falafel and I always come back to this one. Thank you!
Wow they look great Carmela!!
I tried making falafel last night using your recipe. Didn't have parsley, used coriander leaves instead. It turned out so good and delicious. Thank you so much for sharing 😘
I like to mix both Parsley and Cilantro, with a little fresh Mint too.
Excellent recipe! They turned out awesome. Thanks!
Wow amazing and delicious falafel with salad great thanks for the clip.

I give you full respect for that serving size at the end, now that Falafal looks incredible!!. Thanks, I am going to try this.
I could sit and listen to you talk all day. I’m making this recipe.
I love this sweet beautiful little lady good job.
Thank you so much, Carmela! 😍❤👍🏻 I like falafel! 😍💞
OK. I love this! I love when people get to the point! Great!
Very easy to follow and I like her fast cooking, that is really how we, mom, cook a lot of the times…in a rush! Thank you, it looks delicious! 👍☺️😋
Thank you for making this video. Falafel is one of my favorite foods but up until now, I've always been intimidated to make it at home. :)
adding fresh coriander, fresh mint and chili flakes works wonders also and we also use a homous dressing too - this one is mega good too
I couldn't agree more, and though not academic, mint adds a wonderful freshness to falafels
Thank U Carmela so much. Love Falafel, will make recipe tonight for dinner! 🌷🙌🙏💖💙💝💞💜💕💚God Bless You!
I'm so pleased yo be watching. Both my daughter and myself used to buy this when shopping in our local market from a lady who made it fresh every Saturday. Thznk you do much for this video.

Fantastic 👏👏your recep. Is original... I’ll prepare for my friends ... thanks a lot
Omg, where ever you're from, there's something special about mum in the kitchen. I watched this and it brought me back to my childhood, my mum teaching me how to cook. She would never use an actual measuring cup😅.
Videos like these make me realize that we're more alike than we even know.
You are by far the best teacher and cook to make a great falafel. Thank you.
I like your cooking way easy clean and perfect 👌
Thank you for your clean home
