  • On our annual return snowbird RV trip up the Oregon Coast this spring we stopped at a favorite little coastal town called Bandon "Bandon-by-the-Sea".
    I'm putting together a blog post about our stay which will include a 3 part video playlist showcasing the Bullards Beach State Park we stayed at, the cool little historical town district and of course the wickedly cool beach it is most famous for.
    In this first video. I'll show you around the state park we camped in including an old historic lighthouse, the campground, and a hike / dog walk on a trail out to Bullards Beach.
    Stay tuned for parts 2 and 3 in the future...
    To wet your appetite check out this past post and video I did during a late fall stop at Bandon Beach a few years ago - www.loveyourrv....
    Update - Part 2 is out - Part 2 - • Visit to Bandon Oregon...

      Can't go too wrong with any of the Oregon State parks on the coast. I also really like the one called Nehalem Bay SP near Cannon Beach.

    The trees on the beach are shore pine, (maybe spruce). The flowered plant on the trail is possibly Rhododendron. 👍

    Good video! The yellow blooms along the beach is Gorse, not Scotch broom. Gorse has long needle thorns and crashing through a Gorse thicket would be plenty painful indeed!

    I was considering about taking a trip to Bandon to go fishing but I saw all those seals swimming near the light house and realize now that there are VERY FEW FISH LEFT there to catch. It would probably be a wasted trip. They are getting so overpopulated that they are destroying the fish population in all estuaries on the coast.

    just found your Channel. Have you done any tips on tire maintenance and how you avoid or limit blowouts as much as you travel? thx

    • @LoveYourRV
      @LoveYourRV  Před 8 lety

      I've not done much on tires. On my trailer, I went up one load range on my original tires from D to E, keep them inflated near max and try very hard not to hit and curbs. Never had a blowout or flat in 5 years and about 50,000 miles of towing.
      Old tires can cause blowouts as they rot from the inside so if your trailer tires are over 5 years best to change them even if tread looks good. For motorhome tires, you can go to maybe 7 years.
