Tad this was great. I appreciate all the time you put into making this video and educating the public.
thank you, brother 🙏
Appreciate the info on the thermostat… I had to replace mine with a new one and was unsure I connected it for dual fuel correctly. After watching your video I feel confident that it is now correctly set up. This was just the video I was looking for.
Awesome Rick thank you very much I really appreciate you watching definitely click that like button
Remote areas or anyone in general, these solar heat pumps are creeping in. Seems like a good idea. Propane and oil tanks have got to go. The gouging and delays were bad 30 years ago. And it's still a problem today. Dual fuel is mandatory in my opinion. To not be locked into one type.
pressure switch has to b installed in propane its like a water level switch to indicate if low or high.
Thank for the help trying to install duel fuel unit big help
Im so glad I found you .....you really hit good details in the video...great stuff man
Welcome aboard!
I am Glad YOU are here
for propane ull need an extra kit.
nice job. thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching! Let me know how I can help please share and subscribe
In defrost mode, does the gas furnace kicks on to fight the cold coil?
i told u propane not cocaine bobbyyy.
Also says Wireless for outdoor temperature for dual fuel. Ours is connected to the internet with the internet icon on and we have it all configured for dual fuel, 3H, 2C Heat Pump, with 40f heat pump lockout. But its acting like a non dual fuel stat and bringing on the gas furnace as the heat pump is running when we bumped up the call for heat a few more degrees. Does it also have to be connected to the Home App to actually get the outdoor temp through the internet? Thanks in advance if you know. Plan on calling Honeywell/Resideo tomorrow.
Shouldn't have to have internet for the wireless Outdoor temperature censor to connect to the thermostat
Definitely could be a programming issue or something to do with the outdoor unit in the board if externally controlled by a board.
Interested in installing a dual fuel unit. Currently have heat pump 17 yrs old with attic air handler. Main heat is a pellet stove. I want to switch to propane furnace. Is the York unit outside and attic installed?
If a 2 wire oil furnace is connected to the RC terminal with jumper removed on the thermostat and the emergency heat terminal would need a jumper to aux? Couldn't imagine some running a heat pump below 33 degrees because freezing rain would really make it not efficient.
Does this thermostat also work with a 2nd zone?
Is that the only unit? As in is there no indoor unit? My space is extremely compact and I’m running a York heat pump and would like to convert to a dual fuel
That is the only unit it is a outside package unit
Well say you want electric heat strip too as an option with the primary being gas. This being because you do not want to pay the crazy propane bill or the gas runs out and now you only have the option to run all electric. Will there be a W3 as an option for electric heat kit? Thank you
For a duel fuel I don't think you have that option available
My thinking if a heat pump goes into defrost occasionally it'll help increase humidity which could be a good thing. Is the dual fuel or fossil fuel kit come with American Standard heat pumps? When I got to thinking my oil furnace has a separate transformer which tells me that I need a relay for it to fire the igniter.
Dual Fuel does not come with heat pumps it is specifically a dual fuel unit
we don't sell many but they are great for places where propane or heat pump is your only option
Isn't that just a relay that runs the fossil fuel system since that system also has it's own transformer? Couple years ago connected a mechanical outdoor thermostat to my heat pump, and had to set at 33 degrees because the offset temperature seemed like it had a offset of like 5 to 7 degrees where it wouldn't come back on until near 40 degrees. Wondering what kind of offset the Honeywell thermostat has when it locks out the heat pump at 35 degrees? Which makes me wonder if I should set that Honeywell thermostat to lock out at 30 degrees and reinstall the outdoor mechanical thermostat set at 33 degrees which may let the heat pump run longer until it shuts down at 33 degrees since the Honeywell thermostat may not turn the heat pump back on tuntil the temperature is also near 40 degrees if it has a offset of 5 degrees if it's set at 35 degrees?
Hey man I am wiring up a thermostat to control backup heat. I have the (TH6220U2000) when I get to option 255 and select option 2 for gas the next option after that is 260. It does not give me the option for 256 to select option 2 for gas?
Wrong thermostat In the installation manual I think it gives you a number for the correct stat
Let me know if you find out otherwise
Hi I have a nest and only heat pump come in
Do you have to buy the pressure switch separately or does it come with the gaspack?
Pressure switch always comes with gas package unit
I'm dual fuel here on my porch 😎
ha haha yes I need to be there too
On the thermostat programming do we leave that optiion 300 in manual or automatic?
automatic
for sure
you want to be able to offer the automatic option to the customer
@@TaddyDigest Awesome man..Thank you.
I have to replace my A coil, line set and out door 5 ton condenser. With LPG cost going up and down and issues with getting it. I am considering replacing the 5 ton with a 5 ton 15-Seer heat pump and a new A coil and new TXV. I'll also replace line set as I am moving the outside condenser over a bit. Question I like the Gas furnace and the heat, so I want gas heat most all the time. So which Thermostat and or items would be required for me to have total control of when or if the heat pump or furnace is give the command to operate. And if there are wrong or right heat pumps to get. My system is Goodman and it's been great. Looking at the GSX160601 and the CAPF4860C6 A coil. My furnace is a Goodman GMNT-120-5 92% LPG furnace. Suggestions from knowledgeable people have kept me alive so far so I am open, thanks, Ron
Hey Ron probably won't answer this question over a live stream so I will do a video and answer your question
