The South African Airforce of yesteryear (1994) ordered in the region of 19 Puma helicopters to the area. Their professional effort is what saved the day.
Nowadays the South African Airforce doesn't have enough serviceable Pumas for menial firefighting duties.

Thankfully the water intake was minimal, buying some time for the entertainment staff to be able to pull off this remarkable evacuation- probably the most heroic ship evacuation in modern history.

I work in these company in two ship. Pegasus. And atlas ...the captain and all the crew ..are like at rat to abandon the ship.the pasanger. Big bastards .no..seaman
