  • The Digitone is out, and it's one of the best implementations of FM synthesis so far! In this video, we debunk the notion that FM is complicated and show a few easy steps to creating your own FM sounds!

    I feel like no one has mentioned this for five years (that I can see), but you appear to have mixed up A and C at exactly 2 mins: It says if you adjust the bottom (A) oscillator, it will change the overall pitch, which you then demonstrate by changing the frequency of C. A moment later you remain true to what you started by mixing it up in the other direction. Hope I'm not wrong about this. Other than that, stellar tutorial. Thanks!

    I love how it's a tutorial...then the operator gets lost for 5 minutes playing with sounds going further into the FM rabbit hole! The Digitone experience!

    Best tutorial to start designing sounds on the Digitone, lots of stuff suddenly makes so much sense. Thank you!

    This was such a brilliant tutorial, you covered concepts of the Digitone that no one has..
    Bravo!!!

    Please keep the tutorials coming-just picked up the Digitone, my first Elektron product. Incredible!

    Excellent tutorial. I found if you just lose a few hours to it eventually it starts to make sense. But it still always surprises you. Tractors to crystals with one spin of a knob.

    Nice demo! Like the clean, but rich sounds this produces ... and then the 4 track sequencer. Wow, lots of possibilities!

    Will have to add it to the arsenal soon.

    Hi does DT do a 7th chord instead of a Triad on triggering a single note

    • @grandmasterjo1

    7:38 is there a mistake in the text? A is modulating B in this case and not C?
    Great tutorial

    • @AndresCampoMusic
      @AndresCampoMusic Před 3 lety

      X Carrier in that algorithm is C, so A is modulating C (as far as I know)
