I wanted to be married growing up. Didn't date much until after University. Everyone just felt -wrong-. I started thinking about becoming a nun in college, and seemed to cement it when i dated. I figured maybe I was just blessed with a temprament that wasnt interested in sex. While praying and meditating about it, i got a clear call to matrimony. Then i got SA'd on a date. It destroyed me to the point I briefly want to exist anymore. Then I met my husband, a man with overflowing patience, who wanted to fall in love with me, who felt right from our first date. We have 3 beautiful boys together and I love to exist with them, and to serve my parish in lay roles.
Father Leo, you ROCK!!! I love your compassionate ❤️ heart. There is nothing wrong with loving GOD. Even if you do have a spouse, the love of God and for God should be first and foremost in our lives. I've lost many people in my life because I put God first.
I know your message is old, but I wanted to say that Jesus still chooses you. He chose you from the moment of conception to be his bride. I felt very called to religious life and started dating only because God asked me to (I love my boyfriend very much. It just took longer than I expected 😂). Some are called to live out the heavenly marriage on earth (like Sister) and most are called to live it out symbolically through matrimony. At the end of our lives tho, Christ calls each of us to marry him for eternity. This life is such a blessing but it’s nothing compared to what is to come. Christ loves you so much and you too are very blessed ❤️ God bless you 💕
Salut for nuns and priests to say "yes" to Lord Jesus Christ's invitation! Thank you for consagrate your life for the world like Jesus did before!🙏🙏🙏🙏❤❤❤❤❤
Interesting, would love for you to explain your logic behind this comment - I get what you are trying to say but then it implies that everyone is the same and we are all called to the same vocation.
@@TheFatherLeoShow I believe relationships and marriage are very favorable in the eyes of god and those who preach the word of god should practice what they preach. What I mean is that the bible says to “Be fruitful and multiply” but the priest who does not engage in this is not following the word which is not wrong, just sub-optimal. I don't believe that bearing children or being in a relationship necessarily constitutes a vocation that would interfere with being a nun or priest. Thanks for the reply.
@@MrWickerWeaverbut don’t forget in the Gospel when Jesus Himself is teaching on marriage He mentions those who give up the opportunity for marriage for the sake of the Kingdom of God.
Tell Jesus He was supposed to "be fruitful and multiply" or He's going against the Divine Will...??? Blessed are those who stay single "for the sake of the Kingdom of God," like the Apostles, Priests, Monks and Nuns, giving Full Time to serving God. The Family should be the Domestic Church or Domestic Monastery, but Consecrated Celibacy allows for Total Self-Giving, 100%. But as Fr. Leo says, it depends what God has created you for... if no one got Married and had children, where would the world be? "Thy Kingdom Come, Thy Will be Done." 🙏✝️🙏
I'm a single woman in my late 30's and I've never dated anyone either. And I still hold out hope that someday I'll be brave enough to date and find a husband. But! I understand this nun completely, because although I may not be dating anyone. In an odd sort of way, us practicing Christians "date" Jesus but we are not always faithful to Him and we "cheat" on Him when we fall into sin. But this nun, she not only fell in love with Jesus but she married Him! She consecrated her life to fulfill the will of God and to serve Him here on earth. And this is something that *_ALL OF US_* are called to do, we are called to serve our fellowman in the way that our Lord Jesus Christ had commanded us to do. So, these people in the religious orders have put their *_WHOLE LIVES_* on the line for Jesus. And that is beautiful and something that should inspire us all to do, to serve God in every aspect of our lives. I absolutely have fallen in love with Jesus and this is why I came back to my Catholic faith. It was experiencing the Holy Trinity in the Most Blessed Sacrament of the altar. And I'm not sorry to say this but Jesus is above all mankind, including any man that I may date and eventually marry. So, I understand why these people have consecrated their lives to serving Him. I have fallen in love with Jesus in a way that is not necessarily "romantic" but a love that is *_ALL CONSUMING_* for Him. A love that transcends intellectual understanding and comprehension. A love that is whole. I love my Jesus. ❤️✨
Just think of how stressful that would be for a family!! Priests can be called at any time of the night or day.. imagine a new mother with a crying baby at night hearing her husband say “ sorry gotta go, a parishioner needs me more than you right now”! . The priest would struggle to give a full commitment to both the Church and his wife and children. He might create resentment in his home.
after ordination u can't do this. yes bt whn u were seminarians u hv choice. bt u become priest its sin and plzzz its humble request to u people don't make like this video it's not gd for our society plzzz not gd like this video.
What an insult to God. I pray that this man asks for God’s mercy and to be spared from His justice. He didn’t only interrupt a prayer but he interrupted the highest form of WORSHIP for Catholics
Thank you Father for interviewing Sister Mary Gemma. Is there a complete video of the interview? GOD Bless You both. 🙏🏽🩵🙏🏽
There is a complete, you click on link there almost at the bottom

“Be fruitful and multiply” - God
“I’m not gonna be fruitful or multiply” - Nun

I don't understand why priests and nuns aren't allowed to get married...
Because they worship Paul, not Jesus.
They we made to be gay lesbian
This nun is so beautiful ,iwish i would get her contact
Amen ✝️🛐📿
AMEN 🙏
Do people ever ask lay people what they might be missing in lot looking seriously into consecrated life??
What order is she ?
I really think I'm single because my whole life I was making marriage an idol. Like to me, it was the endgame... of course that's a lie.

I don't think I could be a nun. And i never understood why the priests and nuns couldn't marry and still carry out their devotion.

Could you elaborate?? To what incident you're talking about??
Preacher seemed suspect.
What do you mean?
What do you mean? Have you watched any of the content on the channel or looked into my ministry rather than judge it on 1 minute of content?
I wholeheartedly disagree. I judge each person on the content of his character.
Usual social media troll. Get the message and stop trolling.
I Wanted to Be a Nun it was my childhood Dream unfortunately The opposite happened 🥲💔🥲
