Sometimes I wonder how deep the meta-game goes between those two and if in this instance Quark knew/suspected that Odo would be listening somewhere in that cargo bay(thus saying all those things on purpose).

Any profit quark made off shabby deals is because odo let him he almost says as much when he said " he is about to make his biggest profit of the year " those words tell you he knew every move quark made
Not really. More like he knows a dishonest profit from an illegal grade brings more Latium than selling drinks in a bar. Although Odo did have confidence Quark pulled 0 of those in DS9.

This is what I want Star Trek: Legacy to be. Good storylines. A-class actors. And if it IS about the money, Trek has been made on the cheap (relatively speaking) before. Let's do it again.
Honestly some of the best interactions are between these two, where one never wants to admits to the friendship that they have but the others sees right through him.
I am curious what the literal translation of that ferengi rule is - if good behavior is defined as that which is punished, then what is bad behavior 😂?
None. The tech is identical for all intents and purposes. [ WARNING: LONG NERDY POST INCOMING!] Both can project upto miles and miles of geography (TNG Pen Pals, DS9 Time's Orphan), both can simulate fully self aware and intelligent / sentient life forms (DS9 Vic Fontane, TNG Moriarty). Both seem to be able to "fit" 10+ people in what we know is at most 500-600 square yards/meters - in what to them is the size of a stadium (or more). Hell DS9 had that baseball episode where, what, two teams of 15+ (incl subs and stuff - srsly it had every char except morn on the team - PLUS an equal amount of Vulcans) - total more than 30 in a room the size of a large bedroom. Both seem to have safeties that can be turned on or off for realism / experiments. Both can interact with your mind directly (TNG The Nth Degree, DS9 Our Man Bashir / A Man Alone) and you can "talk" to the computer via seeming "techno-telepathy". Both seem to break just as often or have emergent properties not expected from the programmers of whatever's just come alive and tried to take over the facility because it's suddenly having a hard time coming to terms with being friends with "ORGANICS!". In fact, weirdly, I think Quark's holosuites had fewer insane AIs than Starfleet! (TNG: basically any holodeck episode, DS9: Our Man Bashir). Both are capable of running an EMH (DS9 Doctor Bashir, I Presume, VGR: err, all of them). Other than we hear the term "suite" in DS9 in relation to privately owned commercial entities - for PAYING customers - and Starfleet ships, whilst not technically a military, are "official state employee" places - and don't charge the "customers", they're identical as far as anything matters. I think literally it's a case that "suite" sounds nicer than "deck" to a customer. If you go to a hotel with a casino, do you want "The Presidential Suite" or "The Honeymoon Suite" or.... "The VIP Room" or "Newly Wed Room". I can't speak for everyone, but "suite" sounds nicer, especially if I'm paying a lot of money. I think Quark calls them "suites" cos it sounds better. We're lucky he didn't go with Quark's House of 'Love'. Also possibly the producers when making the show wanted to ... I dunno, "differentiate" it a little from TNG. Kinda how in Enterprise they call them "photonic torpedoes" instead of "photon torpedoes" - they're the same damned thing (as far as any narratives are concerned) - it just sounds a little different to distinguish the style of the show. Interesting, but I think Mr. Shimmerman is talented enough to give a hint in his acting, that Quark was merely acting. Quark's long sigh etc, seemed real.
I certainly think Quark overexaggerated his contribution to Odo's love story. The real person Odo owes is the lounge singer.

Odo and Rene are truly in the Great Link now🙂

At least he did a voice over for Star Trek Online just before he went to the Great Link
Odo is a hard-ass. But he's loyal. And in some ways respects Quark. I loved seeing this side of him.
ODO was someone rare even today ...A man of Honor .
"A wise man gets more from his enemies than a fool from his friends."
The alpha quadrant may have been saved by a Ferengi with a heart of gold pressed latnium.

The only reason Quark helped Odo with Kira was because he believed that Kira would distract Odo enough for Odo to slip up on his duty.

He definitely had some counter cloak and dagger motivations lol
Perhaps in this episode but he helped him with her even other times for no gain
