Sethi is probably the only journalist in Pakistan who could present the history of the development of atomic bomb by Pakistan so candidly in the context of international and regional politics over the last 4-to-5 decades. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and insights into the subject. Would like to read a book by you on the subject.

Sethi sir, we all Indian respect you a lot. For Pakistan, India might be ONLY enemy . But Indian didn't develop it's nuclear capability to counter Pakistan. You know very well, it was loss of 1962 war with China that led us to believe that we should have that capability. I really don't understand, why Pakistan has to react to every defense that India builds for itself from China. Your opinion matters to us Indian because you are mostly neutral. But when it comes to Pakistan security policy, you start siding with military establishment policy. INDIA/INDIAN ( Muslim, Christian, Sikh or Hindu ) are not your enemy. And MODI is not Hindu fundamentalist. Triple Talaq, Uniform civil court are NOT anti-muslim they are anti-nation. :):)

In 95 it wasn't Gowda infact PV Narsimha Rao. And he was once ready with nuclear test which he then backtracked. In 1998 nobody knew India was going to test. Even the US satellites could not pick Indian tests.
