    The Sisters of Life discuss their mission and work as pro-life advocates. They emphasize the beauty and dignity of every human person, reflecting the love of God for each individual. The sisters share their personal vocation stories, highlighting the importance of encountering Christ through the witness of religious sisters. They also talk about their daily routine and the power of prayer in their work. The Sisters of Life provide support and housing for pregnant women in crisis, accompanying them throughout their pregnancy and up to a year after the child is born. They share stories of God's miracles and Providence in their work, and the impact they have had on women's lives. The Sisters emphasize the potential of women to bring life into the world and nurture others, and they address misconceptions about being pro-life. They emphasize the importance of authenticity and love, encouraging others to become the fullness of love in their own lives.

    These sisters truly inspire me to be a better human. Instead of judging mothers in crisis situations, I need to WALK with them. These mothers need to be seen. Their stories need to be heard. And most importantly, they have to be reminded that they are loved 😔 ❤️
    In the past, I have been one to judge addicted / homeless mothers… but these two sisters have shown me that just a few kind words could save a life (lives)!
    Although I can’t be a nun myself, I would love to become a nurse, work with a Catholic charity and help women in crisis pregnancies one day. Thank you father Leo for this interview. I look forward to seeing more of these 💜

    Wow - Fr. Leo - great show: Didn't know this was such a "new order" and how delightful for all of us to have you sisters in our church! Thank you young ladies for being so dedicated. May you have great success and help many, many lives saved. 👶 Those tender babies, even if not kept by the birth Mother, are gifts for adoption. Yes. He's so annoying I'm probably going to stop listening. I want to hear the sisters, not the interviewer who is showing off too much. Step back and let the guest be the star. That's why you invited them, not to make yourself the focus. Interviewing well requires the humility to shut up. You exist to help the guest if he or she gets stuck and needs a prompt, not to make it all about you.

    After 9 months of the upload of this video, @Fr Leo... this is the 1st time I hear/see your show and... you truly made me laugh 🤗!! Also thanks to both sisters for their testimony, I loved them. @ Sr Maria Agnus Dei, a 'thousand' years ago, I lived in Maine in a fishermen's town (Jonesport) in the middle of nowhere as an exchange student, and I just loved it (also played basketball). I now live in Ryde, Isle of Wight, UK which coincidently much resembles that town but the difference is that I have access to two benedictine monasteries with Gregorian masses (monks & nuns).
    A month ago, I was in Ireland @ Our Lady of Knock Shrine, and let Fr Leo know that... "Agnus Dei" appeared with Mary, Joseph & St John the Evangelist, so your name is not that weird 😉, but a truly blessing! God bless you all 🙏

    Ok I agree BUT, what do you do or say to a woman whose baby has died inside her and removal of the deceased child is considered abortion. It cannot be removed until the mother becomes septic. Very dangerous for the mother. But that’s what our laws say. Please address this.

    • @frankrault3190
      @frankrault3190 Před 5 měsíci +8

      The Catholic Church never claims that in an emergency situation like you described, a mother is supposed to die. Medical interception, in this case, is allowed.

    • @FigaroHey
      @FigaroHey Před 4 měsíci +3

      It's not Catholic teaching that a dead baby in utero cannot be removed until the mother gets sick. There's the principle of the double effect in Catholic teaching. If the doctor is trying to save the life of the mother and the baby dies, it's not abortion. The death of the baby was the unintended consequence of saving the mother. A dead baby can't be aborted. Wherever you live, the law is stupid and needs to be changed, but don't lay responsibility on the church for a stupid civil law.

    • @andreab1813
      @andreab1813 Před 4 měsíci

      This is COMPLETELY untrue. A woman in this situation (I’ve been in this situation myself seven times where my baby has died) is not having an abortion. This is not how the law works at all. There is no law that says anything like what you say..that she needs to become septic??? No no no. Stop spreading this lie. Under the law or morally, it is not an abortion.

    • @julies570
      @julies570 Před 4 měsíci +1

      That's not possible to let the mother die because her baby died that's not medically defensible at all. Usually the stillborn baby is naturally birthed and is called still born.

    • @roseericson3828
      @roseericson3828 Před 3 měsíci

      @@FigaroHey I am not blaming anyone nor am I blaming the church. Texas, Idaho, and Florida and now Arizona are now 100% no abortions and that includes for any reason. They will let the mother pass. A DNC after a miscarriage is listed under abortion, even tho the child is no longer inside the mother. Just really not ok, and sad.

    There has always been a very special place in my heart for nuns. I never had the calling or vocation could never imagine myself being a nun but whenever I see one does it matter the group. Not quite sure how to put that but they've always been special to me, including little Irish nun that I had in 6th grade. Who was the most beautiful and crazy woman. And to this day I have so many fond memories of her.

  • @FigaroHey
    @FigaroHey Před 4 měsíci +3

    Annoying when the interviewer keeps interrupting after asking a question. Let them talk and tell their stories and stop hogging the conversation. Why have guests if you're going to ask them good questions then stop them telling the answer? You ask her story then interrupt with custard and other questions that *nobody is asking* because we're trying to hear her story. Shut up with irrelevant interruptions about custard or trying to be funny by saying she talks in a tall way. This is an incredibly frustrating interview because the interviewer's ego gets in the way. Just shut up and let them finish when you ask a question. It's about the guest, not you. Shut up and nod until they stop talking or they lose the thread and need a prompt.

    • @FigaroHey
      @FigaroHey Před 4 měsíci

      Have you asked for support? Where have you gone for support? What kind of support do you need? Do you want money? Someone to come and take care of the child and give you a break? Educational opportunities for your child? What are you asking for? Is it something the church is set up to do? Are you clear and specific in your requests? Are you asking people for the strength only God can give? Is *anybody* (government, NGOs) offering the support you say you need? Why is the support you need the support the church is supposed to give? A man approached the priest when I was talking to the priest outside church. Wanted the priest to give him money for new pants or just give him pants. This is a Franciscan whose own clothes are donated and has no money. The man has a phone in his hand, so he's not dirt poor. Somehow thinks the church should give him new pants. There are dozens of used clothing shops in the city where he could get pants for a few dollars, but he asks a priest to give him pants. There are also clothing donation bins all over the city with the names of charities that collect clothes to give to the poor. But a priest should give him pants. Of course when the priest says, "The parish doesn't have a clothing distribution center for clothes for the poor (they do give groceries regularly to the poor of the parish), the guy asks for cash instead. You may simply be asking the wrong people and the church in your area can't possibly set up an organization for every challenge that happens in life. Sometimes we need to go to other charities, the government or ask friends and families for help. I think a lot of people just think that God or the Church are supposed to solve all their problems when in fact, you need to call on the Holy Spirit for strength and become holy through your struggles or just be an adult and search for help more intelligently. Call someone who offers exactly the kind of help you need. There are specialists for disabled children, many charities and organizations and programs and schools for them, government assistance, tax breaks, etc. I think a lot of people just have no clue what's available so they go all passive and say that God (or the Church) should just rescue them and fix their problems when maybe part of what God is asking of them is to take responsibility for finding all the help he's already providing through government or volunteers or charities or NGOs. God does NOT give children without being ready to provide for them, but we have to cooperate and work. We can't just say, "The Church isn't doing it for me." God will help you do it and help for handicapped children is everywhere in the US. God has provided. Asking the Church for something God has prompted other people to help with (and then resenting the Church) is like asking a lifeguard to come and put out a house fire and then saying, "Lifeguards don't help people whose houses are on fire." The Church was created to spread the Gospel and administer the sacraments. All the hospitals, schools, orphanages, hospices, prison outreach, and other charities and relief organizations are an outgrowth of that, but the Church is just not responsible for solving every challenge or problem or helping people escape from their Cross.
