Love the Hornet but certainly not just a 2 cylinder & here we go again yet another bike with a perch for a passenger seat if its a Hornet a decent seat with at least the option for a grab handle + a in line 4 or a 3 cylinder at least? 🤞🏻 I had a Hornet 900 loved it? Nice little teaser video EddieSetGo let's hope the do something a tad better than what I've just seen by your kind self!! 👌🏻👍🏻
Ugh, this is what I feared. A new parallel twin, and the inline-4 CB/CBR 650 will die. If they slap a fairing on it and keep the street ergos, I could be tempted to trade in the Ninja 650 though. Maybe Kawasaki will counter with a better Ninja 750.
I feel as do a lot of commenters. The 2 cylinder isn’t exciting but that being said, if you want low end torque, then you have it. The writing has been on the wall for a few years. Honda has done little to update the CBR650 range . A 750 modular twin power plant let’s a Honda do what Kow and Yama have been doing. Different genres of bikes using same engine and similar frame designs. I suspect an entire gambit of bike off of a 2 cyl 750 platform. Naked, neo-cafe, possible retro cafe and adventure. This is where the industry is at. Hell, if Triumph can do it, Honda can and will.
I like the look of that one I think it would be a winner going on the looks . Are we starting to see the 4 cylinders being kind of edged out I keep thinking this because of the drive to drop emissions and what easier way than to lop off two cylinders : )
bigger cylinders= harder emission control ...its just that with 2 cylinder you save alot on machining...mainly head and valves. but i prefer twin so i dont complain
The Hornet back in the day used to look so mean and I loved it . But it looks so old fashioned now. A 750 twin could be just the job. But that headlight looks a bit naff/Honda.
Im sure that is not the new Hornet. This is the cb500f of 2022 with exhaust of cb650r. I Hope the new Hornet will arrive soon. My wifes cb500f is awesome. Now i need a new Honda 😎
I love the look of the cb650r but I like torquey twins for that low down power and fuel efficiency. 750 might just be perfect if it can do about 65mpg and be fast enough to get my pulse racing at the weekends .
Is it really a Hornet if the engine isn't based of the CBR one? The old Hornets were a comfortable more forgiving but still with some of the CBR performance. You could easily commute on it during the week, and put the other half on it at the weekend or go away on it. I had a 2005 from new and replaced it with a 2009 Hornet, which I still have, and it'll do anything I want, I'm looking at this new thing and trying to work out if I could do the same and I think the answer is no. The tank looks very high and would probably not accept a tank bag, which I've used since 2005 (thank you Oxford luggage), if you tried to put anything on the back you are going to need some serious flexibility to get your leg over the back. The rear seat looks like an after thought, we have to put one on, but no one will be able to use it for any length of time. Probably the only way you can carry anything with this is on your back. If this is the New Hornet it will sell, but this isn't really a Hornet, it looks like they have thrown away the all-rounder part of the Hornet and produced this.
The photos you are showing look great compared to the photos I've seen of the production bikes which look HORRIFIC AND UGLY. I was excited about a 750 Hornet until I saw actual photos. An MT07 is beautiful, but not what I've seen regarding the Hornet. What a disappointment
Nothing thrilling about a 2 cylinder ever but that is where Honda is taking us. They will probably never make a triple for the street and the 4 banger is going bye bye. Sad day.
@@stanleyblazeraznik6047 Nothing thrilling about a 2-cylinder ever!?! Are you serious? Do you not know anything about motorcycles? Ducati, KTM, Harley, AND EVERY OTHER MOTORCYCLE MANUFACTURER have made incredible V-Twins for decades.
the HORNET is finally PRESENTED! what a PATHETIC DISASTER.... it seems worse than the 90's version, comparable just with a Benelli 125 WHERE IS THE FUTURISTIC DESIGN from the TEASER?? WHERE ARE THOSE guidelines? WHere is the innovagive handelbar?... please.. HONDA WHERE ARE YOU NOW????
That picture is a Honda Cb500f with exhaust tip from the CB650r :)
Yeah, it oes take a few design cues from the existing Hondas! Interesting to see how close they were with the design.

I hope this engine different from nc750 series
Oh no! It's a twin!
There's talk of a new transalp with same engine platform, smaller africa twin. Would be great to keep my CB company.
Interesting vid, lincoln. Ride safe, god bless u.
Eddie i think the Honda Hornet looks great. Two cylinders with 750cc is a good engine platform in my book.

It will have to be amazing for me to give up my X11

Old fashioned? I was selling motorcycles in LA back in the day, and NOBODY every talked about the original, extremely boring iteration.
That red version looks very much like the CB500F, so perhaps a higher powered version of that.
Wow that honda looks awesome 👌

Great topic. Hoping for an HRC Hornet that will at least match Streetfighter V2.
Thats sounds interesting! A jazzed up HRC Hornet ;)
I think it looks great but reserving my budget for the new transalp.

The twin cylinder format on road bike's doesn't thrill me at all .

@@generalyellor8188 The in-line 2 cylinder in a race bike is fine. The V twin in a Harley is for cruising.
Needs a round headlight.
Can’t wait. Looks like a CB500F on steroids. Much rather a two cylinder with real world torque
Seems to be a nice look. Doesn't have the ugly front light setup of some of the more expensive bikes.
Soon they are going to make these bikes in 1 cilinder 😅😅😅
wow toute une révélation 2 cylindre HIHIHIHIHIHIHIHIHI.
OLD even before to come out in the marketplace..
