Great video - thank you. I need to replace the cutter head on my planer, and now it's clear what to. I appreciate the pace of your video and your clear narration.

I replaced the head of my planer due to stripped threads in the casting. I was able to complete the project but it wasn't nearly as simple as the video describes. For some reason both sets of "front" holes in the casting were too small to insert a steel rod. I ended up removing one of the rods for testing. I had to mill the holes (four total, two top and two bottoms in the front) larger and polish with fine paper to remove the scratches. It took me at least eight hours to complete the repair. Had I known I probably would have purchased a new unit.

Great video. Link in the description to the part goes to what I assume is a planer head for a Bosch handheld planer, not the one in the video.

I need to make 2 boxes to put a 734 in for checked baggage on an airline. Can the base be removed easily? Can you tell me the exact measurements (LxWxH) of the base as well as the dimensions of the unit without the base? Thanks much
