The only one who had lower high heels than usual is Miyako... She was 4~5 months pregnant at the time of this performance.
I have so much respect for the work of these virtuosos and love for the result of their work.👍

Since you mentioned the heels, this is actually one of the rare occasions where not all are in heels. Miyako (stage left guitarist) was five or six months pregnant during this show, so she opted for flat shoes.

I’ve run out of superlatives to describe them. They are better than any band I’ve ever heard, and I’m in my 60’s. It’s not about “greatness” (they’re relatively obscure) it’s about talent, presentation, personality, engagement, respect and love of their fan base. I could go on for hours. And add to “heels” Miyako (dark har, stage right) was (we think) about four months pregnant in this video. So she was excused heels.
Well, your best superlative is, that you flied to Tokyo to see them live! I guess, that told me, that you like them a bit!
As this concert was planned for January 2021, it's not far fetched to assume, that Miyako was 4th or 5th month in pregnancy,
ending at approximately August. Maybe we'll be told one time!

LOVEBITES Conquering the world in heels 🐺
Midori - blonde guitarist - always wears high heels at every concert. She is also into body fitness competitions and took 2nd place in the recent Tokyo Championships
Asami, vocalist - also always wears high heels or high heeled boots
Miho - bassist, wears a lower height heel. She left the band in August 2021.
Fami - new bass player (not in this video) wore a lower heeled shoe in her first concert with them.
Miyako - brunette guitarist, wore high heels in the past, but in this concert she was pregnant so she wore flats, in their most recent concert she wore a lowered heeled shoe
Haruna - drummer, wears sneakers (trainers if you are from the UK) while playing, but switches to high heels for the final bow. She keeps them behind her drum kit.

Don't forget this is just part of a 2 hour concert. Most of their songs are at this pace. but with a few slower & ballad type songs added in.
Haruna on the kit is only 4'9" tall, and an absolute machine on those drums.

One of the best bands out there today, hands down, no argument. My favorite band. Haruna,Haruna, Haruna! Damn, she is my favorite drummer.
you will find that all of their live performances - like this - are at the highest level. the professionalism and energy is over the top. after your first reaction being to 'stand and deliver' i'll bet this one really took you by surprise. now you see what they are really all about. you have a long way to go with them. the live version of 'a frozen serenade' from this same concert once again will leave you stunned.

This performance has taken place during early pandemic days, with many restrictions to audience. It's still great, but it lacks interaction with the public, which it's a great quality of their live shows. There are many others although where you can check it.
And now that you have been biten:
They have more than 60 songs and all of them are formidable.
Many are saying this is one of the top heavy metal bands in activity today. Lovebites take references from classical metal bands from 80s and 90s, and write their own songs, including the lyrics. The 5 members are splendid musicians and they've done a great work in every single song, so, all of their songs are really enjoyable.

They are awesome live.🤘🤘. And they keep that up for 90 min -2 hour shows.😁😊 That is their usual stage outfits. Yep, in heels. LOL They are all between 4'9" and 5'2". The casual clothes in the Stand And Deliver video was a treat. That video also featured new bassist ,Fami, who joined Oct 2022. Here you see co-founder and original bassist ,Miho, she left in 2021.

Great reaction to a great song. In the summer of 2020 this was the first video I saw by Lovebites and it has been one hell of a ride since then. I grew up on metal in the 70's and 80's and I can say that they are at the top of my list of all time favorites. With luck they will come to the US so I can finally see them, most likely in multiple cities.
All the ladies were in heels except for the brunette lead guitarist (stage left) who was about 4 months pregnant during this specific concert. You'll continue to be amazed at how talented these ladies are. During this concert. one lead guitarist was about 4 months pregnant, this show was nearly cancelled and only allowed to go ahead with extreme COVID restrictions (as for the audience, no shouting, no singing, no jumping, everyone socially distanced, everyone fully masked, huge gap between the stage and the front row with practically zero audience participation. The crowd was literally only allowed to clap), and yet the band put on a phenomenal performance for nearly 2 hours.

One, I think Judgement Day from the same album as Stand and Deliver, is a better song. Two, it really dosn't matter what live song you pick by them. LOL. But, they actually have a brand new video from their upcoming dvd/blueray/cd release in August of an older song they just released this week. It's called Hammer of Wrath.
Only one is not wearing heels. The dark haired guitarist was four month pregnant. And, the drummer does it for all two hour show every time....isn't it insane?
Lol they pretty much always wear heels when performing. That's sort of their gimmick that makes them stand out. Making some facemelting metal and looking elegant af doing it 😎

I am tired of wearing only dark costumes on stage. I want to wear feminine costumes once in a while.
These were the words of the band's founder and leader, Miho (bass), at a meeting to select stage costumes at the time of the band's formation.
The band members agreed with this soliloquy and decided to wear feminine stage costumes with white as the base color. However, white was taboo in the metal scene, and the band risked being isolated. Nevertheless, the band remained determined to do what they wanted to do, even if it meant becoming lone wolves.
Since then, their feminine white-based costumes became their battle uniform to resist metal stereotypes, and the wolf became their symbol.
I wish you commented more on the music than their clothes and high heels. Do you do the same with male bands?
