He knows it and he's too hungry to give fucks who shoots him first, that's why he just basically walk to the UAF to surrender. When they said we've seen this before, that one Ukrainian referred to a straggler sent to surrender but was used as bait.
What happens before these clips are some vatniks officers sent suspicious fellow Russkie that's close to say f it and pack bags and desert. They just cut em loose and said go find food or mundane stuff. Hoping for the said deserter to walk to any enemy position the drone that stalks them afar will spot where he surrendered and kamikaze dive a drone strapped with bombs there, plus points if the deserter got to a Ukrainian line with support units to close to be Targeted

This whole thing is basically a bunch of politicians who want to push an issue until it kills enough people that someone gives up.

"Nobody is forcing them to shoot Ukrainians, nobody is putting a gun to their head" No, they are actually quite literally being told to fight or get killed by their own "comrades" because disobeying orders is equal to treason, that's the absolute state of Russia armed forces and current doctrine, and it's not a new doctrine at all, even back in WW2 this kind of thing happened, don't get me started on Russian empire history or Soviet union.
Thing is, pretty much in all countries you either go to war and follow orders or you get imprisoned facing martial court at best, or directly killed at worst
Yes, Russians are invading and they deserve and have to be fought back, but to demonize and generalize soldiers is equally wrong, that's why it is always said that in war nobody wins

It's an unwritten rule of war at sea that you ALWAYS pick up survivors regardless of side, because to not get picked up = certain death. Every single power, axis or ally, had a huge amount of ship/fleet commanders who held to this rule(and a few cases of machine gunning survivors, but those were frowned upon). Sometime surrendering is the only option, my cousin's friend is a foreign fighter he volunteered to help the ukrainians, last month approximately 7-11 russian soldiers surrendered to them and said "we were tired, no ammo, no food, no...help we were just left there, our radioman is dead and the radio was broken so we have no way to ask for help and, he died because of hypothermia, we tried our best to keep him warm but it was to late, we scavenged out there looking for rations and anything we can get our hands on but all we got was just 1 bag of a loaf of bread, we ate it piece by piece and passing it to eachother."
Safe to say, war is already a hell on earth, desperation can lead to that feeling of "i just want to die, let me die man" i feel bad for both sides, hell putin at his corrupt generals doesn't give a shit about their soldiers, not even his own people, he just sends them all out, young and old...he just send them and leave them to die😢
Edit:i think it was an entire squad that surrendered to them i'm not sure...my cousin's friend said "that's all of 'em, like that was it just those 11 men surrendered to us, no weapons only the armor with no mags no grenades, nothing, they had nothing left except their knives"

That's the direct result for their lack of progress for the entire war, essentially the furthest they went is at the start of the campaign when they have everything with them.

Russia is an apathetic nation of people, happily swallowing Putin's B.S. and hoping things get better. This narcissistic POS is about to be "reelected" to another 6 year term while the country's greatest hope (Navalny) was poisoned and now imprisoned in a penal colony in the Arctic. All along, I've said it's only the people of Russia that can stop this war. It's time for them to rise up against this evil regime and want more for their country. Complacency is complicity! You can only bury your head in the sand for so long before you have to come up for air. Rise up a Russia!! Make the world proud of you!!

You heard wrong. This is a conscripted felon out of jail. Russia's kill count is higher than Ukraine, who is conscripting everybody including now women.
