Jerry’s soul flows through my blood like a black muddy river… nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile!!! Lovers may come and go, but there will never be another Gratedul Dead
Perhaps, yet "Jerry did say that Grateful Dead were Eternal; but the men playing in the Band, were not!" Thank you all you Deadhead Digital Warriors!! Carry that flame far into...our children's, children's, children future! God bless 2 all🌹🧸🌹
5/22/77 is one of the most under rated shows of 1977. It is like hidden in the shadows of the brilliant sun that is May 1977. Both sets are as hot as Florida asphalt in August. H>S>F is as good as they get.
I was there and i recall a relaxed vibe with pleanty of legroom. Easy to navigate to a good spot, unlike most northeast shows of the era.you could stretch and breathe. Forever etched in my mind
It's really hard to imagine that they had to cut out 6 perfect songs to make a 3 disc set of this, one of them being the best BEW I've ever heard. This is truly the greatest Dead show ever played imo...I love the whistles in the background! Lol almost a 4 hour show! they were outback feeding the alligators in the swamp behind the sporatorium after the show lol
I wasn't happy when I learned that some releases had songs left off. I understand if missing because someone was busy during a reel flip but if there are other sources like Betty Boards or great Audience then remix it all and rerelease a second wave of the Dicks Picks. Especially with lost shows turning up, they are a separate issue but I wish we could order drives or CD sets of any show desired, sort of like how "Terrapin Station" was going to have. Too bad there wasn't that ticket draw like with Jerry as funds would've been easier to get to build it. Too bad Jerry had to leave.
Indeed it is and in full :) I been diggin it for a good while now. This show was when I was 12 and living in Miami...hahaha no way in hell my folks were gonna let me go to the sportatorium by myself.
the grateful dead saved my life again today
Just roll away the dew man

Yeah for real.....again
President brown , reggae, sings, a word of encouragement. Help I from not commiting suicide. Aluta continuua. The struggle continue. Rastafari
The gators in the glades were dancing and bopping to this track that night.
Make America Florida 🇺🇸 👏
Sometimes you hear something that you want to go on forever. This is one of those somethings.
I’m a firefighter, the action and drama of the Help solo starting at 1:50 reminds me of the drama of fighting a fire. The song title is fitting too!
I can dig that ...I can hear it cheers
Wow. Holy sh...
Holy smokes. That's great!
I read this AFTER listening to the Help so no bias swaying here. Different dynamics here and they went around 3 times in this version

I live for musical transitions.
Help>Slip>Frank... Probably the most bad ass and spiritual combo of all time!

It was released officially as a Dick's Picks. It's not really underrated.
Great show.
6/9/77. Also has a great h>s>f. You've probably heard it in which case you know that 2nd set is something else
I get what you mean, Cornell is always considered The Show. Cornell is sweet, but I personally like many others, like this one, even more.
Love this show!! 5/19 from the Fox is another 77 Gem
The Terrapin Station, without Lady With a Fan, right out of Wharf Rat is something special..best Morning Dew I have ever heard!
If heaven exists, the Grateful Dead will be the house band.
you got me trucking ben
Closest thing to a father I ever had.....

I love so much dead bit this jam here just has such a great shuffle and the notes are played with soul. Love it
hell yeah, when the grateful dead find that perfect swing with Jerry's notes beautiful soaring all around, it is blissful.
music that rocks my soul
Best show in my favorite year of live Dead!!! Dick's Picks Volume 3 not complete. Check out full show. Thanks!! :)

Help: Living daily life. No cares. Slip: Problems arise. Serious tones. Franklins: overcome. Rebirth. Start anew!
Phils bass sounds absolutely great here
Phil's Bass Rippin
that little lick that starts @ 7:03 is one of my fav GD moments
Jerry channeling Dickey Betts.
I actually have this disk.
3 is underrated for sure.
Happy 80th Jerry!!
Remind me please
1977 ---EPIC--- YAA MON.
Nice.
😅 can't remember if I was there or not remind me please
👌
😁😁😁😁😁
23:18 Keith just casually playing Foolish Heart about 10 years before it was written haha
Haha good ear! I hear it too!
For the full glorious show, go to archive.org. The Dick's Pick release is sliced and diced by Dick to the point of offense.
