What an exquisite setlist!!!! Lisa's voice is like a fine wine, the older the better.
I was hoping they would play “the lotus eaters”. That is my all time favorite from them. Something about their music that makes me feel different . Like my soul gets hypnotized by their sound , there voice , the instruments they use. The chanting and exotic vocals lifts me right up. Makes me feel like a goddess or a woman living in the judge, an Egyptian princess or something just can’t describe . My feelings and emotions, my thought are all over the places when I listen to them . Interesting

I saw them in Houston, TX on their Toward The Within tour. They walked onstage with no greetings for the audience simply picked up their instruments and for the next two hours, we listened to the sirens call.
A word about Lisa : Our lives can be busy with distractions but for those who haven't witnessed Lisa singing live do try to at least if only once, you will be richly rewarded - she looks so fragile and then she sings..and then she sings. And no, I've haven't forgotten Sir Perry, his voice is timeless....Peace.
I just cannot get enough of Dead Can Dance...they've illuminated my path ever since they appeared...and they can't do anything else but get better and even better...how on Earth is that humanly possible? They left me totally mesmerized and blown away after Bochum's concert, my second concert with them...Thank You So Much for sharing. Thank You Lisa and Brendan for being so incredibly generous and uniquely talented. With Love, A.
My Goodness DCD are playing their older and best material. I saw many of these great tracks performed live in the 1980's . But they had stopped playing most of them live after the Aion tour in 1990 .

Ok here is my reaction to a DCD performance. I have seen them twice LIVE and, for me and many others, it is a quasi-religious experience during which I watch and listen reverently and with high anticipation. Hence, I object strongly to spectators who feel the urge to SHOUT, WHISTLE, SCREAM and/or YELL in the middle of their performance.

yes, also a new version of "Bylar", and the dyonisus piece (dance of the bacchantes) was absolutely astounding
saw them last night in London. I'm still recovering from this amazing experience. It was like living in a dream.
Labour Of Love was actually last played in 1984, so a real treat to hear this one live again.

Yes, an incredible setlist. I saw them just the once in 2005 and whilst it was really good this setlist is far ahead, delving deeper, more daring, and their performances are stronger too. Wish I could have been there, glad to get to experience it on CZcams.
I’ve just come back from their concert in London! It was so intense and truly one in a lifetime experience. I saw them live seven years ago at Royal Albert Hall and was blown away but yesterday I’ve experienced the most emotional journey in my life ! If you have a chance to see them this year do not hesitate as it may be their last tour ever!

Saw them a few times in the 80's, once in the early 90's and the last time in 2012 at the amazing Royal Albert Hall in London.....This is just brilliant to hear some of the old stuff again live....Simply excellent.....

I was at the show in London on Saturday the 4th of May 2019 with my dearest friend. We were transfixed and utterly mesmerised by the beauty and joy of this set. Thank you so much for sharing. It is already bringing back very happy memories.
You're lucky to have seen them! I was too late in buying tickets so I wasn't able to go. I have such regrets! I came to London then, from NYC. Hopefully there will be another tour soon.
@@gojump7 I really hope you can manage it. A very different experience when compared to listening to them doing our own thing (meditating, running, sleeping or relaxing in a bath). They were really really good and I loved that they played their entire set standing on Persian rugs

Wow, je les ai vus à Bruxelles hier soir. Lisa Gerrard & Brendan Perry sont toujours aussi extraordinaire. La même puissance, le même envoutement durant 2h que lors de mon premier concert en 2005. Simplement magnifique. Merci pour le partage !!

Désolé mais 1er concert en France en 1984 Paris, La Sébale et Saint Brieuc La mèche bleue en juin je crois, puis 3 concerts à Paris la même année. Je pense que Rouen il s'agit de Theâtre de la ville en 1993? Cordialement

fantastique ! j'étais dans les premiers rangs et la colonne sonore de droite écrasait un peu le reste. ça permet de réécouter différemment. Concert extraordinaire, avec les grands morceaux, mais "Dance of the bacchantes" de Dyonisus, qu'on espérait pas, était le clou, quelle puissance !
