It’s getting so bad that the dealership leaving the Hellkats out to be stolen but nobody stealing them…😂💯
I think they can get their money back if it's stolen and not recovered. Right now they are losing money selling new 2023 Model year cars in 2024.
Now THAT'S wild if thieves aren't even interested in stealing the Hemis.
They all outside in NC😂
Yup lol here in Houston too only thing that’s inside is them 170 shits anything below that collecting rust outdoors😂
The thieves can't even afford to insure them. LOL
I’m waiting for the 75% below MSRP sale
🤫👀
That's in August right?
Imagine😂😂😂
Me and you both 😂😂😂😂
That won’t happen, they’ll whole sale them at auctions before marking them down 75%.
If they did that I’d buy a Scatpack Challenger for myself and a Scatpack Charger for my woman on the same day.
People take pictures on the freeway, stop me at food places, kids take pictures with my car. Gotta be honest my Hellcat gets all the love.
Do you have a charger or challenger?
@@nicos1097 Challenger
Same here, Charger HC Redeye, get photographed all the time and I plan on paying it off early and keeping it forever and of course mod it after the warranty is up
@@LSp8 Love it, and we have the same plans for our cars too 🔥.
You must live in a small town
Charger and challengers are the crown Victoria of the new age. Never changed.
Who wants to wait till the year's end to race out and buy an OUTDATED CAR that sat on the lot for over a year and collected dust and rust?
If they're willing to take on the cost of putting brand new rotors and brakes on it, and drain/change all the fluids, and change whatever Else has rusted, then I'll buy one.
Me.
My 16 SRT sat on the lot over a year collecting dust because it was a 6 speed, 7 years and 65k miles later I’ve had no problems!
Probably a lot of people!
🙋🏾♂️
As they should. Hellcats should be 75k max not 100k and I’m talking redeye jailbreak 807hp. The only dodge worth 6 figures is the viper 🤷🏿♂️
Nope try 60k after tax, reg, title
ARC
Hellcat should be 55,000 to 60,000 nowhere near 70,000. My Hellcat brand new and 2020 was 53,000.
And not even the public road purpose viper either we talking ARC track purpose like the mustang GTD( which is over priced imo)
No more than 65k if it's not the demon. It's all the same interior exterior just with different belts and superchargers
Dodge isn't special anymore. Chargers and Challengers are everywhere. I wanted a scat or hellcat for a while, but with all the news from Stelantis and cars getting stolen, i dont want the headache, nor do i want to put my life on the line for a Dodge 😂😂😂
Shi speak for yourself ima get me that super charger 😂
@YAU10 hope you're strapped and wearing bulletproof vests. Lol, good luck 👍
@@YAU10get you a ram 3500 dually looks good. And can make you money.
Interest Rates, Greedflation we are now paying the "Actual Price car
w/ cafe credit paybacks included, passed onto us the Consumer. Also milking the same cars since 06,08, & 05 was eventually gonna play out(300s Challenger & Chargers). A certain segament of the population, will still be rocking these cars 20 years from now listening to the exact same music from this ERA. Could care less.
@@Darkseid757 trust this ARP everywhere I go 😮💨
biggest thing stopping me from getting a wb scat, is saving for a house
Your right Dodge got greedy but I would say from 2020 to 2024 and 20 thousand plus for the same car is crazy . Dodge forgot one of the reasons why there cars were so hot affordability for the working guy who wanted a bad machine
It all went down after 2019. COVID hit, and they found an excuse to raise vehicle prices.
all I want is a dodge Durango R/T don't need all that other stuff
Prepare to pay hellcat numbers just to get a V8 Durango off the lot
$66k and 👆
My 2016 HELLCAT CHARGER was $75,000 loaded.
I NEVER would have spent the $85,000- $100,000 being demanded for the widebody or Redeye.
Dodge got greedy.
Now they’re going to die.
I paid 72 for my 2020 ordered red eye. I laughed at a dealer the other day who was still getting mark ups
You paid way too much
Lol
you paid too much as well, not even a widebody, 2016s were like 55-60k max
Dodge failed to realize that people could barely afford the cars to begin with
Great insight from you KO360 I never thought about it like that, keep dropping the knowledge much appreciated 💯
Dodge messed up by raising MSRP on something that hasn’t changed in 10 years. But the dealerships need to go. If the EV thing gets pushed back like everyone other manufacturers is doing and brings the v8s back. They need to allow us to cut the dealerships out the equation and do what Tesla does and drop that shit off at your house.
Amazing idea
It's crazy that my 2012 charger r/t is about 80 percent the same interior wise to my 2023 1320
Somewhere Dodge forgot they were selling Muscle cars and thought, hey why not get supercar prices if they want these cars! There is always a tipping point and Dodge went past it by a mile.
I called yesterday about a $70,000 super bee. Let’s all keep in mind there’s nothing super about it and it’s a 392. I sent to the guy I’m interested in the superb. I know it’s been sitting there for a year. I’m nowhere near 70,000.. He says make me an offer. I want it off my lot. I replied 58,000. He said no, I can’t do it for that, but I can give it to you for retail. I said well what’s the retail price? he says 69,000. Ahahahha ahhahahahahaha ahahhahahahah…
Goofy ass lost a chance to take it off the lot. They will be forced to severely reduce the prices because the masses for the most part agree they are severely overpriced. That salesman is Uber goofy.
Let this Scat rot on his lot....he'll remember not taking that 58k offer...
even 58 for a scat is insane regardless if its a super bee lol, shits worth 30k in parts at most
I don’t think the huge discounts will ever really materialize until the inventory is down next to nothing. I go on all my Florida dealer sites daily and their inventory is going down. Albeit slowly but it is going down.
These remind me of when the SRT magnum and SRT 300c came out, everyone had them. After a while, nobody was breaking their necks when one passed by.
The prices increased because of the penalties Dodge paid to maintain the V8 production. It’s very expensive to maintain the V8 those days with the emission standards. They have to pay penalties to CAFE and it is reflecting on the car price. People want V8’s, but don’t want to pay the price. That’a why they are going electric. They have no choice
That's it right there. That's a major contributing factor as to why prices went up.
If that's the case why are Chevy and ford still making V8s that are capable of emission standards. Nobody wants EVs and the government wants to force something that is causing more pollution to be made plus more to get fixed
@@MR_DLG because Chevy and Ford don’t have the same strategy than Dodge. They diversified their products. Mostly Dodge cars have big engines (Ram, Charger, Challenger, Durango…)They don’t have the same emission. And I am pretty sure it will come a moment where Chevy and Ford will have to go electric. I am not a fan of electric cars neither. I have a Charger Super Bee and I am so glad I have it. I am not ready to go electric
@@Hdeejamesexactly, when Chevy and ford were making the more emission savvy cars like the ford fusion, trax, ecosport so and so fourth dodge only had the 3.6 to show and THAT engine isn’t even all that eco friendly so it’s all on dodge they shot themselves in the foot and now they can’t or don’t want to buy anymore carbon credits from Tesla so they gotta go electric 🤷🏽♂️ on top of stellantis wanting to get rid of the big V8s anyway
Where do you get this info from?
The swap game is part of sales declining also...
our local Dodge dealer had a whole lot full of Mopars marked up since last year, and not selling anything. they finally been forced to put discounts on their inventory (under sticker)
Good video I took my Hellcat Red eye in to get serviced and I was looking around and they had about 15 R/Ts and they were selling them all at MSRP no discounts which surprised me.
I live in Arizona and there's a lot of rich people here, You have a hard time finding a red eye of either charge Or challenger. You can find regular Body Hellcats, Wide body scatpacks, and of course the six cylinder. The job situation is not that bad here, So people drive what they want to drive. I just think everybody that wanted One of these cars has already bought 1.
“Snottsdale” lawyers got a few and then the cougars bought a few more for their 25 yr old boyfriend.
I agree a 100%. I love to have a SCAT PACK but I'm retired and can't afford the new prices.
This is my second Mopar I am done with them I got one more year to pay my Scat Pack off that is it
My 3rd one and i agree 🤣🤣🤦🏿
Excellent Video And Spot On! 👍
Another great video and thanks
Dodge did a lot of things wrong but the main thing is that he never really changed the vehicles by much so when you bring the 2023 prices up, ppl said I’ll just get a used one. Plus you could just build one at this rate bc all the parts are pretty much interchangeable
No one ever gives props to Cadillac's CTS-V /coupe for bringing over 550HP and a SUPERCHARGED v8 to the party BEFORE Dodge did it in the Hellcat.
GM lost their way too.
Now they produce 500 - 700 HP Electric Lyriqs.
What’s the best aftermarket exhaust for the scatpack?
I think you're on the right track. I own two Dodge cars - a '16 RT Challenger and an '08 SRT8 Magnum. In Southern California, you can't throw a brick without it hitting some random challenger - they're everywhere. I love my car, but it doesn't stand out. By FAR I get more head turning and questions about the station wagon! 17 years of challengers is a long time. And unless you're really into Dodge, one looks the same as the next. It's like Porsche. Put two clean ones side by side, and I couldn't tell which was brand new and which was 40 years old, or which one was a $50k Porsche and which one was a $500k Porsche.
Any issues with the 16 R/T Challenger, I am looking at a Shaker with just 25K miles.
@@capricetony I had three problems, currently at about 120k miles. The antenna shorted out somehow, showed I was two times zones away and wouldn't pick up any radio stations. Dealer fixed it for a few hundred dollars. The other two problems I haven't gotten fixed. The center console cracked and split where my elbow rests while driving, and the leather interior panel on the driver door has bad adhesive, so on hot days you can hear it grip and release when you press against it. Other than that, been a great car with only scheduled maintenance.
@@rhaegotiall interior door panels peel away from the doors
@@2toofulcenter console too. My RTs in curling up bad and had been like that after the first couple years and ordered new. Annoying AsF but not complaining much since it’s mechanically perfect @ 126k
Also insurance is a big factor for how much these cost a month
The Roadrunner. Big engine, light body, cheap price. That’s the winning formula. Heavy car, big motor, big markups, big price is the losing formula. People work for a living, can’t live in their cars. Lost sight of reality
Mechanically, The WIDEBODY models have ELECTRIC STEERING while the narrow bodies have hydraulic steering. A lot of people forget that.
The widebody also necessitates larger/ wider tires and wheels. The price increase is partly due to those factors.
Widebody models have a lower top speed than narrow body models due to drag.
Drag ?? Both cars have the same engine; the difference being the limiter/governor is set lower on the narrow body because the suspension and skinny tires can’t handle the extra power generated, there’s tons of videos showing the WB’s ahead of the narrow body.
Facts
@RARochester wrong!
@@lmjames33 Ok, so Dodge charges $6000.00 more for a WB that's slower than the narrowbody; let me guess, you have a narrowbody. Yeah, Dodge ADDS the wider tires and adaptive suspension because the car is slower than the narrowbody !!!!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Dude, did you make it through 5th grade or did you start cheating at 5th grade ???????????????????????????????????????????????
Google it : Dodge says the Scat Pack Widebody pulls 0.98 g on the skidpad and is 1.3 seconds quicker around the same track than the standard, narrow-body Scat Pack but still slower than the Hellcat Widebody.Feb 2, 2022

I just got me a 2018 MT WB hellcat… my first Mopar… always been a mopar head since Viper came out… but never been able to afford it… (move to US 20 years ago… college, family, work, etc) is not a viper… but it will do! (More comfortable than a viper too) 😂
well said man... Currently in the market but abt to leave the market...refuse to pay prices so inflated......absurd
New favorite channel make me wanna make one, when I get my scat pack😂😅
Very helpful
Interest rates are crazy high, and some people are getting denied loans
The challenger body exterior technology hasn’t ever changed since early 2000s minus the lights. Technology the same car
Moving out of the Brotherhood, been looking for Durango RT Tow n Go but it's $80,000 CAD MSRP according to the dealership. I just want a 392 scat pack Challenger
The theft rate and interest rate got way too high for the consumers. Plus the cars just got boring.

I’m not planning to leave Dodge all together I’m just shifting to a RAM 2500 and 3500 mega cab truck. The trucks are versatile and I can do more things with a truck from work, hauling, and long distance travel. I totally agree with you, but I still love my challenger widebody fam
I moved on to a beautiful 2019 RS7 AWD‼️Used.
@klkconklk8411 Hp 621 performance model AWD but it feels like more than that. I haven’t met a Hellcat or any other model keep up with me yet.🤷♂️3 Years in.
I saw a nice one on a used car/new car website for 80k. I think I might go for that deal. I just brought a house with a garage. You know what the garage is for.
Look, there are still dealerships trying to get dealer markups above msrp. Look at the inventory on the lots.
It's Stellantis who is Greedy & passed that shit to CDJR. A '21 392 Jeep Rubi was 76k. That model stayed exact same thru '23, but '23s were 90k. The final edition is '24 & it's 96k right now at tax time but dealers got huge greed for additional 10-50k extra, depending on badging & leather color. The main thing Jeep has that Dodge doesn't is the rarity on #s, as they're only 6600 made per year, so 26k total Jeep 392s, but they all going balls deep with greed because it's Hemi's last year. No thanks..
Honestly outside of car meets, I may see one WB challenger of any trim once a week. Just waiting for the wb challenger scat price to drop od
I agree Bro! With everything you said, any news on price on ev scat maybe interested if there is a $10000 tax credit
The 300 swaps is the new new

yup people going custom since dodge aint doing it
@@Elder-Bryant
People are simply fixing one of CDJR’s biggest mistakes!!!! Not offering a SRT / HC 300 after 2015 (until the Last Call C & for export-only markets🤦🏾♂️). They should’ve built them and obviously they would’ve still sold, probably for more 💰. I would’ve gotten one over my Redeye if it was offered. I’m glad everyone is doing swaps and doing what should’ve been done years ago!
I just drove past my local GMC dealer the other day and they had a used Durango Hellcat on their lot on a podium on the outside of the actual car lot. Asking $85k. Ridiculous
My auto mart puts the scatpacks and Trx’s inside the service lane here. They just recently this week put them in the parking lot to be stolen 😂😂😂😂
I think another reason for slow Dodge sales besides high prices is not everybody is into V8 6.2 vehicles. Alot of people might be anticipating the ELECTRICAL VEHICLES out with the old in with the New mentality like what's NEW ??!!
If we took a shot every time my boy said mystique or allure we’d all be dead lmao
You forgot to mention how hot these cars are now with police, I'm a truck driver, I see them pulled over on the daily.
When a non- salvaged decent mileage RedEye goes for upper 60’s low 70’s I’ll consider.

Not only that but let’s talk about the insurance cost for these things on top of a 900+ car note . Nope I’ll past !
I agree these prices are wild, but if you take a look at an inflation calculator, $45k in 2015 is equivalent to $59.7k in 2024. So realistically, the price didn’t just go up for nothing. Still a crazy price, but that’s just inflation at work
Ford also offers a factory warrantied supercharger that can be purchased and installed.
That sucks for people who spent a $100k on a redeye and in 6 months they'll be SUPER upside-down
