As a Spurs fan, I think this game also went a long way to understanding how deep our injury crisis was when we first played this season. Villa had their chances but the difference in quality with so many players back for us is also very telling.

I dont see Aston Villa having any fans that travel very far so then its shameful when so called supporters leave that early just because they are losing, never in 61 years have I ever left Spurs early and god knows we have has plenty of cause over the years and look at the empty seats for a top flight game like this.

As a Spurs fan I’m not trying to gloat but at 1-0 down a few of your supporters got up to leave, and at 2-0 as soon as the goal went in yet quite a few more left.There’s no rule in the game to say you can’t come from behind.That’s why we come from behind a lot because we stick with the team until the end. Managers do get it wrong sometimes. Unfortunately Emery did today. Fortress Villa Park has long gone, 4 out of last 5 games ending in defeat, unacceptable! Players let themselves down but the tactics applied were shambolic. Defeat lays at the managers door. The writing was on the wall before sending off. If we Don't beat Ajax here on Thurs then it will be normal service resumed of poor weak knee'd performances which Villa have been producing of late.
