I cannot believe how these two talk. Most little ones that age don’t talk much at all. They actually can carry on a conversation with Mom or dad. Amazing😊

I'll definitely have to look for a canary melon the next time I go grocery shopping. The twins' love for all things "tiny" and "babylike" is so endearing and quite adorable! I think it's great that you go with the flow and serve breakfast when the girls finally get around to being hungry. It's certainly a luxury for a stay-at-home Mom not to feel rushed to get the children off to daycare at this age, and what fun and laughs you can all enjoy together over a leisurely breakfast. They don't know they're not supposed to like fruit and vegetables. No one has poisoned their minds agains them. They seem up to try anything at least once. Since Mom doesn't fuss with them. She takes her time and later might persuade them to just taste it or "bribe" them by telling them they can have more of what they want, if they take a bite of the rejected item. There are things they don't like, but that's shows growing independence.
We have big farms out here in Ca that grow mostly melons, many kinds including Canary melon, Santa Clause melon, Hami melons, plus all the regular kinds. Most are yellow or orange inside, some rounder and some more football shape. They're all good.

@KimSnead-ey8er I sincerely hope you get over that soon. Good grief. I personally love to watch and remember fun or sweet or adventurous. You keep on about a dinosaur. They sometimes don't listen, and frankly, I'm glad mom takes care of any discipline off camera. Discipline isn't to be shown and remarked upon by strangers.
At this age they are just learning about “obeying” and parents should not be too strict with it or it will have the opposite effect, making them feel angry and defiant. They don’t quite understand why they can’t do whatever they want. As they get older and it is explained, they understand. Discipline is important but it must be appropriate to their age. Alicia and Walt seem to have a real feeling for what is appropriate. All children should be so lucky.

@KimSnead-ey8er I sincerely hope you get over that soon. Good grief. I personally love to watch and remember fun or sweet or adventurous. You keep on about a dinosaur. They sometimes don't listen, and frankly, I'm glad mom takes care of any discipline off camera. Discipline isn't to be shown and remarked upon by strangers.

At this age they are just learning about “obeying” and parents should not be too strict with it or it will have the opposite effect, making them feel angry and defiant. They don’t quite understand why they can’t do whatever they want. As they get older and it is explained, they understand. Discipline is important but it must be appropriate to their age. Alicia and Walt seem to have a real feeling for what is appropriate. All children should be so lucky.

Both girls absolutely loved the melon. Guin says "nice baby one...chomp chomp". 😂 Ana spit out her egg because her mouth was too full. I love how pretty their hair looks brushed to the side. Happy Friday everyone!!

Where did the girls come up with their "finger play?" It cracks me up as well as their "heart of Fahiti (sp)!" They certainly are growing leaps and bounds! Love my early morning (7:30) fix and it always makes me laugh!! Thank you Alicia for sharing their little lives with us!💜💗

They are so darn cute! We just bought a canary melon and it’s a similar shape as the one you have, but solid yellow. There are ridges, but they are also yellow.
