The story is well made, and Keiichi technically did do something crazy. He is able to make her extremely happy and stole her heart. His brother tried to save face, but his own action. Keiichi also probably became known as the hidden gem to both mother and in-laws after that incident, where Yuichi taken the fall that he rightfully deserves.
Yuichi's fate: After Yuichi confessed that he embezzled company's money, he was fired from his job, his family already disowned him and he was blacklisted from every companies he goes too after his crimes exposed in public. U people think that he goes to prison but apparently he got sued by his company after the court forcing him to pay back the money that he embezzled which ended up in debt. And now he was forced to work at the fishing boat to pay back his debts since he has nothing now.

The police has located where Yuichi works as a part-time worker, five officers went to location, the worker who works at a fishing boat was questioning the police why they want to arrest Yuichi, the police told them that he was a wanted criminal for embezzlement, they were shocked to hear that Yuichi is a wanted criminal for embezzlement at his previous job, the boss of Yuichi's workplace and his co-workers was so angry that Yuichi hide his true status.
So, he told the police where he is and follows him, Yuichi was now caught red handed by the cops. The boss of his workplace yell at Yuichi for not telling his true status:
