I do pipe cleaner curls on my natural locs all the time. I want to try wrapping my locs with different colored yard just for a change but i didn't think i could curl them (duh). I can't wait to try this!
Just dip them in and out like you would with box braids. You just need the wraps to touch the boiling water and once they do it will be able to set once dried.
The curls can last up to 2-3 weeks and then they start to fall, but the wavy pattern should still be there for a while. The ones that I do on my cousin usually last for the two months or so that she keeps them in, but like I said the curls will fall after 2-3 weeks.
What kind of yarn did you use like was it 100%acrylic or wool? Her hair turned out beautiful! I love that yarn wrap tool! I just learned something new! So thank u so much I will def try🤗❤️🦋!
I was just wondering cuz the length is exactly how I want mines. When u prep your yarn how Long was the yarn, when folded, that you used to braid in the hair.
If the individual braid under the wrap is braided all the way to the end it will make the wraps stiff. They loosen and have more movement once they gwt a week or 2 old. You don't dip the wraps in hot water if you're not going to curl them

I do wraps all the time, I don't braid it to the end, but sometimes I wrap too tight and it feels stiff; dipping them in hot water loosens them.
