@@CrystalBreakfast Okay, so what? Quality of all RVC models is extremely questionable. If you source audio with even the slightest noise RVC will die trying to recreate that part. If you try anything high pitched it will also completely die when trying to recreate that part.
What has RVC done ever since elevenlabs was nothing more but a simple text 2 speech? Nothing. It's remained the same for the entirety of its lfiespan.
Edit: and RVC's realtime voice to speech from your mic is like 100 times worse than current elevenlabs. Somehow it manages to be more robotic than google translator.
The only advantages of it over elevenlabs is that you can use it as a replacement for your actual mic audio to talk on discord etc.

It’s insane the rate that technology exponentially grows. The next 30 years should be very exciting or frightening depending on your perspective 😂

The things Suno AI can do always amazes me every time I listen to a generated song, it's nearly unbelievable, I found out it can even make Spanish and French lyrics in the songs, and it can make Spanish Mariachi music that sounds so authentic, it's mind blowing really.
Being of the older generation will either end up being a blessing or a curse. We will have to see which it will be. Will the world change for the better with automated human like drones or will we see the rise of the machine Terminator style?
I tried it out myself (always on the lookout for voices for my animations). My first attempts were no good at all until I realised my original was too expressive. The voices seem to work best when the original is just fairly plain speech. Anyway, thanks for mentioning this. 👍🏻

I am trying to learn the basic concepts of neural networks right now. Then I realized I needed to brush up my maths to understand the technology. So I'm learning 4 hours of neural nets each day, 4 hours of maths and an additional 4 hours just reading the news to keep up with AI development. Good thing I'm unemployed. I wouldn't have the time to work anyway. 😜

@@DarrenLGoldsmith there is a very small selection and the price and turnaround times are just too much. I was able to use my own voice with a script from ChatGPT and have the project completed in 20mins compared to a 1-2 day wait time. ‘The times they are-a-changin’

My half-brother does voice acting, and we didn’t talk about this yet, but I wonder what his thoughts would be on this…
Time is ticking. You can have anyone do voice over now. The only thing people have to learn is the process of ADR and how to take direction from a producer. Intonation, pacing, etc. those are skills people can learn in a short amount of time
This is mindblowing! You can actually use this to train your own voice to sound professional.
For Music & Voice Acting it's going to be crazy
10:28 W-Okada's free realtime voice changer (1 sec delay) is as accurate as this Speech to Voice AI, if the models are trained properly. I trained some of my own models. The ones I downloaded from hugging face were hit or miss, some perfect.
What's nice about this one is it looks more user friendly for setting up. When I am making a YTP or Abridged video, I don’t need the generation to be in real time.
I wonder if this can do singing, maintaining the pitch of the vocals? That would be absolutely game changing!

I see a major use case for this in modding video games (e.g., expanding characters’ romance options.)
It’ll also allow films/shows to be dubbed with the original actors’ voices, and put more of a premium on VA skills, rather than on their voice matching the role. (Also think-no more cartoon kid characters using grown women’s falsetto voices.)
and here i was doing speech to speech wih open source and it was similar to this only but it used to take some time to convert!
I would also luv a cuppa tea. Smart idea to test the accent we put in ourselves, didn't actually think of tweakong the models this way.
Imagine using this technology with a real-time translator, it would completely break down the language barrier between people. As a resident of Montreal who doesn't speak French (yet), I hope it won't be long before we make progress in this direction. Thanks for the video!

Could be fun in theory. I mean, I'm sure there's people out there that would love to use a Jessica Rabbit or Minerva Mink voice to mess with people. However, seeing how things played out with a certain Text to Speech AI that had character voices, I'm not sure how it would play out in practice.
What I'd like to see is a live voice center for call centers with filtering for bad words, aggressive emotions and background noises. Call center workers can't always sound their best. Their voices can burn out, people can push their buttons and health issues can affect their voice. An agent selected voice could always sound the same and the caller would only hear that voice, no background noises.
I know this is a BIG thing to ask, since AI changes so quickly, but I’m trying to do a local AI on my Mac mini, for things like art generation, voice models (copying voices and having them speak new text), summarizing text, music creation, etc.
Can you make, or do you know of any tutorials on setting up non-online AI on a desktop computer? ✌️

If they get acronym identification on this it's going to get really spooky. They always mess up saying AI and such, like slight to big phonetic errors on certain words.

Yes. Lol I uploaded some audio from Apple's Alex voice, and set it to speak in my voice. The result is me speaking with Alex's intonation, sounding like a tts voice.
If I had this technology 25-30 years ago when I had my Pirate Radio Station it would have been really cool.

Edit: Found the problem; when I record straight into elevenlabs the sound was distorted and the transposed pitch sounded like chipmunks. I recorded it outside elevenlabs dragged and dropped the audio file and it was truly perfect. My mind is blown how good this actually is 😁

AI music covers are going to proliferate like crazy now that you don’t have to play around with timing, phonemes, etc.
