I thought Ad Astra was a bit crap personally. The Martian is one of the best SciFi films ever, Ridley on form for that one as was Matt Damon. Brilliant film. Aliens Special Edition is the best for me!
Yeah, Ad Astra was a massive disappointment. The Martian's book was really, really awesome, and the movie did a decent job adapting it.

Who else is a space movie fanatic? I must be a space explorer because I've seen all the movies on this stellar list of brilliant storytelling! Only true sci-fi fans understand the rocketship of power of tranportative composition in cinema. 🚀🌌
Wall E was pure brilliance too.
There are at least 8 films that have no place in this ranking. Films like sunshine, starship troopers, armageddon or even Contact are missing and so on... A ranking is always difficult because it is subjective, but make an effort...

Passengers, Moonfall, and I.S.S. are all incredibly bad movies, lol
with that concept. I.S.S could have been something more profound I think... but they just make another action/thriller idk..
@@alessandrogibogini3526 no, as a concept it failed on its face. I commented the same thing on his review video: The I.S.S. is a research platform, it has zero military advantage. If there is ever any sign of potential loss of the platform, the military would instantly abandon it, and probably scuttle it on the way out. The movie was dumb on its face.
Moonfall was the worst movie ever and avatar is not a space movie...
