I moved around a lot as a kid within the United States; not internationally, and got hella confused because different schools I went to taught different pronunciations. I don't know where I picked it up but I used to pronounce 'herb' like the British for some reason. But that got corrected.

This video is spot on!! I’m American and studied abroad in England. The expression that threw me off the most was when they said “You alright?” instead of “How are you?” In American Eng, if u say “You alright?” it means it looks like there’s something wrong with u (sick, tired, etc). So people kept asking me that the first few days and I thought I must look tired or homesick and answered accordingly. Haha! It’s the little things!! Thank u for this video!! (Your accent is so good I thought u were American the first time I saw one of ur videos!!)

Most of U.K. know Americans have a lounder accent than most British people and Europen people. Japanese,Australians and USA tend to have lound accents.

I'm from sri lanka and we have a mix of accents but it's mainly british, a bit of amarican and a bit of Australian and a touch of sri lankan. And our English education system is UK, it has been changed a couple of times to suit the students but it's mainly a british system

Excelente e interesante video.

American/New Yorker here. We don't use posh (I mean, maybe ironically?), but we definitely know what it means. We view it as a particularly British way of phrasing things and there isn't quite an equivalent in American English. I guess we might say bougies or chic.
