    You have the right idea about the strap but it is used to actually attach it to a paddle board, bike rack, etc. so it isn't moving around. Typically it would be looped across the bottom of the case and not the top. Great stuff!

    I love they way they box their watches. I went for the Garmin 745 but it was a tough call to not go for the Coros.

    • @its_Matt_B_
      @its_Matt_B_  Před 2 lety

      The 745 is a great watch and, yep, I get that it was a tough call; COROS make watches equally as good as Garmin, but maybe with better battery life overall!

    Matt what do u think of coros app compared to polar's.how do u like it so far?also what about instant pace.on coros is always slowly catching up but i quess it get's the job done.on polar is very instant.i would live your opinion.cheers!🙏👍🏃

    • @its_Matt_B_
      @its_Matt_B_  Před 2 lety +1

      I think Polar has one of the best apps out there, but I have been enjoying getting to know Coros. As far as instant pace, it's not something I pay attention to too often, so I can't say i've noticed. When I run easy I barely pay attention to pace, and when I'm doing a workout (intervals, tempo, etc), I look closer at my average pace for the lap. By looking at the average pace for the lap, I get a smoother idea of how fast i'm running. Oh, one thing I like better about the Coros watch is the recovery metrics. It's easier to view on the Coros watch than the Polar watch! Which watches do you have? I'm updating my Polar Vantage V2 as i'm writing this to get the latest goodies Polar is pushing out! I'm hoping to get my hands on a Grit X Pro as I really like the idea of the sapphire glass making it a bit more rugged. My Vantage V2 seems a little delicate and i've already scratched the lens just from doing normal life stuff.

    • @andreaskanellopoulos9793
      @andreaskanellopoulos9793 Před 2 lety +1

      @@its_Matt_B_ thanks for the feedback Matt.well i have a grit X so i guess i'm kind of unlucky.i think the grit X owners should really get the same features as the V2 on the upcoming update.I can't think on a outdoor watch as advertised not to have a widget with position or altitude on the screen.But i think the coros watches are just hands down way better on gps accuracy on trails compared to polar's watches..what do u think?

    • @its_Matt_B_
      @its_Matt_B_  Před 2 lety +1

      @@andreaskanellopoulos9793 The Grit X won’t get the same updates because Polar has to keep some perks for the more expensive watches. The Vantage V2 is supposed to be the flagship watch and the updates are only to keep up with the Grit X Pro’s features. I think the Grit X Pro is the best watch Polar makes, so I wonder if they’ll be coming out with a Vantage V3 anytime soon. The Grit X is still an excellent watch and will remain in the lineup, but tbh, the Grit X Pro should be the default features from here on. Not having sapphire glass on a sports watch, especially a trail focused sports watch like the Grit X is just silly. I’ve been testing the COROS along side the Polar and on the roads I’ve found the GPS accuracy very similar, almost identical. I haven’t tested it on the trails or around large building yet, but I’m expecting the COROS to excel in that department!
